When Doheon returned home from work,he found Cheongyeon sitting at the table for some reason. "Yoo Cheong-yeon." He said as he approached Cheongyeon in the same impeccable suit he had worn when leaving for work in that morning. Cheongyeon, who finally emerged from his room after ten days, looked directly at Doheon and held out a brown envelope. "Let’s get a divorce." Doheon stopped in his tracks instead of receiving the envelope. Regardless how he reacted, Cheongyeon continued to say what he needed to say. "If one party is infertile, it is sufficient grounds for a divorce. I heard that a cooling off period isn’t necessary for cases like this. Even though I am the one at fault it's still the law." " I think we’ve seen all the bad things there is to see, so let’s just end it here." At this Doheon reached out and took the documents Cheongyeon handed to him. While he examined the documents the servants hidden throughout the house watched them cautiously. However not even the slightest sound emanated from anyone. The only sound was the shuffling sound of paper when Doheon turned the pages. The silence was sickening. Cheongyeon barely managed to suppress the lump in his throat." I…I don’t even want any property. While I can’t leave everything that was given to me behind. But I won’t be taking or asking for anything more." Doheon now finished with reviewing the documents put them back in the envelope. " Let’s talk about it another day, not now." He said. Just as he had always been the last three years and just as he had been at the hospital tens day ago. He remained emotionless. He didn’t even seem surprised about Cheongyeon asking for a divorce. It’s as if it were someone else’s business. " NOW!!" Cheongyeon yelled his emotions intensifying. " Let’s talk now" his shout piercing through the silence. Suddenly feeling something trickle from the corner of his mouth. Cheongyeon unconsciously rubbed his lips with his hand. The dry skin of his lip was cracked, and blood was seeping out. Cheongyeon roughly wiped the blood away with the back of his hand. And stared directly at Doheon , as if demanding an immediate answer. Doheon staring at Cheongelyeons blood shot eyes as he hadn’t slept properly for days now. He placed the envelope back on the table and than checked the watch on his wrist. " I have to go back to the office" He said. " That’s even better if you’re leaving, sign before you go." Replied Cheongyeon. Cheongyeon sprang up from his seat and placed the pen in his hand. The moment that Doheon’s dominant alphas pheromones touched his finger tips. He involuntarily clenched his fist so tightly. As if sensing Cheongyeons reaction Doheon frowned and stepped back. It was the first expression to appear on his face , after all this time of being emotionless. Cheongyeon grimaced in response. It’s a familiar occurrence, yet even in this moment he resented Doheon for his unchanging reaction. Doheon’s gaze lingered on Cheongyeon for a moment. Cheongyeon eyes swelled up with tears , as he waited for him to sign. A few moments later Doheon spoke. " Secretary Shim, please organize the documents" "Understood , Director” Secretary Shim was standing by the entrance, as if to say his claim that he had to go back to the office was true."And if you want to attend the meeting on time, you must leave now.” Said secretary Shim. " The lawyer will come, think of him as my representative and organize the documents as you wish." Doheon said in a calm voice, it was hard to believe that in this moment that a spouse was asking for a divorce. Having a long conversation with him wasn’t something Cheongyeon had excepted. But he also didn’t expect for him to leave it all for the lawyers to handle, like it was to bothersome for him. Doheon walked past Cheongyeon towards the front door as if he had nothing else to say. Cheongyeon stared blankly at his retreating figure. Is divorcing a chaebol really this easy? The past ten days of endless worry felt futile and wasted."…Have a good trip." Cheongyeon called out as usual without realizing. He hadn’t intended to say that, but habits are scary like this. The door closed without a response, once again only familiar silence filled the house.
