Di Kun immediately shared Tao Fu’s idea about using glowing toys to attract passersby.

Su Yue thought it over and found it feasible.

When she realized Di Kun had come looking to borrow money, her expression darkened slightly.Full novel: Exiled to a Desolate Planet I Farm and Raise Children in the Interstellar World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After a brief hesitation, she still took Di Kun and Su Yi to buy the glowing toys.

On the way, several passersby approached Di Kun to buy juice.

Most of them were young girls…

Before even arriving at the square, Di Kun had already sold six cups.

Su Yue glanced at Di Kun several times, feeling no jealousy at all—instead, she found him quite remarkable.

It was night, so few people noticed his good looks.

If it were daytime and he came to the commercial street to sell juice, business would definitely be even better!

Yes, she would try that tomorrow.

Di Kun, busy serving juice to customers, didn’t yet know that Su Yue was preparing to have him “sell his looks” to make money.

The three soon found a place that sold glowing toys.

The shop owner made three sets of toys on the spot, each labeled with “Fresh Natural Juice for Sale.”

With the toys in hand, they returned to the square to continue selling juice.

Su Yue intended, as before, to split up with Di Kun.

But Di Kun thought the square was crowded, so there was no need to separate.

Unable to persuade him, Su Yue stayed.

She then saw that just by walking in the slightly brighter spots, Di Kun continually attracted buyers.

She, on the other hand, only occasionally made a sale and could not compare.

Su Yi glanced at his sister a few times, worried she might get upset seeing Di Kun’s popularity with women.

Su Yue, however, wasn’t angry at all. Not only was she not angry, she was delighted.

Di Kun was helping her make money—and earning more than she could on her own. Of course she was happy.

About half an hour later, Di Kun had sold all the remaining juice.

The man had just returned when Su Yue handed him another fifty cups.

“The more capable do more. Sell these, and when we return, we’ll give you an extra meal tonight!” Su Yue said with a smile to Di Kun.

Su Yi, hearing this, nodded, grinning brightly.

Di Kun recalled the dinner earlier and felt a bit tempted.

His wife’s cooking was quite good—she could cook Chinese cuisine. Despite lacking meat, the food was even better than what he ate on the frontlines.

Yes, in the interstellar era, most people ate Western food; few cooked Chinese dishes.

Not because people disliked Chinese food, but because delicious Chinese dishes required natural ingredients and skilled chefs.

So Di Kun readily agreed.

To make his wife happy, she even gave him an additional fifty cups of juice.

Now he had a total of one hundred cups of juice in hand.

As expected, when Su Yue heard Di Kun’s request, her gaze was filled with admiration.

This made Di Kun feel very pleased and more motivated while selling juice.

By 9:30, the square gradually emptied.

It was time to call it a day.

Su Yue glanced at her Star Coin account balance, feeling reluctant to stop.

This man was more capable than she thought—he had sold more than double the juice she had tonight.

But it was late, and considering the remaining packaged juice in her space was limited and they could continue selling tomorrow, Su Yue decided not to insist.

On the way back, Di Kun suggested Su Yue ride her hover motorcycle, saying he had something to discuss.

Su Yue glanced at him and agreed.

Delighted, he happily took his wife along.

“You said you had something to discuss,” Su Yue asked as they set off, before he could speak.

“Mm.”

“There’s only one juicer at home; it’s inconvenient to use.”

“Buy another one. Then we can juice sugarcane and oranges separately without constantly cleaning.”

“Better get a larger model. Use the current one for oranges, the bigger one for sugarcane. That way, the sugarcane doesn’t need to be chopped finely and can go straight in!”

Su Yue thought for a moment and responded with “Mm.”

She disliked spending money, but worthwhile investments were acceptable.

Di Kun’s lips curved in a smile at her agreement.

“Then we’ll buy it later. Tonight we’ll work overtime to juice more.”

Su Yue felt tempted.

But thinking of the small rental, she refused.

“It’s too late today. Let’s do it tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow morning, I’ll go out of the city with Big Brother to pick oranges. You can juice at home.”

Di Kun was surprised.

“No, I’ll go pick oranges with you. Let Big Brother juice at home,” he immediately said.

This was a chance to be alone with his wife, and he had to seize it.

Su Yue was about to refuse, but Di Kun continued: “I’ll drive Zhan Feng; we can pick all the oranges quickly. And with Zhan Feng, even if we encounter star beasts, we’re safe.”

Su Yue’s heart stirred.

Recalling yesterday’s dangerous situation, she agreed.

“Mm.”

The hover motorcycle was fast, and soon the three were back near the rental.

Su Yue bought a larger juicer with the two, then returned home.

In the small rental, everyone divided tasks and got busy.

Di Kun worked enthusiastically while chatting with her elder brother, asking about Su Yue.

Su Yi liked Di Kun very much, answering almost everything he asked.

But the harmonious atmosphere didn’t last long.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

“Open up! Hurry up!”

“Are you done yet? What are you doing at home all day, driving me crazy!” It was the landlady, Mrs. Zhu.

Su Yi froze in surprise, and Di Kun frowned.

Su Yue came out of the kitchen, intending to have Di Kun clear the living room.

But she saw Di Kun walking toward the door.

Before she could stop him, Di Kun opened it.

Outside, Mrs. Zhu glared, ready to scold—but saw a strange man.

And he was extremely handsome!

Her words stopped halfway. After a few seconds, she regained composure and peered inside.

But Di Kun blocked her view.

Mrs. Zhu could only look at the doorway.

After several glances, she confirmed she had the right place.

“Y-You—who are you? Where are Su Yue and that fool?!” Mrs. Zhu asked.

Di Kun’s expression darkened.

“Who are you calling a fool?” His voice was displeased.

The innate authority of a superior poured down, frightening Mrs. Zhu.

“I—I—”

“Leave—” Di Kun said directly.

Mrs. Zhu instinctively turned to go.

But as she lifted her foot, she felt something was wrong.

“Why should I leave?! This is my—”

Under Di Kun’s gaze, she changed her words.

“This is—my house.”

“And the tenants? Where are Su Yue and Su Yi?!” Not knowing Di Kun’s background, she spoke much more politely.

Su Yue was about to step out and check.

As she left the kitchen, Di Kun gave her a look, signaling he would handle it.

Su Yue hesitated, stopping in her tracks.
