If the situation was serious, they might even be expelled from the safe zone.

Zhou Yin might not care about that—but she didn’t want anything to happen to her brother.

Su Yi’s mute little sister… just spoke?

And even… called him clingy like chewing gum?

While Zhou Yin was still stunned, Su Yue had already pulled Su Yi away.

He quickly snapped back to his senses and chased after them—

“Hey, little mute! Don’t rush off!” Zhou Yin suddenly shouted.

Su Yi turned around and threw a punch.

“You’re the mute!” he shouted angrily.

Su Yue inwardly cursed—this was bad.

She glanced at the sky, confirmed no drones were nearby, and quickly grabbed Su Yi.

“Don’t fight! If you have something to say, let’s go upstairs!” she said loudly.

Su Yi stopped.

Zhou Yin grinned shamelessly.

“Heh, fine, no fighting!”

Then he said to Su Yi, “Since Yueyue said so, let’s go upstairs and talk!”

Reluctantly, Su Yi let him follow them upstairs.

Once inside, Zhou Yin entered without ceremony.

He looked around the small rental, his expression full of disdain.

“I mean, your brother’s got S-grade mental power and decent skills. How did you two end up like this?”

“I heard the landlord came yesterday to chase you for rent. True?”

After looking around, Zhou Yin plopped down on a stool.

He wanted to pour himself some water, only to find there was nothing on the table.

Su Yi glared at him furiously, wishing he could kill him with his eyes.

If his sister hadn’t stopped him, he would’ve beaten this guy already.

“Thanks for your concern, but we’ve already handled the rent.”

“And my brother won’t join your team. Don’t come looking for him again. Otherwise—” Su Yue paused.

Zhou Yin looked at her, not taking the threat seriously.

“Otherwise, fighting isn’t allowed inside Boundless City—but outside, it is,” Su Yue said coldly.

Zhou Yin was startled.

Being stared at by her, he actually felt a chill.

He couldn’t help but imagine being beaten by Su Yi outside the city… then tossed to the star beasts like a corpse.

Alright—that was pretty terrifying.

“Ahem… isn’t that a bit much?”

Under Su Yue’s cold gaze, Zhou Yin’s smile stiffened.

“Fine, fine. I won’t invite you to join my team. But how about making money together?”

“I’ll be straight with you.”

“I picked up a job. Someone discovered an energy mine, but there are a lot of star beasts nearby—some above level five.”

“They’re offering 500,000 star coins as a fee to hire an S-grade or above mech soldier. You just provide the person—they provide the mech.”

“I don’t have anyone qualified under me, or I wouldn’t be shamelessly coming to you.”

Zhou Yin looked at Su Yue eagerly.

“How about it? Let your brother go—I’ll give you 300,000 out of the 500,000!”

He had already figured it out—the brother was simple-minded; the sister made the decisions.

At first, he thought Su Yue was useless, but now he had a different impression.

“Not interested,” Su Yue refused directly.

Zhou Yin was surprised, thinking she wanted a bigger cut.

After hesitating for two seconds, he put on a pained expression.

“Fine! You take 400,000, alright? I introduced the job—I deserve a share, don’t I?!”

But Su Yue remained indifferent.

“You can leave.”

The 500,000 star coins sounded tempting—but the risk was just as high.

They already had a relatively safe way to make money. There was no need to take such risks.

In her eyes, not even five million, fifty million, or even five hundred million star coins were worth more than her brother.

Zhou Yin wanted to say more, but Su Yi had already received Su Yue’s signal and stepped forward to drive him out.

And so, Zhou Yin was pushed out the door.

Even after being shoved out, he wasn’t willing to give up.

He knocked for a while and shouted, but when no one responded, he finally left.

Once things quieted down outside, Su Yue let out a sigh of relief.

She went to the kitchen, took out the unprocessed sugarcane from her space, and handed it to Su Yi.

She started cooking.

Though “cooking” was a bit of a stretch—there was no actual rice.

Their staple was still potatoes, with stir-fried wild vegetables as dishes. (The medicinal wild vegetables were only eaten by Su Yi.)

Natural food tasted great, and the siblings ate their fill without wasting anything.

After dinner, they got busy processing all the remaining sugarcane before going to sleep.

Early the next morning, they took the hover bus back to the commercial street.

With yesterday’s experience, by noon, the siblings had already earned nearly 2,000 star coins—and hadn’t been chased by drones once.

At noon, Su Yue took out pre-prepared “spicy wolf-tooth potatoes” from her space and ate lunch with Su Yi.

After eating, they continued selling sugarcane.

Just like in the morning, they wholesaled some to fruit shops and sold most to passersby.

By 3 PM, they had sold everything.

Now holding over 4,000 star coins, and with time still early, Su Yue took Su Yi to the supermarket.

The dazzling variety of goods made her feel poor all over again.

In the end, she bought some natural seasonings and rice and flour.

It wasn’t that she was being extravagant or refusing synthetic options—

She was pregnant, and under the circumstances, she wanted to give her child better nutrition.

Next to the supermarket was a clothing shop, so she bought one set of clothes for each of them.

Since they would be selling in the commercial district long-term, dressing too poorly might affect business.

After leaving the supermarket, Su Yue also bought a medium-sized electric saw and a bulldozer, along with compatible energy crystals.

They had already processed all the sugarcane they had cut before, and wild vegetables and potatoes weren’t convenient to process for selling right now.

Tomorrow, they would need to leave the city again to gather supplies.

Hmm… that sugarcane grove—they needed to harvest all of it.

That night, they finally ate natural food cooked with proper seasonings.

Su Yi showed off his impressive appetite, eating five full bowls of rice.

Seeing this astonishing consumption, Su Yue became even more determined to work harder.

The next day—

After leaving the city, they went straight to the sugarcane area they had found before.

Su Yue handed the electric saw to Su Yi, and he got to work.

With the right tools, thick, pillar-like sugarcane stalks fell one after another.

Su Yue kept watch, worried someone might come investigate.

After all, the electric saw was loud, and the tall sugarcane stood far above the surrounding weeds.

As large amounts of sugarcane fell, a wide open area appeared on the ground.

But her worries were unnecessary—being so close to the safe zone, no one came.

Instead, three wild chickens—each as big as an ostrich—appeared.

Well… she’d call them wild chickens for now.

Startled, they ran away without attacking.

At the spot where one had fled, Su Yi discovered a nest of eggs.
