Under the stars🌟
Zoi was Smart’s weakness.
Even though they weren’t far apart in age, he always saw her as a little kid – spoiled and stubborn most of the time.
They had never been apart from each other, no matter the circumstances.
They had traveled together to China, their mother’s homeland, two years ago to chase their dreams.
They shared a unique bond and tried to talk about everything together.
Zoi was truly a great support for Smart, just as Smart was for her.
– Smart…
do you miss our parents?
– she asked, as silent tears slipped from her eyes and her lips trembled.
She quickly wiped her face with the sleeves of her shirt, hoping Smart wouldn’t notice.
– I know, Pufi…
– he said gently, using her nickname with warmth.
– I miss them so much.
There’s not a moment I don’t think about them.
I wish I could stop time…
rewind it…
go back.
But now, it doesn’t matter anymore.
We have to be strong.
Everything will be okay.
Still staring at the ceiling, he added:
– I don’t want to see tears in your eyes anymore.
Calm down and close your eyes for a few minutes…
Or else I’ll close them for you – by force.
– Okay, okay…
I’m closing them, just stop talking…
– she mumbled.
But just as she was about to close her eyes, the terrible alarm started ringing again.
– Perfect timing…
– Smart thought.
– Of course.
Both of them pulled the blanket over their heads at the same time
