Ron could not help feeling hopeful.

Maybe this time, he would finally pull an S-rank card.

After mentally preparing himself, he switched the system to the summoning interface and pressed the button.

The familiar animation began, but the instant the sound effect ended, the entire screen erupted in brilliant golden light.

The glare forced Ron to narrow his eyes.

When the light finally faded and he opened them again, he froze.

A card trimmed in gleaming gold hovered in the center of the interface, its border rippling with light.

A golden letter S flashed repeatedly across its back.

Ron’s lips curled upward.

After so many summons, he had finally pulled an S-rank card!

Under his eager gaze, the card merged with the shadowy figure behind it, releasing another burst of golden light.

At last, the character was revealed.

[Character Card: Silencer]

[World: Dota]

[Character Ability Rank: S]

[Ability One: Spellbreaker Glaive (D)]

[Effect: Grants expert throwing techniques with specially crafted circular blades.

Each attack subtly disrupts the flow of magic in the surrounding air, improving accuracy.]

[Ability Two: Silence Magic — Arcane Curse (C)]

[Effect: Places a curse over a selected area, inflicting continuous mental pain and slowing all affected targets.

If a cursed target casts magic during this period, the curse’s duration and damage will increase and be extended.]

The curse disrupted the flow of magic throughout an area and subjected those caught within it to persistent mental anguish.

Anyone who forcibly circulated their magic power and attempted to cast a spell would suffer magical backlash, intensifying the pain and prolonging the curse.

[Ability Three: Silence Magic — Last Word (B)]

[Effect: Places a word-bound seal upon a single target.

If the target casts magic before the seal expires—or when the countdown reaches its end—the target will suffer a mental shock and enter the Silenced state.]

[Silenced: The target becomes completely unable to circulate magic power or cast spells for a short period.]

[Ability Four: Silence Magic — Glaives of Wisdom (A)]

[Effect: Imbues a weapon with the user’s mental power and magic.

The greater the user’s magic reserves and mental strength, the more additional damage each basic attack inflicts.]

[Ability Five: Permanent Intelligence Steal (S)]

[Effect: A talent that absorbs portions of nearby enemies’ maximum magic capacity and mental strength during battle, permanently adding them to the user’s own.]

[Defeating a target grants one point of accumulated magic capacity and mental strength, up to two points from the same living target.

If the target dies, the user will instead permanently steal a portion of their mental essence, up to a maximum of four points.]

[If the target is too weak to provide the maximum amount, only their existing capacity may be taken.

The ability cannot generate additional gains from nothing.]

After reading through the entire card, Ron’s scalp prickled and he drew in a sharp breath.

Calling this S-rank card merely powerful would be a ridiculous understatement.

If the world of Fairy Tail were a game, this character card would be an outright hard counter to nearly every Mage in existence!

All five abilities specifically targeted spellcasters.

This card was a Mage’s worst nightmare.

Ron even suspected that Silencer ranked among the strongest S-rank cards in the entire summoning pool.

He could barely contain his excitement.

If he acquired every ability on this card, he might become nearly unstoppable in this world.

‘If only perfect completion let me take every ability at once.

This card would end the game on the spot.’

Unfortunately, it did not.

Ron sighed.

Was this what people meant by suffering from success?

The system was welcome to give him problems like this more often.

For now, he needed to find a way to raise Silencer’s roleplay completion to one hundred percent and claim the S-rank talent, Permanent Intelligence Steal.

The challenge was that Silencer had to leave a powerful impression while remaining quiet and reserved.

That would not be easy.

Fortunately, Ron still had Buggy’s C-rank card equipped, so he had time to prepare the costume and devise a performance memorable enough to do Silencer justice.

He checked Buggy’s current progress.

[Current Roleplay Completion: 72%.]

That afternoon’s performance had raised it enormously.

Laxus had probably contributed a significant portion of the increase.

Reaching one hundred percent was now only a matter of time.

As Ron stared at Buggy’s equipped card, he began recalling the character’s many ridiculous achievements in the original story.

His eyes suddenly lit up.

Even after reaching one hundred percent, perhaps he should not settle the card immediately.

He had a new theory he wanted to test.

…

[Summoning Cooldown: 15 seconds remaining…]

Two mornings later, the number on the system interface rapidly counted down in time with Ron’s breathing.

He could barely contain his excitement.

Soon, he would finally test his rather bold hypothesis.

Buggy’s roleplay completion had reached one hundred percent without any trouble over the past two days, but Ron had deliberately kept the card equipped instead of immediately settling it and claiming the defensive ability.

He had only one reason.

He wanted to borrow Buggy’s luck!

Buggy might have been laughably weak by the standards of the strongest characters in One Piece, but his luck was so absurd that fans often joked he possessed the Supreme King Haki of good fortune.

That impossible luck carried him safely through one disaster after another from his earliest appearance, eventually allowing him to become one of the Four Emperors.

Ron had pulled an S-rank card while Buggy was equipped.

Could that good fortune continue?

More importantly, could it affect the summoning pool?

[Cooldown complete.

Summoning is now available.]

“Come on!

It’s time to see whether your luck is real!”

Without hesitation, Ron activated the summoning button.

Whoosh—

The familiar sound played as a dazzling purple light burst across the interface.

When it faded, a B-rank card with a purple border hovered quietly before him.

Ron paused, then rubbed his temples in resignation.

“Did I use up all the luck on that S-rank pull?”

Still, he had drawn a B-rank card.

Perhaps borrowing Buggy’s luck had worked after all.

Ron examined the card and sighed.

He actually liked this character quite a bit, and their distinctive personality would make them extremely easy to portray.

It was the sort of character card any beginner actor would love.

Unfortunately, Ron had no suitable place to use it yet.

The character’s abilities were far too destructive to unleash inside Magnolia.

“If I use this anywhere in town, Master Makarov will probably throw me out of Fairy Tail himself.”

After considering it for a moment, Ron stored the B-rank card inside the Multiversal Item Storage to preserve it as another trump card for later.

Buggy’s remaining value had now been thoroughly squeezed dry.

It was time for the final evaluation.

Ron requested an early settlement, and the familiar notifications appeared before him.

[Current Roleplay Completion: 100%.

Early evaluation is available.]

[Perfect Roleplay achieved.

All abilities from the current character card are available for selection.]

[Please choose one ability to retain.]

Ron selected Ability Three, the single-use defensive skill.

A C-rank Skill Card appeared inside the Multiversal Item Storage.

Once Buggy’s character card had been settled, Ron immediately equipped [Silencer].

Now he needed to finish his preparations and head to Fairy Tail.
