Witch Kingdom

Far away from the werewolf territories stood the Witch Kingdom.

Unlike the bright cities of the werewolves, the kingdom was surrounded by thick black forests and mountains covered in mist.Full novel: Fated To The Cursed Werewolf King — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Dark towers rose above the trees.

Strange purple lights floated in the sky, and hundreds of witches walked through the streets wearing long robes.

Some carried books filled with ancient spells.

Others rode on flying brooms between the tall towers.

The Witch Kingdom was beautiful in its own strange way.

But it was also dangerous.

At the centre of the kingdom stood a huge black castle.

Inside one of its chambers, several powerful witches gathered around a large crystal mirror.

The mirror was showing everything that had happened inside the Blackwood Pack House.

They had watched Hazel fail to awaken her wolf.

They had watched the black stone glow and how Alpha Gabriel almost ordered her execution.

And they also watched Lady Mira stop him.

The image suddenly disappeared.

The mirror became completely blank.

“Shit!” The Witch Queen slammed her hand against the table.

“The plan was for that girl to be killed!”

Her eyes burned with anger.

“Why did he take back his words?”

A woman standing beside her looked restless.

She clenched her fists.

“I told you!” Her voice was filled with frustration.”She isn’t capable of doing it properly.”

The Witch Queen turned toward her and glanced at the rest.

“Then what are we supposed to do now?”

Nobody answered.

Susan, the Witch Queen, paced around the room.”The prophecy said Arizel will awaken during the month of the full moon.” She stopped.

“That means he will awaken this month.”

Other witches exchanged worried looks.

One of them swallowed hard. This chapter is updated first at g.com.

“Ah… that’s bad.”

A red-haired witch named Sunny sighed.

She walked toward the mirror and stared at her own reflection.

“How are we even sure that girl is his mate?”

She turned around.

“She is weak. She can’t even break the curse.”

The room became silent.

Sunny continued.

“What if we have been wasting our time? Shouldn’t we focus on the strong one?”

Susan gritted her teeth.

“The High Priest is the problem.”

She pointed toward the blank mirror.

“She already knows something is wrong with Hazel. That’s why she stopped Alpha Gebriel from killing her.”

Sunny slowly looked at her hands.

” I knew Gebriel so well, no one can stop him unless he knows about it.

He won’t dare to hurt her if she’s truly Arizel’s mate…” She paused.

“But if Hazel truly possesses the power to see visions…That could be more dangerous than we thought.”

Sunny’s face became serious.

“What if Arizel finds her through her dreams?” The thought alone made the room feel colder.

Sunny swallowed.

“I know our ancestors did the right thing by sealing him inside that crystal coffin.”

She lowered her voice.

“But I heard they never knew everything about that man.”

A loud bang suddenly shook the room.

Stephen, the wizard, had slammed his hand against the table.

“That is not the important part anymore!” he said.

He pushed his glasses higher on his nose with a nervous hand.

“My only concern is that Alpha Arizel must not come back to life. If he returns, there will be a great war! I witnessed his era with my own eyes. He was crazier than the Vampire King and the Dragon King combined!”

Sunny groaned and shook her head.

“Humph! We will not let him come back. I wish they had been able to kill him back then!”

Her long black dress swept the floor as she turned to Sunny.

“Tell Sarah to find a way to kill that girl immediately,” she ordered.

Sunny nodded at once.

“Yes, my Queen.”

All the witches and the wizard bowed as Queen Susan walked out of the room.

Her footsteps echoed down the long stone hallway until the door closed behind her.

Alone in her private chamber, Queen Susan walked to the wide window.

She stared out at the dark fog that covered her kingdom.

For a long time she said nothing.

Her mind kept going back to the words Scarlett had spoken in the hall.

Vision power… moon chain… seeing the future… “How is that possible?” she whispered.

Her frown grew deeper.

She had planned to use the big mirror to trick everyone.

She wanted to make the black stone glow with her own magic so the werewolves would believe Hazel was a witch.

But when the stone lit up with red light, she had done nothing.

The glow had happened on its own.

Hazel could not be a witch.

Queen Susan was sure of that.

The girl was a lycan.

Yet somehow she could see visions.

Somehow she owned that strange moon chain.

The witches had a spy watching Hazel for months.

That was how they learned about the dreams and the visions.

But even the spy had not explained everything.

Queen Susan’s legs suddenly felt weak.

She grabbed the edge of the window to keep her balance.

A cold fear crawled up her back.

“Her blood…” she whispered.

“What if…?”

She closed her eyes for a second.

When she opened them again, her voice was low and full of worry.

“She is too dangerous. She must die.”
