Janet looked at Hazel in surprise.”Are you insane?!” she whispered before hiding behind a huge pillar.

Hazel placed a hand over her chest, still trying to calm her racing heart.

“Sorry… His Majesty just beheaded an Alpha with his bare hands.”Full novel: Fated To The Cursed Werewolf King — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Janet slowly peeked from behind the pillar.

The guards were already dragging Jeremiah’s body away.

They placed it inside the dark coffin that had been brought into the hall.

Janet looked back at Hazel.

“Be careful. I think he can already sense you.”

Hazel frowned.

“Sense me? I didn’t even make any noise when I came here!”

She looked around the enormous hall.

The throne was far away from where they were standing.

The distance was enough for a normal werewolf not to notice someone hiding behind a pillar.

Janet shook her head.

“He’s not a normal werewolf. He’s a pure-blood royal wolf. I’m telling you, Hazel, be careful. I might not be there to heal you next time.”

Hazel swallowed.

That was enough to make her nervous.

She slowly looked at Janet.

The woman standing beside her no longer looked like the maid she had known.

Her clothes were beautiful and expensive.

Her long black hair was divided into two thick sections and braided neatly, with beautiful silver hair ornaments holding the braids in place.

She looked more like a beautiful dark-skinned noblewoman than a maid.

Hazel stared at her for a moment.

“I love your skin tone,” she suddenly said with a smile.

Janet raised her chin.

“Good for you.”

Hazel giggled.

Then she noticed Janet’s eyes suddenly moved toward the centre of the hall.

Her expression changed.

She looked almost sad.

Hazel became curious.

She slowly moved closer to the pillar and peeped out.

Her eyes immediately landed on a familiar man.

The Supreme Beta, Ethan, was standing in the middle of the hall.

He was holding the huge book Caius had been reading earlier.

His expression was calm, almost emotionless.

Hazel looked at Janet and back at Ethan.

“Is that him?” Her eyes widened.

Janet immediately snapped out of her thoughts.

She swallowed and quickly turned away.

She didn’t answer.

She started walking away.

Hazel followed her immediately “Oh my gosh,” Hazel whispered with a grin.

“You have a powerful taste.”

“Coming from someone whose mate is literally ruling the werewolves.”

Hazel rolled her eyes.

“That’s different.” She followed Janet toward another pillar, still smiling.

But then she suddenly stopped.

Her eyes had landed on someone else.

Her father!

Alpha Gabriel was sitting among the other Alphas.

Hazel’s face brightened.

Despite everything that had happened, seeing her father still made her happy.

She raised her hand and smiled.

“Hi, Dada,” she whispered.

But before she could wave properly, she froze.

Caius suddenly turned his head in her direction.

The High Priest and Alexander also looked in the same direction.

Hazel’s hand remained frozen in the air.

Her heart almost stopped.

Oh no!!

Caius frowned.

His eyes moved from Hazel to Alpha Gebriel.

“Father?”

Gebriel looked at him for a while and rolled his eyes.

The High Priest chuckled.

“That’s the girl we were talking about.”

Caius turned his attention back to Hazel and frowned in disapproval.

The High Priest continued.

“Her soul doesn’t feel completely pure. Her vision may also not be strong enough for what you want to use it for.”

Hazel’s mouth fell open.

Excuse me?

She didn’t even understand what they were talking about.

Caius looked toward the Queen Witch.

She immediately shook her head.

“Not me!”

Caius raised an eyebrow.

“How can I trust you?”

The Queen Witch swallowed.

She was still terrified by what had happened earlier.

Rita and the others had attacked her so quickly that she barely had time to defend herself.

Worse, they had somehow stopped her from properly using her magic.

She finally understood why the older witches had always warned them about Caius.

He was not only powerful.

He understood witches.

He could resist most witchcraft.

That alone made him extremely dangerous.

The dark witches had once called him a failed result.

He was something far worse.

And somewhere among the royal wolves, there were witches powerful enough to stand beside him.

That was why the witches were afraid of him.

The Queen Witch lowered her eyes.

” She was cursed by something stronger”

They needed another plan.

If they couldn’t kill Caius directly, they would use his weakness.

His mate.

But the problem was that Caius didn’t even seem interested in having one.

“You know,” the Queen Witch said carefully, “you are in no position to hurt our race. We have our own rules.”

Caius lazily rested his head against one hand.

He looked uninterested.

Then he pointed toward the High Priest.

“Point of correction.”

The High Priest raised an eyebrow.

“I don’t have a mate.” Then smirked at Gabriel.

” I will kill her after I’m done using her.”

Hazel’s jaw dropped.

Again?!

She stared at him with pure hatred.

This man really doesn’t know how to talk!

She literally saved him.

She entered an abandoned palace full of witches and creepy things.

She put her blood in his mouth and nearly died because of him.

And this was how he planned to repay her?

By talking about killing her?

Hazel clenched her fists.

“Fine,” she whispered angrily.

She turned around.

“Let me see how I will help you if you are still rude!”

Janet quickly followed her.

“Hazel… you can’t be stubborn while he’s stubborn…”

“No!”

Hazel marched away.

“There won’t even be compensation for saving him!”

Janet sighed.

“Keep your voice down.”

“I don’t care!” she roared.

Janet suddenly felt bad for the two stubborn souls’ children.

Will they be worse than their parents?

Janet watched Hazel go somewhere she didn’t know, cursing Caius and drafting how she would take her revenge by not helping him.

“She’s supposed to understand the situation…” She lazily placed her hand on her forehead and sighed.

” I don’t want to understand anything!!

I’m not a pushover!!” She suddenly heard Hazel reply angrily.

” I don’t even like old men in the first place”
