Alex stood up, still dizzied after getting kicked in the guts by Ishtar, as he spoke.

“You attacked me…

because of tributes?

Fucking hell…”

Ishtar narrowed her eyes and leaned down toward him.

“Just!

Just?

Are you a fool!

I am a goddess!

What sort of goddess would I be if I received no tributes or worship upon summoning?

Do you know how that’d make me look?” she shouted back.

“You idiot…

I am your Master.

A rich millionaire!

I own plenty of money…

And what I own…

is also yours!” said Alex, trying to calm her down.

Ishtar stopped and said, “Millionaire?” Her mind raced, her memories of this place making sense of the word.

“WAIT!

That means you have plenty of gems!” she spoke in excitement.

“Of course!

And I’ll gift you plenty of them!” said Alex.

This made Ishtar excited as she leaned further in.

“REALLY!” Then she stopped herself, realizing that she still needed to show who was in charge.

“OKAY!

WHAT ABOUT THOSE SERVANTS HUH!” said Ishtar as she crossed her arms.

“You thought I forgot about them?” she spoke, clearly not happy sharing a Master, feeling jealousy.

“What?

That?

Of course I have other Servants.

What kind of goddess would YOU be if your Master didn’t have hundreds of Servants under him?

Do you want others to think your Master is a weak man?” spoke Alex.

This made Ishtar blush as she said in a soft, low voice, “No…”

“No!

You don’t?

So you have to understand that you…

are a special Servant, but you won’t be my only Servant, obviously.

But you’ll be a special one.

I need you to respect me and that fact!

Especially since I’m a big fan of you—Ishtar, was it?

You need to show me…

and everyone in this new world…

what kind of goddess you are,” said Alex, giving her that nice speech—half making her understand her position and half praising her.

It didn’t take a genius to realize that Ishtar was the bratty type who wanted to be praised and shown how great she was.

But her intelligence was somewhat lacking.

And Alex took advantage of it instantly, because Ishtar was already far gone in her head.

“So…

I shouldn’t attack them…

Right?” As her Maanna quickly stopped attacking and returned to her, she said, “I suppose I was a bit…

overreactionary there, huh?”

“Yes…

Yes you were.

But…

lucky for you, I was only your Master, and the other Servants who saw that—so no one will ever know.

Because Ishtar doesn’t make mistakes,” said Alex.

She smiled as she leaned further back in, grabbing his face with her hands.

“Wow…

Now that I think about it…

you look beautiful, Master…

Just as it should be.” She leaned further in, giving him a tame kiss.

“And you know how to treat me!” she exclaimed.

“Fine…

I approve…

However…

YOU must…

pamper me with jewels and gems, got it!” asked Ishtar.

Alex smiled as he spoke.

“Yeah…

Sure…

I’ll make sure of that.”

And so, he finally managed to tame his third Servant.

‘Sheesh…

What a hassle…

I did not expect to get a Servant like that…

However, it’s just like I asked…

A strong one…

and easy to handle…’

….

“OOOOOO It’s so difficult to choose!!” said Ishtar as she floated in the air, holding five gems in her hand, trying to decide which one she should get.

Meanwhile, on the side, Medea was behind Alex, both sitting in a lotus position, her hand on his back, scanning his magic.

“Just take them all,” said Alex.

“WHAT?

Really!

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH, MASTER!” said Ishtar, floating away lazily.

‘I really do not like her, Master…’ said Medea secretly to Alex.

He smiled and replied mentally, ‘She’s not too bad…

She’s just a bit bratty.

Nothing I can’t handle.

Just leave her to me…

You guys focus on your own work.’

“So…

What are you seeing?” asked Alex.

“Just as I expected…

You have an incredible mana capacity.

Much more incredible than even mine.

At this rate, give it a year, and you’ll have the most mana capacity I’ve ever seen in someone…

And I’ve seen the Goddess Hecate,” explained Medea.

“That’s good then.

I can manage multiple Servants by then,” said Alex.

“Yes…

But for now, three is still your limit.

Once I sense that you’ve got more in you, I’ll let you know,” said Medea.

“However, what truly needs to be addressed is your abysmal affinity to magic.

You are truly a walking contradiction.

I have never in my life seen someone have so much capacity, yet so little affinity.

I don’t think you can ever cast a mere basic spell without some assistance.”

“Ouch…

That’s not nice to hear,” said Alex.

“I don’t see it as an issue.

If you lack this much affinity to normal magic, perhaps enhancement magic is your forte—enhancing your body, speed, and endurance,” spoke Medea.

“It’s not as versatile as normal magic, but it will do…

Especially with a great capacity like yours.”

“Then that’s the path I’ll take,” said Alex.

“I apologize, Master…

But I cannot teach you something I don’t know how to use,” said Medea.

“Then I’ll focus on the next Servant to be a good teacher,” said Alex.

Medusa approached.

“It is ready, Master.

The documents were signed just as you had predicted.

By next week, our company—’The Black Corporation’—will be the sole provider of weapons to the Central City Police Department.

Soon, we’ll also expand to neighboring cities.

Congratulations, Master.”

“Oh…

Brilliant.

Truly!

With the news that Wolfe might go away for a long time…

We’ll get the new mayor in our hands…

And boom…

We own Central City.” He turned to Amunet.

“Legitimately.”

She smiled and nodded.

“Yes…

Master.

Just like you wanted.”

“What will we do with those guys?” said Medusa, turning to Livewire and King Shark.

Alex sighed.

“Well…

I was planning to train with them.

But apparently I have no capacity for magic…

So…

Just let them rest inside for a bit.” He had already started his hypnotization of Livewire, but as she wasn’t exactly an easy target, she’d been holding strong.

This finally made Amunet speak.

“And what about…

that man’s offer…” she said.

Alex narrowed his eyes.

The reason was, a few days after the arrest of Wolfe and the Black Corporation’s news of going public, a business offer had been received from a company in another city.

One that was appealing—but the person behind it was a problem.

“LexCorp, huh…

I’ve heard the man behind it….Lex Luthor….has had multiple problems with Superman…” said Alex.

“But…

The offer is too good to miss out on.

I want to see what he meant by ‘genetic marvel’…

And that project of his…

It’s truly tempting.”

He finally spoke.

“Project Cadmus…”
