Nya smiles at him, "Thank you, Felix. I trust you, and I trust her. I'll still want a more detailed explanation though so I understand it better. I'll see you soon." She says, her voice grateful and affectionate.
Felix stays behind, worrying about Nya, but knowing the conversation his mom is about to have with Nya will be beyond his expertise. He decides to trust his mom, and hopes for the best. He goes to his room, and takes out the book that Lilith gave him. He wonders if he should read it, or if he should wait till he's less distracted. He decides to read it, feeling curious and bored.
The first chapter covers the early warning signs of being summoned and how to anticipate it. It says that the summons usually comes with a sensation of being pulled or tugged and a change in the ambient magic. These changes and sensation are often subtle before the actual moment of summoning. It says that one should try to relax and prepare for the summons, rather than resist or panic. It also advises to always have a contingency plan in case of an emergency summons, such as a way to contact someone or to return quickly. It also says that it's polite to inform any summoner you have a persistent contract with of any schedule restraints you'd like them to respect.
Then he decides to stop for now and go see how Melina and Nya are doing, and see about eating dinner. He knocks on the door to the clinic, and Melina answers, "Oh, hi, sweetie. Come in, Nya is changing into a gown for the treatment. It's just starting, and it'll take about an hour. You can watch, if you want, or you can go have dinner first. I made some stew, it's on the stove." She says, her voice cheerful and busy.
He nods, "Okay, I just wanted to check on you two. I'll go have some of the stew, and make sure there's portions left for you and Nya too." He says, his voice caring and hungry.
She smiles, "That's very thoughtful of you, dear. Thank you." She then closes the door, and goes back to Nya.
Felix goes to the kitchen, and serves himself some stew. It's delicious, as always, and he enjoys it. He thinks about the day, and how it went. He feels like he's learned a lot, and grown a bit. He's both worried about and excited for the upcoming duel with Bia. It's clear to him he'd have no chance of winning in his current state, and he needs to take preparation seriously if he's going to stand a chance at winning. He knows he has to work hard, and improve his skills. He's looking forward to it, but also nervous.
He finishes his meal, and washes his bowl. He then goes back to his room, and this time works on making adjustments to his thought form anchor. He changes the task of the thought form to narrow their field of study to magical theory. He considers other changes, but is too tired to articulate in his head exactly what the changes would be and why. So he simply rests a bit and meditates while thinking about it.
After an hour, he hears a knock on his door. It's Nya, looking refreshed and happy. She's wearing her regular clothes, and her hair is slightly damp. She smiles at him, "Hey, Felix. Your mom is amazing. The treatment plan is set, and although there isn't really any change yet, I'm very hopeful I'll be much healthier by that time it's finished." She says, her voice grateful and excited.
He smiles back, "That's great to hear, Nya. I'm glad you're feeling better. How does it feel? I mean, what exactly does it do?" He asks, his voice curious and supportive.
"It's a bit hard to describe, but it feels like a warm and soothing magic is flowing through my body, healing and strengthening it from within. It has to be done a little bit at a time in order for the change to be permanent, and we'll have to regularly check my progress to see if we should push forward or wait for it to settle more first. Your mom said it'll take a few months to complete the treatment, but it'll be worth it. She also said that I'll be able to use more magic without getting sick or tired, and that I'll have more stamina and vitality overall. That's incredible!" She says, her voice enthusiastic and thankful.
He nods, "Yeah, it is. I'm happy for you, Nya. You deserve to be healthy and happy. Though it's getting late, I'll walk you home if you want." He offers his voice kind and considerate.
"That's a nice offer, but I'm afraid it's too late at night for that. Your mom offered to let me sleep on the couch, and I accepted. I'm way too tired to go back home tonight. The treatment took a lot out of me, even if I do feel a little healthier." She says, her voice tired but grateful.
"Alright, let me know if you need anything, and I'd be happy to help." Felix replies, and they say goodnight to each other.
Felix decides to make some final adjustments to his thought form before bed. He wants to see if he can make it more responsive and interactive. Though soon he feels too tired to continue. He puts his device away, and goes to the living room to check on Nya. He sees her lying on the couch, covered with a blanket. Her breathing is slow and even, but she stirs when he approaches. She opens her eyes, and smiles sleepily. "Felix... " Before reaching out with her arms and embracing him. Pulling him onto the couch with her as Felix goes with it while making sure to be gentle with her. She then snuggles her face into his neck. She murmurs something unintelligible, and drifts off to sleep again.
Felix is surprised, and a bit flustered, by her sudden affection. He doesn't know what to do, or what this means. He wonders if he should move, or stay. He decides to stay, not wanting to disturb her rest. He also finds himself enjoying the warmth and closeness, even if it's awkward. He feels her soft breath on his skin, and her heartbeat against his chest. He closes his eyes, and lets himself relax. He falls asleep with her in his arms, feeling peaceful despite the awkwardness.
Nya wakes up first as her eyes flutter open. She feels something warm and solid against her, and realizes with a start that she's not alone on the couch. She lifts her head, and sees Felix sleeping on top of her, with her own arms holding him close as he's cuddled into her. Her eyes widen, and her face flushes with embarrassment. She remembers pulling him onto the couch with her last night, but she didn't expect to wake up like this. She feels a mix of embarrassment and comfort. Though she doesn't regret doing it. She likes Felix, and she felt safe and happy with him. Still, she doesn't want to make things awkward, and she's sure he'll be embarrassed too if he wakes up like this.
She gently removes her arms from him, careful not to disturb him. She then gently and carefully moves with him as she sits both of them up. She takes a deep breath, and softly calls his name. "Felix... wake up, Felix." She says, her voice quiet but urgent.
Felix stirs, and slowly opens his eyes. He blinks, and sees Nya sitting next to him on the couch. He smiles, "Good morning, Nya." His voice is groggy and warm.
Nya smiles back, feeling relieved that he doesn't seem upset or weirded out. "Good morning, Felix. Did you sleep well?" She asks, her voice friendly and casual.
He nods, "Yeah, I did. You?" He asks, his tone curious.
She nods too, "Me too. Though I have to apologize for pulling you onto the couch with me. I was just... feeling grateful and lonely last night, and you were there, and... well, I hope you don't mind." She says, her voice sincere and a bit nervous.
He laughs, and shakes his head. "No, I don't mind at all. It was nice, actually. You're very cuddly and soft. Though I was surprised at first, and I'm not used to sharing a bed, or a couch, with someone. Though if I truly didn't want it, I definitely could have left." He says, his voice teasing and honest.
She blushes, and giggles. "Well, I'm glad you're not mad, and thanks for the compliment." She says, her voice shy and playful.
They share a smile, and then hear a noise from the kitchen. They both look towards the sound, and wonder what it is. Felix stands up, and says, "That must be my mom. She's probably making breakfast. Let's go see what she's up to." He says, his voice curious and cheerful.
Nya agrees, and follows him to the kitchen. They peek inside, and see food on the table. Eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee with four places set. Though that's background information, that's not the shocking part. Grog is there with both him and Melina naked, holding her up facing him and bouncing her on his cock while they make out. Melina's legs are wrapped around him, and her arms are around his neck. They're both moaning and enjoying themselves, oblivious to their audience.
Felix and Nya stare, their mouths agape. They can't believe what they're seeing. Felix feels a surge of shock, embarrassment, and arousal. While Nya squeaks and her arms tighten around Felix as she embraces him for safety and comfort while burying her face in the crook of his neck with her face burning. Felix is unsure if he should say something or not, and her grip doesn't bother him. Before he can decide, Melina breaks the kiss, and looks at them with a sly grin. "Good morning, sleepyheads. Did you sleep well?" She asks, her voice cheerful and teasing. Grog then adds equally cheerfully, "Good morning, Felix. I'll be taking the day off from classes to stay with your mom! She's the absolute best and I can't get enough of her!"
Felix blushes, "Um, yeah, we did. Thanks for asking." He stammers, his voice awkward and flustered. He then gestures to Nya, who's still hiding her face in his neck. "This is Nya, my teacher and friend. She's going to be staying for breakfast too. I hope you don't mind." He says, his tone polite and nervous.
"D-Do you really intend to do that... All day?" He asks, his curiosity winning over his embarrassment.
Melina and Grog both laugh, clearly enjoying the moment. "I brag about my stamina whenever I can, but I don't think I'm THAT good. Your mom's potions are amazing, but I'll take breaks here and there. I'm not actually THAT horny of a beast." He answers with a laugh while stopping thrusting to talk but still fully inside her.
Melina nods, "I don't think I could handle that either, so of course my day with him will be more sensible than that." She then winks at Nya, "I'm sorry if this is uncomfortable for you, but you can watch if you want." Her voice is suggestive and inviting. Grog adds, "I don't mind either, the more the merrier, I say." While Felix feels Nya peek out momentarily before burying her face into Felix's shoulder again. Clearly still feeling flustered and embarrassed.
Nya squeaks, and shakes her head vigorously. "No, no, I'm fine. I'll just... Stay with Felix here, please don't mind me..." She says, her voice high pitched and embarrassed.
Grog gets back to thrusting into Melina and she starts bouncing herself again. They both moan, and resume their activity. Felix watches more deliberately this time even if Nya isn't so inclined to look. He can't help but feel turned on by the sight, but still awkward. He knows his mom is very open and free-spirited, and that Grog is his friend, but it's still weird to see them together like this.
Grog gets close to cumming inside Melina as his thrusts get more frantic. He groans, "I'm going to cum, Felix's mom!"
Melina moans, "Me too, Grog. Fill me up, fill your friend's mom with your cum! I want to feel it!" She says, her voice lustful and loud while enjoying Felix's reactions to it.
Grog obeys, and thrusts deep inside her. He grunts, and releases his load. Melina screams, and contracts around him. They both shudder, and climax together. They hold each other, panting and kissing.
Felix feels his own cock twitch, and his pants feel tighter. Nya sees it while clinging to his back and looking down. She blushes even harder, and feels a bit curious. She wonders what it would be like to be in Melina's place, or to have Felix do that to her. She shakes her head, trying to clear her mind. She knows this is not the time or place for such thoughts, but she can't help them.
Melina and Grog finish their kiss, and smile at each other. They then look at Felix and Nya, who are still standing by the door, "Well, that was fun. But now I'm hungry. How about we have some breakfast, and then we can go for round two?" She asks, her voice playful and hungry.
Grog laughs, "Sounds good to me. I'm starving." He says, his voice satisfied and eager. He pulls out of her, sets her down. Then they both get dressed. They join Felix and Nya at the table, and sit down. Melina serves the food, and they all eat. The atmosphere is surprisingly relaxed and normal, as if nothing unusual happened. Melina and Grog chat and joke with each other, while Felix and Nya listen and occasionally join in. Though Felix asks a question he knows he'll probably regret asking, but can't help it, "Mom, is Grog your boyfriend now?" He asks, his voice curious and a bit apprehensive.
Melina looks at him, and smiles mischievously, "I wonder~. Should my son's friend be my boyfriend? Let's see what he thinks, what say you, Grog?" She asks, turning to him.
Grog looks excited and nods before asking without having to think deeply about it, "Yes! I want to be your boyfriend, Felix's mom!" He answers, his tone enthusiastic and happy.
Melina grins wide and sways, "I don't really plan to restrict myself to any one man, does this change your answer?"
Grog grins, "That's fine with me! It's not like I'm thinking about just sticking with you either! Though that makes me wonder, are you seeing any other men right now?" Grog asks.
Melina laughs, "No, you're my first after putting myself back out there with my Felix being an adult now." She admits before looking at her son and winking playfully. "He's very mature and independent now. I'm sure he could handle his mom dating again. Even if me dating his friend makes it awkward for him, but that makes it even better for me~." She then asks Grog, "What about you? Does me being your best friends mom make me more appealing~?"
Grog grins widely, "I'd be lying if I said it didn't. It's hot! It's even better knowing I'm your only boyfriend for now, and I won't hold it against you when you get more. Though I'll just try to enjoy this time having you all to myself more before that happens." He replies, his eyes on Melina's chest before looking up at her face.
Melina smiles brightly, "Aww, you're such a sweet boy. Then I guess we're in agreement! Felix's mom is now your girlfriend officially, and my son's best friend is my one and only boyfriend! Even if only for now, it's just you getting to enjoy me this way~."
Felix is flabbergasted. He can't believe his mom and his best friend are dating, and that they're so casual and open about it. He doesn't know how to react, or what to say. He feels a mix of emotions: shock, embarrassment, envy, confusion, happiness, and more. He looks at Nya and wonders what their own relationship is, and what sleeping together on the couch means. Yet he's too nervous about it to just ask. He can't just say he'd love it if Nya was his girlfriend like Grog has for his mom. Especially with the complication of her being his teacher.
Melina and Grog, however, are not subtle. They keep flirting and teasing each other, making suggestive remarks and jokes. They also keep touching each other, holding hands, kissing, and groping. They're clearly infatuated with each other, or at least extremely attracted to each other... Felix feels like he's in a weird dream, and yet isn't sure if he'd want to wake up or not if it was a dream.
Nya feels the same way, but also more aroused. She can't stop thinking about Felix, and how he felt in her arms. She wants to do more than just cuddle with him, but she's not sure how to make a move. She's also curious about his mom and Grog, and how they work as a couple. She decides to be bold, and try to learn more. She turns to Melina, and asks, "So, Melina, how long have you known Grog? I mean, before yesterday." She asks, her voice innocent and curious.
Melina looks at her, and smirks. "Oh, I just met him yesterday, when Felix brought him here for healing. Though we hit it off right away. He's very handsome, charming, and well-endowed." She says, her voice sly and complimentary.
Nya blushes considerably before regretting she asked. She quickly finishes eating before saying, "I-I should probably go get ready to teach today... Thanks for breakfast, and well... Everything really." Then quickly leaving.
Melina waves goodbye, "Take care, Nya! Come back soon~!" She says before looking at Felix while he's still eating and asks, "So, sweetie, do you have anything to say about your mom and your best friend dating? I'm sure it must be awkward for you, but I hope you're not too upset." She asks, her tone sympathetic and smug.
Felix sighs, "I mean... After yesterday and this morning, it'd practically be more shocking if you weren't going to date. Though of course my mom dating my best friend is awkward, and I know you too well to think you wouldn't purposely get under my skin with that because that'd be fun for you..." He says, his voice resigned and exasperated.
Melina laughs, "Well, you're right about that. Though it's not the only reason I'm dating him. He's a wonderful guy, and I like him a lot. He makes me feel young and alive, and he's very good in bed." She says, her voice sincere and lustful.
Grog grins, "You make me feel like the luckiest guy in the world, Felix's mom." He then turns to Felix, "Of course you're welcome to keep watching when you're here. In fact, I think your mom has a point about it being more fun and exciting knowing you're there."
Felix groans, "Please, stop calling her that. It's weird hearing you call her my mom like that." He says, his voice annoyed and embarrassed.
Melina laughs and clearly enjoys his reaction, "Come on Felix, I think it's cute. Besides, you know you like it." She says, her voice teasing and knowing.
Felix rolls his eyes with a wry smile, "I guess I can't complain too much, though I should get going too. I guess have fun while I'm at the academy." He says while he’s still not used to the situation. He stands up, and puts his plate in the sink. He then hugs his mom, and says, "Bye, mom. See you later." He says, his voice affectionate and reluctant.
She hugs him back, and kisses his cheek. "Bye, sweetie. Have a good day, sweetie, don't work too hard." She says, her voice loving and warm.
He nods, and walks to the door. He says goodbye to Grog, who waves at him. He then leaves the house, feeling a mix of relief and disappointment. He's glad to escape the awkwardness, but also curious about what he's missing. Though he turns his mental attention to looking forward to seeing Nya in class.
Felix arrives and sits in front like usual. When she starts the class with a wave to him and a smile he waves back, though then she continues the class with a serious and professional tone. Sounding more confident that in the days before, "Good morning, everyone. Today, we're going to talk about a topic that is very important for any mage who wants to survive and succeed in their adventures. That topic is defense. How do you protect yourself from hostile spells, creatures, and environments? How do you avoid or mitigate damage, and turn the tide of battle in your favor?" She asks, her voice clear and engaging.
Felix listens attentively, his eyes on her. He's seen her use some defensive spells before, like her wind barrier and her stone shield. He wonders what else she can teach him, and if he can apply it to his upcoming duel. He feels a bit nervous about it, and hopes he can learn something useful.
