"Then what? Did you think of me and decide to offer me up?"

Looking at Mr. Li, who was visibly shaken, I asked calmly.

"Mr. Feng, I'm sorry. I was desperate, treating a dead horse as if it were alive. I had no other choice!"Full novel: Feng Shui Secrets of the Entertainment World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Mr. Li immediately apologized, "Given the situation at the time, even if my dear nephew didn't come looking for me, Hua Third Master could crush me like a bug!"

"My death doesn't matter, but what about Li Li?"

"Seeing Li Li, I suddenly thought of you and told Hua Third Master that I knew someone who could cure his son's illness!"

"I told him you were a guest of Mr. Yang and that Ma Shuai also sought you for health treatments!"

"Wait a minute, I don't recall telling you about Ma Shuai?"

Hearing this, I interrupted him immediately.

"You never did!" Mr. Li's expression froze.

"So, you've been investigating me?" I stared into Mr. Li's eyes and asked slowly.

"Mr. Feng, one must always be cautious. I was worried you might be in contact with my dear nephew!" Mr. Li said slowly.

"Impressive!"

I took out a cigarette, bit it twice, and gave Mr. Li a thumbs-up.

The bosses I've dealt with recently are all far from simple; each one is incredibly cautious.

From Mr. Yang to Mr. Li, then to Mr. Ou and Ma Shuai, each of them has a mind as sharp as a needle.

"Mr. Feng, you can blame me or hate me, but I only ask one thing: if anything happens to Li Li in the future, please help her!" Mr. Li said with a straightforward expression.

After speaking, he took out a card and handed it over, saying, "There's three million in here, consider it an advance payment for your services!"

"What do you mean?" I asked coldly.

"Mr. Feng, I know my situation best. I'm caught between my hungry nephew and Hua Third Master, the fierce tiger. There's no escape for me!"

Mr. Li smiled bitterly.

"If you know Mr. Hua is a tiger, why did you go to him?" I asked, puzzled.

"I had no other choice!"

Mr. Li closed his eyes and exhaled, saying, "If there was any other way, I wouldn't have gone to Hua Third Master!"

"I wanted to find a support for Li Li, but I ended up sending her into the tiger's mouth!"

"Tiger's mouth?"

I looked at Mr. Li suspiciously and asked, "Wait, what do you mean?"

"Just as it sounds!" Mr. Li said.

"You mean Mr. Hua is interested in Li Li?" I asked.

"Not in Li Li, but in her destiny!" Mr. Li smiled bitterly.

"After the fake birth date was exposed, I had no choice but to reveal Li Li's real birth date. I didn't think much of it; I had someone calculate it, and Li Li's birth date was far from what Hua Third Master required. Even if I mentioned it, it shouldn't have mattered!"

Mr. Li fell into a memory, "But I didn't expect that after Hua Third Master's feng shui master calculated for a while, he suddenly said two words!"

"What two words?" I asked eagerly.

"Human Pixiu!"

Mr. Li slowly uttered the two words, saying, "When the feng shui master said these two words, his eyes lit up!"

"When Hua Third Master heard this, he asked the feng shui master what Human Pixiu meant. The feng shui master glanced at Li Li and whispered something in Hua Third Master's ear!"

"I didn't hear what he said, but after he finished, Hua Third Master's gaze at Li Li changed!"

"From that moment, I knew Li Li's fate was no longer in her own hands!"

Mr. Li closed his eyes again.

"Human Pixiu!"

I muttered, remembering those two words.

A moment later, Mr. Li opened his eyes and said, "After leaving Mr. Li's house and settling Li Li, I asked the master who forged Li Li's fake birth date what the Human Pixiu destiny meant!"

"He checked and told me that people with this destiny are a contradiction of wealth attraction and isolation, harmful to relatives!"

"But once recognized by someone with a Pixiu destiny, they can attract wealth and ward off disasters for their master!"

"In other words, all the benefits go to the keeper, the master, while the backlash affects the blood relatives, right?" I summarized simply after hearing this.

"Yes!"

Mr. Li nodded and said, "The master I consulted told me that this destiny is all benefits and no harm to the master!"

"When he said that, I thought of the way Hua Third Master looked at Li Li. I can be sure he won't let her go!"

Hearing this, I recalled that when Mr. Li left with Li Li, Mr. Hua did indeed glance at her. I didn't think much of it at the time, but now it seems that look was indeed strange.

"By the way, how did you explain taking Li Li to Mr. Hua? You didn't tell her it was to ward off misfortune, did you?" I asked.

"No!"

Mr. Li shook his head and said, "I told Li Li we were going to meet a distant relative!"

As he was about to continue, his phone rang.

He glanced at it, felt a stir in his heart, gestured for silence, and answered.

"Third Master!"

After just a few words, Mr. Li's expression turned serious.

"I get it!"

"I know!"

"Alright, I'm on my way!"

A moment later, Mr. Li hung up the phone.

"Mr. Hua?" I asked.

"Yes!"

Mr. Li nodded and said, "Hua Third Master wants to meet me, I have to go!"

I didn't say anything. His guess was right; Mr. Hua was indeed interested in Li Li's destiny.

"Mr. Feng, I'm leaving!"

Mr. Li exhaled, pressed the cigarette butt hard into the ashtray, and turned to leave.

"The card?"

As he reached the door, I picked up the card and called out.

Mr. Li paused, didn't turn back, and said, "Mr. Feng, this money is an advance payment for Li Li's treatment. Don't worry, it's clean!"

With that, he pushed the door open and left.

"Sigh!"

Looking at the card in my hand, I sighed. This isn't just money; it's a lifeline Mr. Li left for Li Li.

I'm a bit curious, does he trust me that much?

Or is it that three million is a small amount to him, and even if I take it, it won't affect him much, but if he bets right, Li Li will have another path.

The next morning, I was picked up by a car sent by Mr. Hua to the villa again.

Once at the villa, I didn't say much, just focused on the acupuncture.

Unlike yesterday, this time, there was a middle-aged man in a light-colored Tang suit by Mr. Hua's side.

From the moment I started the acupuncture, this man kept watching me.

After I finished, he whispered a few words in Mr. Hua's ear. I didn't know what he said, but after he finished, Mr. Hua's attitude towards me improved a bit.

In the following days, as my acupuncture treatments continued, Mr. Hua's son's condition gradually improved, and Mr. Hua's attitude towards me became increasingly favorable.

Not only Mr. Hua, but his concubine, Jinyu, also treated me better and better.

By the eighth day of acupuncture, Mr. Hua's son was fully recovered.

I told Mr. Hua that acupuncture was no longer needed, and he could just take some nourishing medicine afterward.

My intention was that the treatment was over, he should settle the payment, and I wouldn't need to come back the next day.

But to my surprise, Mr. Hua stared at me for a while and said, "Mr. Feng, let's have a chat!"
