The cold drizzle over Borussia-Park grew heavier, turning the pitch into a treacherous sheet of dark green glass.

Minute seventy-four.

In the midfield, Michael Ballack absorbed a hard shoulder charge from Gladbach’s Eugen Polanski, pivoting on his left foot before laying a crisp, diagonal pass into the stride of Bastian Schweinsteiger.Full novel: Football GOAT: The Sovereign King of Bayern — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Schweinsteiger did not hesitate.

Remembering Leonhard’s icy whisper from the center circle, the young German international curled a low, dipping pass around Jeff Strasser’s blind side into the open left channel.

Strasser attempted to pivot on his right heel, exactly as Leonhard had predicted.

But on the slick turf, the Luxembourgian veteran’s bulky frame took half a second too long to rotate.

In high-level football, half a second is an eternity.

Like a scarlet phantom, Leonhard exploded past Strasser’s shoulder.

His first touch with the outside of his right boot was feather-light, killing the spin on the wet ball while keeping his forward momentum perfectly intact.

“STOP HIM!” Gladbach manager Horst Köppel screamed from the dugout.

Belgian center-back Filip Daems lunged in with a reckless sliding challenge, desperate to take man and ball together.

But Leonhard anticipated the slide two strides before it arrived.

With a subtle dip of his left shoulder and a razor-sharp inside hook, he stepped over Daems’s outstretched leg, leaving the defender skidding five yards across the wet grass.

The entire eighteen-yard box opened up before him.

American international goalkeeper Kasey Keller charged off his line, spreading his body to close down the angle.

But Leonhard didn’t take another touch.

From sixteen meters out, on the half-turn, he drew his right leg back and unleashed a ferocious strike.

He struck the half-volley with pure, clean contact.

The ball cut through the pouring rain like a laser—a ferocious rising drive that whistled past Keller’s outstretched fingertips and smashed into the top left corner of the net.

Goal.

1–1!

A sudden, suffocating silence gripped fifty-four thousand supporters in Borussia-Park.

The mocking whistles that had echoed across the stadium five minutes earlier vanished as if wiped clean by a hand.

In the German commentary booth, Marcel Reif erupted into his microphone: “UNBELIEVABLE!

SENSATIONAL!

Fifteen years and one hundred and ninety-seven days old!

Leonhard Weiss has just shattered the record for the youngest goalscorer in the forty-three-year history of the Bundesliga!

What a venomous strike!

What breathtaking composure!”

In the corner of the away end, four thousand travelling Bavarian supporters exploded into bedlam, red scarves swirling through the winter air.

Leonhard did not celebrate wildly.

He merely retrieved the ball from the back of the net, tucked it under his arm, and pointed a commanding finger toward Schweinsteiger and Ballack as he sprinted back to the center circle.

“We’re not here for a draw!” Leonhard’s voice cut through the stadium.

“We take all three points!”

Ballack’s eyes lit up with ferocious hunger.

The Bayern captain slapped Leonhard’s back with a wide grin.

“You heard the kid!

Press them!”

Gladbach’s confidence was completely shattered.

The psychological balance of the match had tilted violently toward Munich.

Minute eighty-eight.

Bayern laid siege to the Borussia penalty area.

Zé Roberto danced past his marker on the left wing and zipped a low cross into the box.

Ballack rose above the defenders, directing a powerful header toward the bottom right corner.

Kasey Keller reacted with a world-class reflex save, parrying the ball downward into the six-yard box.

For a split second, both Gladbach center-backs froze, waiting for the whistle.

Inside Leonhard’s vision, a glowing crimson pulse flashed across the goalmouth:

Rebound Trajectory: 4.2 Meters | Anticipation Offset: 0.35 Seconds Ahead of Defense

Before Strasser or Daems could even twitch a muscle, Leonhard was already moving.

He anticipated the rebound with the eerie, supernatural spatial instinct of Gerd Müller.

Throwing his body forward into the mud, Leonhard stabbed his left foot out, connecting cleanly with the bouncing ball just inches ahead of Keller’s desperate dive.

The ball crossed the goal line, hitting the side netting with absolute precision.

Goal.

1–2!

The referee blew his whistle twice, signaling the goal.

From sixty yards away, Oliver Kahn charged the entire length of the pitch like a madman, his muddy black kit dripping with rain.

The Titan reached the corner flag, scooped the fifteen-year-old Leonhard off his feet, and hoisted him high into the air in front of the ecstatic Bayern travelling end.

“DID YOU SEE THAT?!” Kahn roared at the top of his lungs, his face glowing with pure ecstasy.

“THAT’S OUR NINE!

THAT’S THE SOVEREIGN OF MUNICH!”

Schweinsteiger, Ballack, Lúcio, and Philipp Lahm swarmed over them, burying Leonhard under a pile of jubilant red shirts.

Two minutes of stoppage time ticked away, and the referee finally blew three long blasts on his whistle to signal full time.

Across the pitch, Jeff Strasser sat on the wet grass, staring at the ground in utter disbelief.

Fifty thousand Gladbach fans were silently filing toward the exits, their heads bowed in shock.

In the television studio, Marcel Reif took off his glasses, his voice filled with genuine awe: “Ladies and gentlemen, remember where you were on Saturday, January 21, 2006.

We have not merely witnessed a debut today.

We have witnessed the birth of a monarch.

The Crown Prince has arrived.”
