Suddenly a knife went flying from the dark area towards Opel.
Luckily Opel has got good reflexes so he dodged the knife.
He pushed the girl away towards the side where the car was parked.
But then…
SHOOO!
Another pointed knife flew and this time, although Opel tried to dodged this time too, but it somehow brushed his face.
Opel instantly grabbed his gun and shot three times and every time he shot in the blind spot, the screams of three different men were heard.
Immediately a bunch of people charged towards him yelling at the top of their voices with knives and swords.
Opel smirked and took out his gun.
Few boys came running towards Opel and soon a fight could be seen between them.
Opel single-handedly tackled with them without dropping a single sweat while the boys were panting as they were lying on the ground, wounded and tired.
Suddenly from the other side someone yelled, “Seize!
He’s Opel, Mr.
Tsunami’s lackey.” And instantly all of them stopped wherever they were.
Amidst them, a man with a turban came towards Opel and lowered his head.
“Mr.
Opel!
Sorry my boys couldn’t recognize you.
I’m sorry on their behalf.
I hope you won’t take it to your heart.” The man seemed troubled.
“It’s fine!” Opel put back his gun inside his holster.
“But why are you all chasing this girl?”
“Sir!
She took a video of us while we were on a slip and now she’s threatening us that she’d go to the police to show them.” The man answered.
“Really!”
Three men rushed towards the girl and bought her back to their gang’s side.
Dragging her, they made her sit on the ground raising her hands.

She was yelling and resisting like anything.
Her eyes sticked to only one person, Opel.
“Sir!
You can go on your way.
We’ll handle her.” The man bowed to Opel.
Suddenly the car’s door opened.
First Scorn got down of the car and then Zakai.
“Leave her!” Scorn yelled.
He found the face familiar.
It was the same girl who gave the handkerchief to Scorn near the pub.
Seeing Scorn, the men bowed their heads.
Their leader came forward and spoke, “Mr.
Tsunami!
I’m highly obliged to see you with my own eyes.”
“Ok now leave the girl and go.” Opel ordered as per ordered by Scorn.
“But sir she has a video of us and she threatened us that she’d submit it to the police.” The man argued, still lowering his head.
“Don’t worry!
The video will be deleted.
Just leave the girl and go.” Opel ordered again.
“But sir…she slapped me.
This is an insult to me.
If I don’t kill her, my whole group as well as my rival gangs will mock me for life.” The man stated facts.
“Fine!” Scorn came forward.
“If that’s the issue, you can slap her back and get your revenge.”
Opel went to the girl and grabbed her phone from her hand.
“NO!

This is not right.
They are doing something illegal and must report to the police.
Sir don’t delete it.

“Done!
Now take it.”Opel returned her phone back.
Then the man who got slapped by her came forward.
He massaged his palm with both his hands with contentment on his face.
Then he gritted his teeth and raised his hand.

“The girl yelled and closed her eyes while two men grabbed her arms.
Before the palm could land on her face, Scorn grabbed the man’s hand.
“I guess you’re from Plyan’s umbrella, right?
But pal, here’s the thing.
In my area, we never raise hands to the civilians, especially to children and women.
And I can’t see anyone doing that.
So…let’s do one thing.
She’ll apologize you infront of everyone.
Will that be ok?”
The man nodded.
Scorn turned around and slowly moved towards the car and sat inside.
Seeing him, Zakai too rushed towards the car and sat in the front seat along with the driver; he didn’t forget that his task, given by Opel, was to keep Scorn safe.
On the other hand, Opel stood there and kept on discussing something with the group leader of the gang while the girl kept sobbing sitting on the ground.
Opel ordered the driver to run the car.
As per the order, the driver started the engine and zoomed past the car through the gang members of the group standing on the road.
[IN THE CAR]
“Zakai!
Do you live in this area?” Scorn asked looking out of the window.
“No Boss!
I must drop you safe at your home.
Opel boss wouldn’t spare me if something happens to you tonight.” Zakai answered.
“Then you would get to your place at mid-night.
Will that be fine?
Plus none of your boys are with you today.
Are they coming to pick you up?” Concerned Scorn asked.
“No Boss!
I guess they’re resting right now.
I’ll manage my transport.”
“I’ve a better option.
Why don’t you stay at my safe house?” Scorn proposed an idea.
“It’s fine boss.
I’ll grab a taxi.
You don’t have to worry about me.”
“Why won’t I worry?
He’d be angry with me if…umm…I mean…God.
God would be angry.
I’ve responsibility towards my boys.
You’re new here so many of my people won’t recognize you yet.
I order you to stay at my safe house today.”
Zakai thought for a few seconds and then nodded his head once.
“Ok Boss!”

[LATER IN THE SAME EVENING]
Asking one of the members for a first-aid box, Zakai went and sat next to Opel on the same couch.
When the man handed him the first-aid box, Zakai first cleaned the wound carefully giving feathery touches so that Opel doesn’t wake up.
Quietly, Zakai applied an ointment on Opel’s wounds.
After that, he sat down comfortably at the same couch with Opel.
He took out his cell phone and started to scroll it.
Within no time, his eyes shuttered down and he dozed off at Opel’s shoulder.
Taking a deep breath, Opel curled up his lips with his closed eyes.
