Chapter 25: Sun Glow Sect’s History

Fu Immortal Clan

"Three Hundred Years ago, the Sun Glow Sect only had one ancestor, one Supreme Elder.

Cultivators of the fourth stage, the Spiritual Core stage, have reached a level of constantcy in the world. Their lifespan has surpassed 1.000 years, and their actions affect he world.

The supreme elder observed the Eight Mountains for thirty years, and he called the sect. That day, they determined one thing: for the sect to grow, they had to attack the beasts and take over their territory.

A Supreme Elder, Nine Grand Elders, One Hundred Elders and thousands of disciples, all Weather Masters, gathered together that day at the highest peak of the Sun Glow Sect, the Crimson Glow Peak.

The supreme elder led them to an altar; it was the Altar of Rain, an altar of ancient times used to worship and summon rain. The supreme elder observed the weather and knelt to heaven three times, then he kowtowed nine times.

Nine Grand Elders behind him fell forward, presenting their offerings and kneeling nine times, kowtowing twenty seven times.

One Hundred Elders knelt on the ground for twelve hours and exhaled all their cultivation without leaving anything.

That day, several elders died.

But—the Ritual continued.

Heaven and Earth were moved by the Sun Glow Sect’s worship and they accepted their wishes—all sacrifices were taken, steel and crimson glow rose to the sky, and a huge cloud was formed.

The cloud rose and flew far away, away from the sect, away from the human territory, and stood above the Eight Mountains.

Heaven and Earth willed: it shall Rain!

But the Supreme Elder followed right after.

Weather Masters use the power of Heaven and Earth to accomplish great things.

His Spiritual Core flew out of his body, and the Creation Treasure, a Weather Compass, emerged from it. It rose to become gigantic, and the weather was directed.

No more was the cloud hovering above all mountains—no, the cloud hovered over the northernmost mountain.

Just then, the Nine Grand Elders also emerged. Cultivators of the third stage, the Origin Light stage, have formed an Origin Light that can illuminate their middle dantian and manifest the dao in the outside world.

Nine Grand Elders summoned their Origin Light, the Origin Light of Weather, and they all directed it:

The Dao manifested, rain started. Iron pellets the size of rain drops fell onto the earth with the shadow of a crimson glow, piercing the earth and all obstructions with the wrath of ten thousand attacks!

Origin Light manifested once more, and each pellet transformed into a dagger—daggers no longer fell into the earth, but they all hit and killed the beasts that resided on this mountain!

The leading beast, a fourth-stage beast, was enraged and stormed out. Its massive body formed a shield, protecting his vassals below.

But the sect wasn’t done.

When all the rain fell, and the beasts were preparing a counter attack, something else happened:

A Grey Sun rose above the clouds, and its glow targeted the earth.

Steel daggers inserted in the earth emerged and rose to the sky—

Below heaven and above earth, a giant dagger emerged.

It was made of black steel, extremely sharp and carrying the wrath of ten thousand beasts’ deaths.

A cling sound sounded throughout heaven and earth—

The dagger fell, and in a second, it pierced the beast’s protecting back.

There was no applause, no deafening explosion, only a simple dagger piercing a beast’s back.

It died. All its beasts died. The Mountain was empty.

From the clouds, below the grey sun, there emerged the sect’s new supreme elder: the Grey Sun Supreme Elder."

Fu Mufu sat in front of Muyu, explaining the story that circulated through the nearby cultivation world for hundreds of years.

That scene was shocked. More than shocking, it was the time when a small Sun Glow Sect shocked all nearby forces, and proved to them one thing: Weather Masters didn’t just change the better, they commanded heaven and earth!

Seeing his mouth dry, Muyu quickly picked up the tea kettle and poured him a cup of tea. He even ignored their seniority, only hoping Mufu could tell him more.

Mufu, having been in the same situation, drank his cup and continued explaining, "That giant dagger killed the beast and no other beast remained on the mountain. Behind, seven beasts emerged from their mountains—

They were enraged and ready to attack. Their brother had died, and if left alone, the humans would no longer fear them.

Though, just as they were about to attack, some thing else happened:

The Sun Glow Sect’s two Supreme Elders summoned their core and it rose to the sky. Two suns emerged: the Crimson Sun and Grey Sun.

They protected the peak while all the elders below were ready to fight.

But... no fight broke out.

All nearby sects used this situation instantly.

While humans don’t unite normally, that day, all sects knew the Sun Glow Sect had become a giant power, and everyone did them a favour.

They poured their power and fought the beasts; not just fight, they killed countless beasts.

In the history of our region, we call this the ’Human Tide’, the first tide against beasts, conquering them left and right.

None of the seven beasts died, but countless outer territories were conquered, many of their vassals died, and the beasts were severely injured.

Humans retreated with great wins, and the Sun Glow Sect became a giant sect. New disciples emerged and countless alliances were formed. From then on, the Sun Glow Sect was the second strongest force nearby, almost equal to the strongest force.

One hundred years passed until the beasts recovered, but by then, the sect had done something shocking: the steel dagger wasn’t taken back, instead, they had hollowed it out and transformed it into a pagoda!

Thousands of disciples and elders worked together and reshaped the whole mountain, implanting formations and performing rituals.

From then on, the Seven Mountains Market emerged, directly changing the name of the previous eight mountains territory.

The pagoda was split into three floors:

The first floor was a giant city of all cultivators and rogue cultivators. The second floor was the territory of vassal forces, where all vassal forces could build branches, allowing for deeper integration with the sect. And the third floor... not only did the sect directly live there, but from then on, it had become the abode of the Grey Sun Supreme Elder!"
