Two hundred twenty Volantene galleys filled the bay. Scorpions on every deck, elephants in holds.

Daenerys and Aegon stood together now, on the Great Pyramid.

Barristan: "They come to kill dragons!"

Aegon raised his red katana. Daenerys raised her hand.

*"DRACARYS!"*

Six dragons breathed at once.

Drogon, Rhaegal, Viserion, and Aegon's three — six rivers of fire, red and green and gold and black that ate light. The first line of galleys vanished. Ash on boiling sea.

The second line fired scorpions. Sky black with bolts.

Aegon's dragon roared and dove. Aegon stood on its back, then jumped.

*"Wind Breathing — First Form: Dust Whirlwind Cutter!"*

He landed on the flagship. Deck cracked. Twenty tiger cloaks turned.

Red katana sang. Two heads. Three archers cut through scorpion. A spear thrust — cut in half, man cut with it.

*"Fourth Form: Rising Dust Storm!"* — twenty men thrown to sea, mast snapped.

His dragon landed on the next galley — BOOM — four legs breaking hull in half, black fire down into hold.

Aegon jumped ship to ship, wind under feet. *Second Form. Sixth Form.* Air claws, black gale. Decks cleared, hulls burst. He cut a scorpion bolt mid-air.

Daenerys above screamed, "DRACARYS! DRACARYS!" Drogon burned and burned, Rhaegal and Viserion burning even wounded.

Volantis tried to turn. Too late.

Aegon climbed back onto his dragon, standing.

"All of them," he said to Daenerys, voice cold. "Not ninety. All."

Daenerys nodded. "Dracarys."

Six dragons circled the bay like vultures. One by one. Galley after galley. No ship left to tell the tale. Fire on water. Men jumping into boiled sea, burning anyway. Elephants screaming, then silent. Two hundred twenty sails — all ash by noon. Bay black.

Smoke covered Meereen. Freedmen cheered till throats bled.

But Aegon did not land.

He pointed west, where the last smoke rose — toward Volantis.

"Dany," he said. "They sent two hundred to chain us again. If we let their city stand, they send four hundred next month."

Daenerys's eyes were fire. "Then we burn it now."

Barristan paled. "Your Graces! Volantis is the eldest daughter of Valyria! A hundred thousand! Walls black!"

"Good," Aegon said.

He whistled. His other two pure ones came.

Daenerys mounted Drogon — not standing like Aegon, but sitting — Rhaegal and Viserion followed her.

Six dragons left Meereen. Six shadows crossed the sea.

Volantis saw them coming. Bells rang. Triarchs screamed to close Black Walls. Scorpions rose on walls — hundreds.

Too late.

*"DRACARYS!"*

Six dragons breathed on Volantis at once. The Long Bridge went first — shops, temples, slaves and masters together — ash. The Black Walls, that had stood a thousand years, cracked from heat. Scorpions melted before firing.

Aegon jumped off mid-flight onto the wall itself.

*Wind Breathing — Seventh Form: Gale of the Void.*

He swung, and the wind cut a gatehouse clean off. Stones flew.

His dragon landed behind him on the wall, four legs crushing it, and breathed black fire straight down into the slave pens — not to kill slaves, but to burn chains, burn collars, burn the auction blocks.

Daenerys burned the fleet yards. All ships in harbor — gone.

By sunset, Volantis harbor was ash, fleet yards ash, Black Walls broken, and a hundred thousand slaves stood in streets staring at six dragons circling, not screaming anymore.

Aegon stood on the broken wall, red katana dripping, shouting so all heard:

"VOLANTIS IS FREE! SLAVER'S BAY IS FREE! ANY MASTER WHO WANTS CHAINS — COME TAKE THEM!"

And behind him, Daenerys on Drogon roared.

No more ships would come from Volantis.
