Swish—

Aegon swung himself onto his horse, his black cloak swirling with his movement, making him look exceptionally dashing.

His silver-gold hair seemed bathed in a golden glow under the morning sun, and the scene before her made Shamira almost drool.

When did her master become so imposing?

Shamira clutched her chest, her heart pounding wildly as she nearly lost her footing.

“How is it? Do I look like a general?!”

“Mm! You do!”

Shamira nodded shyly, and the servants working in Illyrio’s estate couldn’t help casting glances over, only beginning to whisper among themselves after Aegon rode away.

“The young master is truly imposing.”

“Indeed, but how come I’ve never seen that horse before? When did the young master buy it?”

Shamira didn’t care about the black steed; watching Aegon leave, her initial infatuation turned into worry.

Aegon was young, handsome, and had a very good temper.

She hoped to stay by Aegon’s side forever, praying for his safe return, otherwise Illyrio would surely give her away to someone else.

Aegon didn’t dwell on Shamira’s petty thoughts, instead urging his horse toward the city gates.

Along the way, many people cast gazes at him, especially when passing by brothels, which drew a chorus of gasps.

‘As expected of high-end goods from the system, truly wonderful!’

Aegon touched his patterned silver vambraces, then rested his hand on the fine steel longsword that was also part of the’skin’, thinking with great satisfaction.

Last night, he had first taken out the armor and cloak in his room, and then ran to the stable the next morning to pull out the black warhorse beneath him.

After all, pulling out a horse right in front of others was simply too horrifying.

Besides, this horse was truly extraordinary; after Aegon mounted it, he had a feeling of spiritual resonance with it.

Of course, such an outfit would easily make him a target for focused fire on the battlefield, but level-two swordsmanship combined with a relatively good physique could handle the vast majority of situations.

Moreover, what he was facing was merely a poorly equipped band of outlaws, and with such a suit of armor, there shouldn’t be any danger.

If there was any regret, it was that this longsword wasn’t the Valyria steel sword everyone dreamed of.

‘Come to think of it, is Targaryen’s ancestral sword Blackfyre in the hands of the Golden Company or Illyrio?’

Aegon thought to himself, quickly arriving at the military camp.

At this moment, the cavalry under Aegon’s command had already assembled, while the bodyguards brought by Illyrio, Connington, and others stood to one side. Enjoying the story? Read on at novelping . com.

When Aegon appeared among the army, everyone’s gazes converged on him.

The soldiers looked over in unison; although they could see Aegon almost every day, this outfit and appearance were still deeply stunning.

Especially Mago, whose eyeballs almost popped out of their sockets when he saw the warhorse beneath Aegon.

Even when he was still in the Great Grass Sea of Dothrak, such magnificent warhorses were rarely seen.

Connington naturally recognized Aegon at a glance; regardless of whether he had any real substance, just parading this look outside could scare quite a few people.

He could hardly connect him with the prodigal image he saw that day.

Instead, he felt that Aegon’s face bore some resemblance to the person hidden deep within his heart.

Not far from him, Haldon the ‘Pseudo-Maester’ couldn’t help casting a few extra glances.

The silver hair and purple eyes made him the spitting image of a Targaryen.

Septa Lemore, upon taking a single look, hurriedly averted her gaze.

Young Griff nearby looked at Aegon with great envy.

Last night, Connington had taken him to see two sets of armor.

One was the ordinary gray iron plate armor on him now; the quality was unquestionable, just a bit too ‘plain’.

The other set was much more ornate and beautiful, featuring not only dragon-shaped patterns but even rubies as embellishments.

But he knew that suit was to be worn when restoring the kingdom and seeking revenge, definitely not now.

Reasonably speaking, Illyrio was good-looking when he was young, and Young Griff’s mother Serra was a Blackfyre descendant, considered a Valyrian, making Young Griff quite handsome as well.

But in terms of outfit, Aegon now firmly outshone everyone, coupled with his charm attribute about to reach C-rank, making him the absolute focus right now.

When Illyrio saw Aegon, he was also stunned for a moment, never expecting this prodigal to have such’style’.

‘Could it be because he is Rhaegar’s son?’

‘No!

It’s just that the armor looks good.’

Aegon glanced around at everyone; it was impossible to say he wasn’t happy inside.

He looked at the people around Illyrio: Connington used the alias Griff and was a fake Tyroshi; the Pseudo-Maester wasn’t a real maester because he failed his examinations at The Citadel; as for Septa Lemore, she seemed to have even given birth to a child.

Young Griff went without saying—a fake prince.

This combination was, to say the least, quite interesting. This chapter is updated first at novelpin‌g.com.

He calmly walked among the crowd and found an unfamiliar person dressed like a general talking with Illyrio.

Through the other person’s attire, Aegon recognized him—Galeri, the commander-in-chief of the Pentos army.

Why did this fellow come in person?

He was merely going to suppress a band of outlaws; did it require such a grand formation?

Seeing Aegon approach, Galeri stepped forward and said, “You are Cyrus?”

“Yes, my lord.” Aegon dismounted and replied.

“Not bad.” He looked smilingly at Aegon’s attire, figure, and appearance, then glanced at his warhorse, and said, “At first glance, you look like someone who can win battles. Lord Illyrio, I will congratulate your son in advance on achieving victory.”

“I only ask that he returns safely,” Illyrio said modestly.

At this moment, Galeri handed Aegon a letter and spoke:

“When you reach the Thoxor Family estate, hand this to them, and they will arrange sufficient provisions for your army.”

“Thank you, my lord,” Aegon said with a slight bow and a smile.

If this bandit suppression was successful, the greatest beneficiary would naturally be the Thoxor Family, who had been deeply harassed by outlaws, so they ought to provide some supplies to reward the army.

“If this bandit suppression is successful, there is an even greater task to be given to you.”

“Glad to be of service to you, my lord.”

After brief pleasantries, Aegon understood that his meaning was to have him persuade Illyrio to take a side early on, naturally standing on the side of the Thoxor Family.

The conversation ended, and just as Aegon was about to give the order to prepare for departure, a blue light screen unfolded before his eyes:

[Challenge Quest – Exterminate Outlaws]

[No matter what method is used, prevent Ghoyan Drohe’s outlaws from harassing the estates of Pentos.]

[Quest Reward 1: C-rank Charm Fragment * 1, B-rank Physique Fragment * 3]

[Quest Reward 2: Dominance + 5]

[Quest Reward 3: Level 3 Skill Card * 2]

Looking at the generous rewards given by the system, Aegon couldn’t help but be tempted.

Just at this moment, a gust of wind blew by, lifting the black cloak.

Aegon tightened the reins, the warhorse reared its front hooves, and his entire person stood out like a banner.

Aegon drew his longsword and shouted to the assembled soldiers: “Move out!!!”
