“Mora Mouse?”

Paimon’s eyes lit up as she asked in astonishment.

No matter how she thought about it, it sounded like Jiang Chen didn’t have to do anything all day—just sleep on piles of Mora while the Mora kept multiplying on its own.Full novel: Genshin Impact : The Hidden Master — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Wasn’t that her ultimate dream?

“It’s a kind of mouse that spits out Mora,” Jiang Chen said.

“Wow!”

Paimon immediately rushed over and hugged his leg.

“Master Jiang Chen, please take us in!”

Lumine’s fair cheeks flushed slightly, but she wasn’t flustered—after all, no one would take that seriously.

Jiang Chen kicked his leg, but couldn’t shake her off.

“I said that was in the past.

Now I make my living from the Good Hunter,” he said.

“What about the Mora Mouse that spits out tons and tons of Mora?” Paimon asked, her eyes pleading.

Amber sighed, grabbed her, and answered for Jiang Chen: “He released all of them, of course.”

“Released!?”

Paimon couldn’t understand.

That was a tool that could spit out money, letting her do nothing all day while Mora piled up!

“Of course!”

“Guess how many bandit gangs Jiang Chen had driven off back then?”

“If he hadn’t released them, not just the bandits in Mondstadt and Liyue, but even those from other nations across Teyvat would have come after him.”

Amber continued, “But thanks to the bandits targeting Jiang Chen, Mondstadt and Liyue were surprisingly safe back then!”

“Ah, it was that dangerous?”

Paimon exclaimed.

“You might run into Mora Mice out in the wild someday.

Then you’ll see for yourselves,” Jiang Chen said calmly, then turned to Lumine.

“Come, I’ll give you a set of equipment.”

“This…”

Lumine hesitated.

“Lumine, go!” Paimon urged.

“Opportunities like this don’t come around for just anyone.”

“Yeah, Jiang Chen really takes special care of Lumine!”

Amber said, a hint of envy in her voice.

Jiang Chen, who had fought countless battles against bandits, had always been one of Amber’s idols.

“If you want one, Amber, I’ll give you a set too,” Jiang Chen said.

He needed to level up, and Amber was someone worth training.

Shooting explosive barrels and breaking mechanisms as a tool?

Not happening.

This wasn’t a game where the party size was limited.

Training one more person meant one more combatant.

“Great, thank you, Jiang Chen!”

Amber said happily.

She grabbed Paimon mid-air and joyfully pinched her cheeks.

“Why do I have to suffer again!”

Paimon struggled free and flew off, puffing angrily.

“Lumine.”

Jiang Chen called from the attic door.

“Mm, coming.”

Lumine followed him with light steps, looking around the spacious attic with a hint of envy.

Though called an attic, it was actually the third floor of the Good Hunter, but only half the size of the second floor.

The floor and walls were made of custom high-quality wood, with ventilating windows and a bright skylight.

Just stepping inside felt incredibly comfortable.

Lumine couldn’t help but want to stretch.

This floor had four rooms.

The larger room was on the side of the narrow hallway, belonging to the owner of the Good Hunter—Jiang Chen.

Lumine didn’t follow him in immediately.

Instead, she took a couple of steps forward and peeked around the corner of the hallway, spotting two more doors and a room at the end covered by a curtain, likely the bathroom.

One door had a purple mark carved into it that caught her attention.

“Wow!

Is this it?

Is this it?”

Paimon, who had followed them in, had already pounced on a chest, hugging it with both arms.

Lumine had to set aside her curiosity about the purple mark and stepped inside.

“Yeah,” Jiang Chen said, sitting down on a nearby sofa.

“It’s equipment I no longer use.

I kept it stored.”

“I’m opening it.”

“Wait—”

Before Jiang Chen could warn her, Paimon had already flung the chest open.

A surge of elemental energy burst forth from the long-sealed chest.

The little mascot’s figure was sent flying straight to the ceiling, hitting it with a *thud* before crashing to the floor.

“Ow, ow, ow!”

“Are you okay?”

Lumine picked her up, exasperated.

But Paimon didn’t care at all.

She lunged back toward the chest, acting like a total little money-grubber.

She lifted a longsword.

It had a slender black-and-white blade, and the guard featured a pegasus’s milky-white wings curling back toward the hilt, protecting the wielder’s hand.

The entire sword shimmered faintly.

“Wow, this sword flows with Anemo energy!

It’s perfect for Lumine!”

Paimon struggled to swing it a few times before saying.

“Elemental affinity,” Jiang Chen corrected.

It wasn’t an Anemo sword.

It was just that Mondstadt was rich in Anemo energy, and over time, the wind had clung to the blade.

“Isn’t that…”

Amber, standing at the door, widened her eyes.

“The Sword of Favonius?”

“The Sword of Favonius?”

Lumine found the name familiar.

Knights of Favonius…

Sword of Favonius…

“It’s the standard longsword of the Knights of Favonius.

It usually requires approval from both the Grand Master and the Church before it can be issued.

It’s a testament to the diligence and skill of Mondstadt’s defenders.”

Amber said with a hint of jealousy, “Even I don’t have one, and Jiang Chen is just giving it to Lumine?”
