Sandrone’s fingers closed, clasping Columbina’s hand into her palm, and from that patch of skin came only a piercing cold.

“Columbina, wake up, make sure you don’t fall asleep!”

Strange, even after holding for so long, Columbina didn’t have the slightest reaction?Full novel: Genshin Impact: The Puppet Fell in Love with the Moon Goddess — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Right, Arlecchino said that after holding hands, she also needed to feed her something in time…

But he was currently unconscious, how to feed him?

Could it be…

that’s the only way left?

“Tsk, troublesome.” He furrowed his brows, and just as he wanted to get up, the hand holding Columbina was gently gripped back.

“Don’t leave…

Sandrone.”

Columbina’s voice was as light as a murmur, yet it made Sandrone’s movement pause.

She lowered her head to look, just in time to meet Columbina’s face covered by a blindfold.

“You’ve woken up.” Sandrone’s tone unconsciously softened.

She looked at Columbina’s cheeks which had regained color, and her previously tense heart finally fell back into place.

“Since you’re awake,” he looked away, her voice carrying his usual detachment, “stop grabbing my hand.”

“Sandrone, don’t leave me behind again, okay?”

Columbina’s voice was soft to the point of pleading, like trying to retain a dream about to dissipate.

“I just wanted to help you bring the cake over,” Sandrone said in a low voice, a trace of helplessness in his tone.

Inside the laboratory, it became quiet in that instant, with only Columbina’s light and somewhat rapid heartbeat audible.

“So that’s how it was?”

Columbina’s fingers gently loosened, “I thought you hated me again.”

“You’re quite self-aware.” Sandrone handed the cake in front of him, “Eat the cake, immediately.”

“Thank you for the compliment, Sandrone.”

Columbina obediently picked up the spoon and ate the cake in small bites.

The sweet and greasy cream melted in her mouth, and his complexion recovered a bit of ruddy color at a speed visible to the naked eye, while only the slight sound of spoons and dishes colliding remained in the laboratory.

Can this be considered a compliment?

Sandrone speechlessly looked at the girl eating the cake.

After eating more than half of the cake, Columbina put down the spoon, her gaze falling on Sandrone.

“Sandrone…”

“What is it again?”

Sandrone’s movement paused slightly, turning his face away to avoid that pair of eyes which seemed able to pierce straight into one’s heart even through a blindfold.

“Don’t thank me.” She walked toward the experimental bench, turning her back to Columbina as she began to tidy up the scattered instruments.

The metal instruments collided with a crisp sound, appearing exceptionally cold and hard in the silent laboratory.

Yet Columbina gently smiled.

She stood up holding the edge of the experimental bench, her bare feet stepping on the cold ground, walking slowly behind Sandrone.

“You’re angry.” This sentence was not a question.

Sandrone did not turn his head, but her hand movements stopped.

“I’m not.”

“You are.” Columbina’s voice was very close, his warm breath almost pressing against Sandrone’s back neck, “Every time you’re angry, the sound of tidying instruments is always thirty percent heavier than usual.”

The laboratory fell into silence once again.

For a long time, Sandrone finally turned around, complicated emotions surging in her eyes.

“Columbina,” her voice was very light, yet carried a trace of complaint, “why have you been keeping this from me all along?”

“And,” Sandrone paused for a moment, “would you rather tell Arlecchino than tell me?”

“Clearly I came first.”

“I’m sorry, Sandrone.” Columbina lowered his head, his voice so light it was almost inaudible, “It’s not that I didn’t want to tell you.

It’s that every time I see you, those words…

just couldn’t be spoken.”

She took a breath, his voice carrying a trace of trembling.

“Telling you is like admitting it will really happen.

And not telling you…

I can pretend that in front of you, I am always fine.”

Sandrone looked at her, looking at the girl who was always smiling with her shoulders shrinking at this moment.

The stifling depression in his chest that made him want to smash things suddenly dissipated, leaving only a deep sense of helplessness, and a little bit of…

heartache.

“Stop hiding anymore, Columbina.” Sandrone sighed softly, “I want to know the answer.”

Columbina nodded slightly, “Actually, I was planning to tell you today anyway.”

The two moved closer, almost able to hear each other’s breathing.

…

“What, you are actually the Moon God?!”

Sandrone’s mechanical pupils suddenly contracted, looking at the smiling girl in front of her, feeling a sense of unfamiliarity for the first time from this colleague who came to the room to sing every night.

Sandrone carefully examined the girl in front of him who was completely useless except for good looks, and shook his head.

Laugh to death, which family’s Moon God is so stupid and pitiful.

Almost starved to death in the room twice.

[Sandrone still doesn’t believe me after all.

Then I have to wrong you a bit.]

After a few bites of cake, Columbina’s physical strength quickly recovered.

His fingertips moved slightly, and a wisp of gentle Lunar Power lightly wound around Sandrone’s body.

Soon Sandrone felt her body floating, the whole person being lifted like a breeze, slowly flying toward the ceiling.

“Oops.”

Sandrone’s head gently bumped against the ceiling, and she lowered her head to glare at the girl standing below, “Columbina!

You are definitely doing this on purpose!”

Sure enough, compared to the Moon God, this guy was more like an out-and-out fool.

“Sorry, Sandrone, maybe my power hasn’t fully recovered yet, and my control isn’t very proficient.” Columbina tilted her face up, looking apologetic, “I’ll let you down right now.”

“Wait—” Sandrone lowered her eyes to look at her, a trace of unease flashing through her heart, “How do you plan to let me down?”

“It’s very simple, just reverse the direction of the Lunar Power.” Columbina proudly puffed out her chest, “Hmph hmph, I am so smart.”

As soon as the words fell, Sandrone felt a heavy force suddenly pulling her down.

Her whole person accelerated downward.

This Columbina was truly a genuine fool!

Sandrone clenched her teeth.

Why reverse the direction of the Lunar Power?

Wouldn’t that make me fall even faster?!

It clearly only needed to slowly weaken the Lunar Power…

“Sandrone, I caught you.”

Just when Sandrone thought he was going to fall heavily to the ground, Columbina’s figure silently appeared directly below him, opening his arms and steadily catching him.

“Sandrone, you seem…

a bit heavy.” Columbina looked down at the person in her arms, with a smile on the corners of her mouth, “Have you been slack in your training lately?”

“Co-lum-bi-na!” Sandrone’s face instantly flushed red, “Shut up!”

Her voice suddenly turned cold, saying word by word: “Also, how long do you plan to hold me?”

It might not seem tempting right now but who knows what the future holds?

“And If you’re enjoying it, drop a Power Stone for me!”
