Deep within the tavern, a toilet made of pure gold stood prominently in the center.
Surrounding it, hundreds of Fools were vigorously waving glow sticks, as if performing some strange ritual.
“Ah, great Aeon of Elation, please respond to me; I dedicate this moment of elation to you!” Just as Ayin and Sparkle walked into the hall, they saw a man with dyed green hair kneeling on one knee atop the pure gold toilet, bowing devoutly toward the Akasha.
“What is he doing?
Did he get high on meme bananas?
You brought me here just to see this?” Sparkle looked stunned, her tone filled with disdain as she remarked.
“Of course not.
As everyone knows, we Fools are only interested in entertainment, and he is no exception.
That guy is doing that to try and get the attention of that troll Aeon.” Ayin shook his head upon hearing this and then gave Sparkle a brief explanation.
It turned out that, at some point, the younger generation of Masked Fools began to view getting a response from Aha as their greatest honor…
or rather, their greatest entertainment.
So, whenever they thought they had pulled off some incredibly grand prank, they would spontaneously come here, climb onto that pure gold toilet, and recount the prank to the Akasha, hoping to get a response from Aha…
even if it was just an eye-roll.
And when others saw someone climb onto the [Throne], they would instinctively gather around, hoping to catch a glimpse of their own [renowned] Aeon.
“I’d heard that the new Fools like to pull some weird stunts, but I didn’t think it was actually true!” After listening to Ayin’s explanation, Sparkle felt a sense of novelty and then asked with great interest, “So, have they ever succeeded?”
“Naturally, no.
If you count carefully, this is their 665th failed attempt to get a response from Aha…
Oh, wait.
Counting today, it’s 666 times.” Ayin waved his hand and replied in a flat tone.
Just as he finished speaking, a heart-wrenching scream suddenly came from the toilet not far away.
“Ah…
why!
Why are you so heartless, Aha?
How am I supposed to live without you!”
Seeing that his prank didn’t get a response from Aha, the green-haired man looked utterly hopeless.
He reached out and pressed the flush button on the side, then, looking like he was willingly marching to his death, jumped into the toilet.
Flush, flush.
With the sound of flushing, the heartbroken green-haired man was flushed away by the golden toilet.
“Sigh, what a brave warrior, tsk tsk tsk…” Seeing this, Sparkle immediately put on a sympathetic expression and shook her head with a tone of mock regret.
“Indeed.
It’s all that troll Aha’s fault for rejecting them over six hundred times.
What a heartless Aeon.” Ayin, rare for him, didn’t retort but instead deliberately sighed loudly.
“Tell me about it.
I really thought he’d succeed this time.
After all, for the sake of his prank, that kid even messed with his own dad.
Pfft, that’s hilarious.” A Fool standing closest to him nodded in agreement and said in a teasing tone.
Seeing that someone nearby had taken the bait, the corners of Ayin’s mouth couldn’t help but curl upward.
But on the surface, he maintained an air of righteous indignation and continued to incite the crowd, “That’s why I say, we can’t let Aha get away with this.
So what if He’s The Aeon of Elation?
There are so many of us in the tavern; if He dares to show up, we’ll rip that mask right off Him!”
As soon as these words were spoken,
more and more people around turned to look at him.
“Huh?
I remember him.
I heard he even messed with the top brass of the Interstellar Peace Corporation, and he’s an Emanator too.”
“I think you’re right.
I heard that back on the Luofu, it was this guy who pried open their Ambrosial Arbor, and General Jing Yuan chased him for several streets!”
“He’s that impressive…
So, what do you think we should do?”
Thanks to Ayin’s unique light cone crafting techniques and the stunts he had pulled across the universe over the past three years, he was quite well-known among the Masked Fools, and many recognized him.
“Ahem…
That’s simple.
You’re desperate for His response because Aha is The Aeon of Elation, right?
Well, we just need to make Him not that anymore.” Ayin coughed lightly, then continued to deceive them with a straight face, “How about we expel Aha from the [Path] of [Elation]?
Let Him go wherever He wants.”
Once such an outrageous statement was made, surprisingly, not many people refuted it.
Instead, they all silently pondered the feasibility of this idea.
Many Fools even had their eyes light up, and looking somewhat excited, they raised their glow sticks and nodded in strong approval.
“Alright, then I’ll be bold enough to act as a witness.
I propose expelling Aha from the [Path] of [Elation], permanently.
Who agrees?
Who objects!” Seeing that the time was ripe, Ayin flashed to the top of the central pure gold toilet, raised both hands, and shouted to the crowd below.
“Heehee, Little Blondie, I didn’t expect an Emanator like you to want to expel an Aeon.
You’re killing me with laughter.”
“How could Lord Sparkle miss out on something so interesting…
I vote twice!” Standing where she was, Sparkle followed Ayin’s lead and raised her hands, responding while struggling to suppress her laughter.
“I agree too!”
“And me!
To hell with Aha!”
“We want to laugh to our hearts’ content, I agree too!”
“Boycott Aha, starting with me!”
With the first person taking the lead, others were swept up by the atmosphere and raised their hands as well.
The result was that this unilateral trial against Aha ended with a landslide victory of 473 to 7.
And those 7 people who voted against it were collectively expelled from the [Path] of [Elation] by the 473 who voted in favor, becoming the biggest joke of this Amber Era.
…
Inside a café in the Two-Phase Paradise.
Having finished his business, Ayin had long since left the tavern and hidden away here, leisurely sipping coffee.
And the bill for this time was naturally sent to the Strategic Investment Department of the Interstellar Peace Corporation, under the guise of “helping you secure a guaranteed profitable investment…”
“So, Miss Sparkle, the fun is over.
Why are you still following me?
Don’t tell me it’s just to mooch a cup of coffee?” Ayin looked at the girl in front of him, who was sipping her coffee in small mouthfuls and pretending to be dignified, feeling somewhat helpless.
“Can’t I come to see you just because I have nothing else to do?
Little Blondie, you’re really breaking my heart.” Sparkle didn’t feel the slightest bit awkward upon hearing this; instead, she took the opportunity to look up and tease him.
“Then keep on breaking your heart.
I’m leaving.” Ayin curled his lip and stood up, intending to leave.
Based on past experience, the best way to deal with Sparkle is to have no strategy at all, simply letting her entertainment plans fall through.
“Hey, don’t go!
Little Blondie, how could you have the heart to abandon me!” Seeing that Ayin really intended to leave, Sparkle hurriedly stood up, grabbed the corner of his clothes, and added pitifully,
“Didn’t I say earlier that I had something important to discuss with you…
um…
do you have any extra light cones?”
