Inside the lobby.

A beautiful, ethereal female voice echoed through the spacious hall.

The expressions of the audience gradually shifted—from initial shock and surprise to pure enjoyment.Full novel: Genshin: Parallel World Game Developer — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Many people closed their eyes, quietly listening and immersing themselves in the music.

Even the white-haired elder was no exception.

The conductor’s baton in his hand began to move unconsciously, following the rhythm of the music.

Seeing their reactions, Lin Yuan wasn’t surprised.

After all, the first track he played was one of Genshin Impact’s most iconic login themes: “Dream Aria.”

The game’s login music changes depending on the time of day—morning, noon, dusk, and night—each with its own variation.

But no matter how many times he listened, the dusk version, Dream Aria, was always the most moving to him.

Every time he logged in during the evening, he would linger for a few extra minutes just to listen.

That soft, flowing melody felt as if it instantly transported listeners into a vast and beautiful fantasy world.

It was mesmerizing—almost impossible to wake from.

Though, admittedly, sometimes he’d end up falling asleep while listening…

Only to wake up the next day and realize his in-game resin had capped for hours—what a loss.

Back in the music company’s lobby—

As the melody evolved, several of the young orchestra trainees began humming along softly, following both the rhythm and the conductor’s baton.

Soon, others joined in.

More and more children hummed together, and even some adults couldn’t resist joining.

The fair-skinned young man watched everything unfold.

Listening to the breathtaking music that almost brought him to tears, his face flushed with embarrassment.

After all, just moments ago, he had nearly thrown Lin Yuan out…

Standing beside him, the receptionist wore a completely different expression.

Her face was filled with shock, her mouth slightly open in disbelief.

She didn’t understand music deeply—but she had eyes.

Seeing these so-called “music experts,” who were usually proud and aloof, completely captivated by a single piece…

She could hardly believe it.

These people, who normally looked down on everything, were now utterly immersed—this was unbelievable!

Most importantly, the white-haired elder in the center was one of the company’s top conductors!

The orchestra he led was one of their flagship ensembles.

The music left everyone deeply moved—but all good things must come to an end.

As the final note faded, Dream Aria ended.

Yet many in the audience still looked unsatisfied, as if they wanted more.

Of course, Lin Yuan hadn’t prepared just one piece.

To seal the deal in one go and win over the orchestra, he had carefully selected several tracks.

And next—

he wasn’t going to play another login theme.

Dream Aria had already drawn them into that beautiful fantasy world—there was no reason to let them wake up yet.

So the next sequence was:

“A Day in Mondstadt.”

Of course, that was just a general term.

In reality, it consisted of six different tracks, divided by time of day:

Daytime (6:00–17:00): “City of Winds and Idylls” and “Busy Afternoon in Mondstadt”

Evening (17:00–19:00): “Dusk in Mondstadt”

Night (19:00–5:00): “Moonlight in Mondstadt” and “Under the Starlit Sky of Mondstadt”

Dawn (5:00–6:00): “Another Day in Mondstadt”

Together, these six pieces made listeners feel as though they had spent an entire peaceful and beautiful day in Mondstadt, a city in the land of Teyvat.

Of course, since the game hadn’t been released yet—

the world of Teyvat existed only in their imagination.

Even so, it was more than enough.

After all, human imagination knows no bounds.

The young children wore joyful smiles.

Humming together, they seemed as if they had spent a whole day playing in a fairytale town.

As for the white-haired conductor—

his eyes had grown slightly moist.

He couldn’t remember the last time he had listened to such beautiful music so freely and wholeheartedly.

And now, it wasn’t just one piece—

but seven in a row.

His heart felt completely fulfilled.

Meanwhile, during the performance, anyone passing through the lobby would instinctively stop upon hearing the enchanting music.

By the time the six tracks ended—

the vast hall was packed with listeners.

Yet not a single sound broke the silence.

All eyes were fixed on Lin Yuan.

Their expressions ranged from curiosity to admiration—

but the earlier mockery and disdain had completely disappeared.

“So… can we talk about a pleasant collaboration now?”

Lin Yuan smiled as he looked at the fair-skinned young man, a hint of teasing in his tone.

The young man’s face turned crimson with shame.

“Xiao Wei!

Explain exactly what just happened here!”

The white-haired elder noticed the situation and quickly walked over.

After hearing those pieces, he was completely immersed.

All he wanted now was to talk with Lin Yuan, to learn more—

to find out who composed those works.

If Lin Yuan had developed any resentment because of what just happened, it would be a disaster.

“I… I…”

Under the elder’s stern gaze, the young man looked like he was about to cry.

Seeing that he couldn’t speak, the receptionist stepped in and explained everything that had happened since Lin Yuan entered the building.

“I see…”

The elder shot the young man a glare, then turned to Lin Yuan with an apologetic expression.

“I’m very sorry, young man.

That was our fault.”

“It’s nothing—just a small misunderstanding,” Lin Yuan waved it off casually.

He was here to collaborate, not waste time over trivial matters.

Seeing his calm attitude, the elder’s eyes showed a hint of appreciation.

Lin Yuan’s easygoing nature suited him well.

After a brief hesitation, the elder finally asked:

“May I ask… who composed those pieces?”
