Li Zetian’s leave was almost up, and Xiao Zhixuan urged him to quickly return to Harvard University in the US.
So, on March 26th, Li Zetian took a plane to Boston Airport in the US.
As for the manuscript of “Zhu Xian”, Li Zetian planned to finish it in the US and directly publish it through “Times Literature Publishing House”.
The pen name Mr.
Li was already quite famous in Taiwan.
If published directly, he believed many people would be willing to buy it.
If serialized in a newspaper or magazine, most readers would not be willing to spend money to buy the book after reading it once.
After returning to school, Li Zetian immediately called Yu Jingqiu to tell her he was back.
Actually, every night in Taiwan, Li Zetian would call Yu Jingqiu and chat on the phone.
However, the time wasn’t long, about 10 minutes.
Most of the time was used for writing the book.
Besides, Yu Jingqiu also had a lot of homework to do.
Harvard University’s library has many motivational quotes.
“No pain, no gain.”
“Sleep now and you will dream; study now and you will achieve your dream.”
Harvard University students play, but when they study, they are extremely hardworking.
No one can succeed casually.
Li Zetian and Yu Jingqiu were both striving hard for their futures.
You must know, if you don’t study and don’t progress, your future competitors might be turning pages non-stop at this very moment…
In the dorm room.
Bill Gates introduced a friend to Li Zetian; his name was Paul Allen.
Li Zetian was actually no stranger to this person.
Paul Allen was the co-founder of Microsoft, and his computer skills were not inferior to Bill Gates at all.
He and Bill Gates were two famous computer prodigies in Seattle.
Both were students at Lakeside School, just that Paul Allen was older and in an upper grade, while Bill Gates was in a lower grade.
In his previous life, without even a prototype of the Altair 8800 microcomputer, and relying solely on an Intel-8080 processor manual, Paul Allen used a PDP-10 computer made by DEC to simulate the Intel-8080 integrated block to develop the BASIC language.
This was an almost impossible task for those engineers, but Allen accepted the challenge.
From then on, the Altair 8800 microcomputer had its own programming language, and Microsoft made its debut, crushing everything in its path and becoming the nightmare of countless software companies!
Li Zetian knew that before Microsoft was founded, Paul Allen had repeatedly persuaded Bill Gates to drop out of Harvard University to start a business with him.
Presumably, this visit was also to persuade Bill Gates to drop out and start a business!
And according to Li Zetian’s understanding, in order to persuade Bill Gates to drop out and start a business with him, Paul Allen specially dropped out of Washington State University and came to Boston, finding a temporary job near Boston while lobbying Bill Gates.
Uh…
persuading someone to drop out to this extent forces one to admire him in prostration!!!
Li Zetian stared at Paul Allen, observing him while secretly saying in his heart, “Persuading Bill Gates to drop out is something that should be left to me.
As for you, don’t keep thinking about starting your own business; follow me in the future!!!”
At this time, Bill Gates pointed to Paul Allen and Li Zetian successively and introduced: “Hi, Chronos, this is my friend — Paul Allen.
He is also a master of computer programming!
Paul, this is Chronos Lee, the super genius I often mentioned to you on the phone!!!”
“Hello, Paul!” Li Zetian showed a very friendly smile and reached out to shake hands.
After all, Paul Allen was very likely to be one of his leading generals in the future, so he naturally had to leave a good impression on him.
“Hello, Chronos, I’ve heard a lot about you.
I heard your programming skills are even more formidable than Bill’s, it’s truly admirable!” Paul Allen shook hands with Li Zetian and said with slight excitement.
Bill Gates had never yielded to him, because although Bill Gates was younger, he was more formidable in many aspects.
But for such a proud person to be thoroughly convinced by this international student from China in front of him, it forced Paul Allen to look at Li Zetian with new eyes.
Li Zetian smiled and didn’t say modest pleasantries like “you’re too kind.” His strength was right there, worthy of his praise.
Moreover, Americans are straightforward; if you are too modest, they might think you are hypocritical.
Because all three were masters of computer programming and shared similar interests, they had a great chat.
As they chatted, Paul Allen not only tried to persuade Bill Gates to drop out but even started persuading Li Zetian to drop out!
Li Zetian didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Is Paul Allen a maniac for persuading people to drop out?!
“Chronos, don’t you think computers are developing extremely fast?
5 years ago, companies and schools using computers could be counted on one’s fingers, but now, a huge number of schools and enterprises across the US have started using computers!”
“Uh, it indeed develops very fast!”
“With the popularization of computers, I believe that in the future, commercial software will have massive development potential!
Li Zetian was also planning to drop out, but this was not the best time to agree to Paul Allen.
If Li Zetian agreed to drop out now and start a business with him, then as a co-founder of the company, Li Zetian’s shareholding in the company couldn’t possibly be significantly higher than the other party’s.
This was very unreasonable, and the other party wouldn’t agree either.
As someone transmigrated from the future, Li Zetian was very ambitious.
First, the company must be his.
Bill Gates and Paul Allen could own a portion of the shares, but together they must absolutely not exceed 40%.
The company would need financing and listing in the future.
If Li Zetian had too few shares, he wouldn’t be able to control Microsoft!
Therefore, the only way was for Li Zetian to establish Microsoft first, achieve some minor success, and then invite them to join Microsoft and give them a portion of the shares.
Li Zetian then threw the ball to Bill Gates: “Bill, are you planning to drop out?”
At this moment, Bill Gates was just an ordinary Harvard student; no one could imagine what he would become in the future.
For Bill Gates, his father was a famous lawyer, and lawyers are very wealthy and have high status in the United States.
Therefore, Bill Gates’ dream was to succeed his father and also become a lawyer, which was why he became a law student at Harvard.
A Harvard diploma was still very important to him.
Furthermore, Bill Gates’ parents strictly forbade him from dropping out.
Therefore, despite Paul Allen’s repeated persuasion, he still couldn’t sway Bill Gates until the appearance of the Altair-8800 microcomputer, which made Bill Gates see an infinitely promising business opportunity, leading him to resolutely drop out to start a business!
As Li Zetian expected, Bill Gates shook his head and said: “I’m sorry, Paul, I still need to think about it…”
Paul Allen sighed in disappointment, but he was not discouraged.
At this time, the dorm door opened, and Steve Ballmer walked in.
“Who is this?” Steve Ballmer asked.
Paul Allen stood up and introduced himself: “My name is Paul Allen, nice to meet you!
You must be Steve Ballmer, I heard Bill Gates mention you.”
“Yes, I am Steve Ballmer.
Nice to meet you too!”
The two shook hands, let go, and then walked to the sofa and sat down together.
Li Zetian looked left and right.
Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Steve Ballmer.
Damn, the three giants of Microsoft were all gathered.
No, if he included himself, it should be the Four Giants…
