A lot happened in the following five hours.
Logan wanted to reinforce his base so that even if he went on a long expedition and some player found it while he was gone, it would be strong enough to hold on its own.
The summons he’d sent out to hunt and scout brought back excellent results.
While they leveled up and earned Tower Points, Logan stayed at the base to reinforce it and summoned ten more Production Units. No Epic came out of that batch.
But he merged most of them, including his old production units, and ended up with three Epic-rank production units and two Rare-rank.
One was Jade Artisan Golem. Logan called him Bob the builder.
Bob could produce Jade Stones from normal stones and also create considerably stronger walls.
Logan’s 50-meter radius border had another layer of walls, tougher and stronger compared to the ones at the 35-meter mark. Naturally, they were also in the formation of a hexagon.
His base was a hexagon star within a star. He had read many base-building strategies, but this one was the best one in his opinion.
Of course, Bob could do more things. He was Epic-rank, after all! One of his passive effects gave all of his walls a regeneration effect. And another passive gave a 20% chance of upgrading the walls when creating them to Legendary-rank, so some of the walls were more sturdy and fancy.
And, he also finally built the roof, with a crude tower in the center going upward where he stationed a Tower Minion to keep an eye on the surroundings.
Epic-rank production units were no joke. They could build the base solidly. Bob could just point his hands in a direction, release the magical jade cement prepared by refining and enchanting stones, and build structures as per direction.
The second Epic-rank production unit was Blazing Rumble Chef. He named her Martha.
All of Martha’s skills were cooking-related. And Logan had a solid stock of food since the summons had brought a lot of meat and various kinds of vegetables, shrooms, and fruits. Some were poisonous, but Martha could handle them.
Martha could also create cooking utensils using mud and her flames with a skill, giving more variety to her cooking, and also crafted boxes to store food.
The third Epic-rank was something of an experiment since it involved Tinker Brambell’s merging line.
But the result was good.
Her name was Tinker Fairy Inventor, and Logan called her Tinkerbell.
Tinkerbell had an amazing skill called Treasure Compass. She could generate a compass that would point in the direction where a resource was located. It could be of any rank. Once the resource was found, the compass would disappear.
Logan had already stored 20 Treasure Compasses in the Storage Ring, stacked into one slot.
Tinkerbell only had three skills despite being Epic-rank, but all three were good.
The second skill was also an active skill. Giving her random things, she could invent something, up to Epic-rank!
With just bones of some monsters and jade cement from Bob, and other stuff, she invented four useful things.
One Epic-rank bomb that could explode and release heavy liquid that would act like rapidly cooling cement.
Another Epic-rank bomb that could generate a dark cloud filled with lightning upon impact, generating a burst of electricity to shock the target.
The third one was a Rare-rank Shooting Sword. Basically, the sword’s blade would shoot like a bullet with a string attached to the handle. It also had a bleeding effect.
The fourth item she invented was an Epic-rank Spike Shield.
Logan had equipped all four items. Bombs at his waist, sword inside the shield with both of them at his back, with a leather belt and his new leather outfit, crafted by the Rare-rank production unit, Sheep Thread Tailor.
This tailor used hide of the monsters that his summons brought them, and his own back, which had a weird but fluffy coat like that of a sheep, to create threads.
The second Rare-rank Production Unit was Aquabless Mole.
A mole that had been gone for two hours and hadn’t returned yet.
This Rare-rank Mole had two skills. One was about digging the ground to create a well and finding a water source.
Another was enchanting the water in a well to give it recovery properties.
The well was ready, and the Mole had gone from there into the ground and hadn’t returned yet since it would only return with water.
Production units couldn’t level up by killing monsters. They could only level up by doing their job, so he would have to let them do their jobs.

After these five hours, Logan had cleared a 5-kilometre radius around his base. No monster in sight anywhere there.
The trees and stones were cut enough that 200 meters radius was clear ground with no grass in sight.
He had also upgraded his Territory Core Healing Area to level 3 by spending 1500 points, now recovering HP and MP faster.
The summons had a feast an hour ago, so everyone was once again busy working.
’I should take a nap now. Get properly ready with the rest, and then go on for a long expedition with my three Epic-rank summons.’
In less than ten seconds after he closed his eyes, he dozed off. The exhaustion settled in quickly.
The brain and body activity was quite a lot today, after all. His hand was also gone.

"Hahahaha, this is the power of a Legendary-rank class!"
Marcus laughed out loud in pure delight and thrill. "I had to sacrifice three normal mobs to distract the boss, but it’s fine. I earned way more."
Just a couple of seconds ago, with a starry blue sword in his hand and starry wings at his back, Marcus one-shotted the Level 10 Epic-rank dungeon boss with a Legendary-rank class skill.
His combat summons, two Normal-rank, three Uncommon-rank, and two Rare-rank, stood by at the back, watching.
"You think we’ll die next?"
"He sacrificed over ten summons so far, but even those that came after me. We’ll be fine."
"It’s because you are rare-rank..."
Meanwhile, Marcus grinned. "My class reached level 4! Time to upgrade the Aether Pierce Bladeshot again. I can one-shot anything with this skill."
’This is my second dungeon. I bet nobody is as strong as me in this match right now.’ Marcus thought. ’It’s just unfortunate that I didn’t get the first dungeon clear achievement. But I’ll get the first Field Boss achievement, or maybe I should get the first territory elimination.’
Marcus’s eyes glinted. "With my power, I can destroy a territory core with my summons. Eliminating players early is better, especially players near me. I have to search around in a wider area and eliminate them."
Marcus left the dungeon with the rewards, thrilled.
Back at his base, which was shabby and crude, there were three Legendary-rank summons!
Of course, he hadn’t summoned them. They were brought from the Tier Shop of the tower by his parents for a massive, hefty price of Tier Points that equalled winning two matches for them, something that only happens once a year, according to their win rate of around 20%.
But they still brought it just so their son could win his first match and dominate the map, racking in more Tier Points upon winning.
Higher-Tier players paid more for lower-Tier goods in the Tier Shop, not less, which was the only reason high-tier parents and families couldn’t just hand their kids the whole shop.
Marcus was the first child in their family who got a Legendary-rank class, so they were going all out to give him the advantage and get him to win his first match.
