Chapter 25: Six New Names (2/2)

Global PvP Tower: I Can Infinitely Merge My Units

```
[ Abyssal Tide Sovereign ]
Name: Tide
Rank: Mythic
Talent: Crushing Depths. Any space he claims carries the weight of the deep ocean, punishing for anything he doesn’t choose to shelter.
[ Active Skills ]
> Depth Charge (Mythic)
> Tidal Grasp (Mythic)
> Maelstrom (Mythic)
> Bioluminescent Lure (Mythic)
[ Passive Skills ]
> Pressure Ward (Mythic)
> Abyssal Regeneration (Mythic)
> Cold Current (Mythic)
```

The water didn’t drain once Tide had claimed the room. If anything, it thickened, and something at the bottom caught what little light there was and threw it back up at the surface.

Logan waded over and found a second chest, waterlogged wood that should have rotted through years ago, sealed with something that felt more like old resin than rust.

He worked the lid open and found cloth inside instead of coin, folded tight enough that it hadn’t taken on a single drop of water.

```
[ Reliquary Ward-Plate (Tier-1/Legendary) Acquired ]
Player-only. Cannot be equipped by summons.
+20 Constitution while worn.
```

He held it up. Old-fashioned, stitched with something that shimmered faintly whenever it caught the crystal light, sized for a person and nobody else.

"Guess this one’s mine." He shrugged it on over what he already had. It settled like it had been waiting for him specifically.

The passage climbed again after the flooded stretch, and climbed further than it had any right to, until it opened without warning into a cavern with no ceiling at all, just open black sky thick with more stars than Logan had ever seen from the ground.

Something drifted down out of that sky to meet them, faintly glowing, edges blurring where its light met the dark around it.

```
[ Starfallen Wisp Colony (Tier-1/Rare) ]
```

It attacked with light, a beam that should have taken someone’s head off. The star-touched Mythic simply stood in it and let it hit.

The light didn’t scatter or reflect. It vanished into him, swallowed whole, and Logan watched the glow along his own frame brighten to match whatever had just been fed to it.

"Starfeeder," he said, sounding faintly amused. Any light or energy thrown at him fed him instead of hurting him, banked up until he chose to give it back all at once.

He gave it back.

The return blast tore straight through the Wisp Colony’s core, and the light show ended as suddenly as it had started.

```
[ Starfallen Wisp Colony (Tier-1/Rare) killed. ]
```

"Nova," Logan said, watching starlight still drifting like slow snow around the newest addition to his roster.

"Nova." He liked the sound of it, judging by how the glow across his chest flared warmer for a second.

```
[ Celestine Star-Eater ]
Name: Nova
Rank: Mythic
Talent: Starfeeder. Light and energy aimed at him get absorbed instead of landing, stored up until he releases it all in a single burst.
[ Active Skills ]
> Nova Discharge (Mythic)
> Starlight Lance (Mythic)
> Supernova Pulse (Mythic)
> Stellar Drift (Mythic)
[ Passive Skills ]
> Banked Radiance (Mythic)
> Photon Skin (Mythic)
> Gravity Well (Mythic)
```

Past the starlit cavern, the passage narrowed into something that felt less like a tunnel and more like a wound, edges dark and uneven, swallowing sound the deeper they went.

A shape peeled itself off the wall, black on black, a mouth where the rest of it should have had a face.

```
[ Hollow Maw Stalker (Tier-1/Rare) ]
```

The void-touched Mythic met it head-on and simply opened his own mouth wider than the Stalker’s, and the fight ended almost before it began, the Stalker gone in a single bite that left nothing behind to mark it had ever existed.

Logan felt something in the back of his own skull sharpen, briefly, like he’d remembered something he’d never actually learned.

"Consume." The word came out of him like a low satisfied hum. Whatever he fully devoured left behind a fraction of itself, permanently, folded into whatever he already was.

"That’s a lot to have inside you." Logan eyed him, half impressed and half unsettled. "Maw."

"Maw," he agreed, and said nothing else, which felt entirely in character already.

```
[ Voidmaw Devourer ]
Name: Maw
Rank: Mythic
Talent: Consume. Acquires full stats and skills of any being it consumed for one hour. Can store five beings in the Voidmaw.
[ Active Skills ]
> Gulf Bite (Mythic)
> Null Maw (Mythic)
> Voidmaw Lash (Mythic)
> Silence Bite (Mythic)
[ Passive Skills ]
> Lingering Hunger (Mythic)
> Endless Stomach (Mythic)
> Umbral Camouflage (Mythic)
```

The last stretch climbed hard, and Logan was breathing through his teeth by the time it opened into a wide shaft rising straight up toward a distant circle of daylight, wind screaming down through it strong enough to push him back a step.

Something rode that wind toward them, wings spread wide enough to blot out the light overhead.

```
[ Skyrend Harrier (Tier-1/Rare) ]
```

The winged Mythic didn’t dodge or brace. She simply claimed the shaft as her own, and the wind screaming down it bent to meet her instead of the Harrier, currents twisting to throw the bird clean off its line mid-dive.

"Skydomain." Her voice carried clean over the wind, light and precise. Any open sky she chose became hers to command, gravity and current both, friendly to anyone she allowed through and openly hostile to anyone she didn’t.

The Harrier hit the shaft wall hard enough to end the fight on impact.

```
[ Skyrend Harrier (Tier-1/Rare) killed. ]
```

"Zephyr," Logan said, watching her settle back down without so much as a ruffled feather, wind still curling loose and easy around her shoulders.

"Zephyr." She dipped her head, pleased.

```
[ Seraphic Skylord ]
Name: Zephyr
Rank: Mythic
Talent: Skydomain. Any open sky she claims bends to her will, currents and gravity both, hostile to anyone she hasn’t allowed through.
[ Active Skills ]
> Windrend Dive (Mythic)
> Gravity Snare (Mythic)
> Cyclone Barrage (Mythic)
> Skyfall Strike (Mythic)
[ Passive Skills ]
> Domain Sense (Mythic)
> Featherlight Step (Mythic)
> Tailwind Grace (Mythic)
```

Six names. Six talents that didn’t look like anything else in his roster, not one of them a copy of what Billy or Solveig or the rest already carried.

Logan looked up the last stretch of the shaft toward the circle of daylight at the top, and felt the same pull he always felt right before something worth finding.

"Alright." He rolled his shoulders. "Let’s see what’s up there."
