It was less than 10 minutes in to KINE 132: Intro To Massage, that Cin realized she’d fucked up.
Not that the class would be hard. Far from it. It just wouldn’t be as useful as she expected.
The modern day hippie teaching the class, all harem pants and woven cardigan, was currently going over the components of a multi-class ‘relaxation unit’ that Cin could look forward to mid-semester.
Now, you may be thinking, ‘But Cin! You’re a fucking idiot! That’s exactly what I’d expect!’
But you have to remember, Cin was two things during her teenage years; an athlete, and one bad day away from becoming a sex criminal.
Having another person's hands all over her body for a not expressly medical reason had been a no-go.
Conversely, having the strong, rough, painful hands and/or tendon scraper of a trainer was definitely on the table.
So basically, when Cin Amie thought ‘massage’ she thought of the kind Physical Therapists meant, which most people just called ‘torture’.
Useful torture though. Like she’d promised Professor Ahrman, she wasn't giving up on her studies just yet, and what she now knew was called ‘Therapeutic Massage’ was a good tool to have in her prospective career.
This was not Therapeutic Massage. This was spa massage. Good for relaxation. Good for a good time. Good for foreplay, if it happened literally anywhere outside of a professional setting.
Right, so maybe not that useless.
Professor Luna (really) had moved on now to explaining the lab aspect of the course, which apparently just involved the students practicing on each other.
If Cin had a drink, she’d have spit it out.
That sounded like something Shinzo Abe would come up with to increase birth rates, not an actual college endorsed class.
Thank god for Gock U’s laissez-faire attitudes towards its student body…
Her eyes flicked to her side, scanning over the tiny little platinum blonde absolute cutie she’d sat next to quivering in her seat. Maybe she was cold, that was one hell of an oversized hoodie.
Maybe Cin was just intimidating.
She hoped it was that. Intimidating opened doors.
“Should you continue onto more advanced courses in your romance with the tactile arts,” Professor Luna said, forcing an eyeroll out of Cin before she had even really registered the words, “you will be assigned random partners for any practicum, to better simulate a professional setting. However, at the start of your courtship, comfort is the most important, so, should you have pre-existing relationships, you are welcome to partner up as you see fit.”
She went on with a hell of a lot more purple rhetoric about the beauty of using one's hands to relieve another, apparently never once picking up on her own double entendres, but Cin heard very little of it.
She was just focused on how she was gonna get that platinum little pussycat next to her onto the massage bed.
When class finally finished, and students began to collect their things, fate handed her a perfect opening.
In her haste to escape whatever had been making her shake like a leaf next to Cin, blondie knocked her notebook to the ground.
“Oop! Lemme get that for you,” Cin said, placing a firm hand on her slim shoulder, keeping her firmly planted in her seat as she leaned over to scoop the offending stationery off the ground. She didn’t worry too much about how much cleavage her tank showed off as she did.
Cin smiled at her as she handed the quivering cutie her notebook back.
Then she took a page from Professor Ahrman’s playbook.
She felt the tug of the girl’s attempt to reclaim her notebook, but didn’t release it.
“Seen me on insta, huh?” Cin asked, smile cool, pleasant. Only the tiniest bit of edge.
Blondie nodded.
“Could say you know me then, yeah?”
Blondie looked confused, but nodded.
Cin beamed.
“Great! Consider us partnered then. See you in practicals, cutie.”
Cin released the notebook, grabbed her own bag, and left, leaving that pretty little thing with a choice to make.
“Hey. Lemme suck your dick.”
“Jesus fuck Lina we’re 10 minutes into the first class,” Cin hissed. “Calm down.”
“But I’m sooo booooooooreeed!” Lina groaned, loud enough to draw some glares. Not making a good case that she had enough discretion for public play.
The class was fucking boring though. No syllabus work for Professor Ranjeev, he just went straight in on the dry, stringy meat of Physics 101.
Cin was in the class because it was a Gen-Ed prereq for an advanced PT degree.
Lina was in it because she’d fucked up the AP paperwork, despite this being so far beneath her it’d be like Ali punching children.
See, Lina Luxe, no matter who you were, would be in the running for smartest person you’d ever met.
She just rarely applied herself.
And she definitely used her powers for evil.
Case in point, she leaned over, whispering into Cin’s ear. “That’s her right?”
This did two things. One, turned Cin the fuck on, and two, demonstrated she did know how to modulate volume perfectly well.
Which, despite technically whispering about going to town on Cin’s gock in the lecture hall, she had not been doing.
No, she’d made damn sure the cute little blondie from Cin’s last could hear that, now seated in the row just in front of them.
There were only so many classes that damn near every freshman had to take.
And, judging by how red her ears were under that adorable platinum pixie cut, she’d heard Lina just fine.
Cin just didn’t know why Lina had giggled after the word ‘her’.
Anyway, Cin kicked Lina in the foot. Physics 1 might be kid’s shit for her, but it was going to be a nightmare for Cin. Like, to an almost supernatural degree.
Cin was no Lina, but she was a pretty smart cookie. She tended to more than make up the difference with effort and discipline, which was why her GPA had been higher all throughout high school. You are reading on g.com, the official source.
But man was she bad at math. Especially with things like physics, where it was less about solving equations, than it was about understanding the equations themselves.
It was weird, put it in a biological or sports context, and she actually kinda kicked ass. But just ask her how to calculate the mechanical advantage of a pulley system and she’d come back to you with a letter instead of a number, somehow.
“She’s cute,” Lina giggled again, and those ears just got redder.
Cin glared at her, and turned her attention back to her book.
Not to class. Despite an apparent enthusiasm for the subject, Ranjeev’s accent was just too thick to be of any real use for her. Cin expected she’d be spending a lot of time with the TA, who’d introduced herself at the start of the class.
Also of southeast asian descent, it sounded like she’d actually been raised in New York, and was perfectly understandable. A little charming, actually.
And fact was, Ruby was pretty hot, but Cin’s dance card was filling fast. There was every chance a visit to office hours might get heated, the way Cin’s life was going it seemed like an almost inevitability, but she’d make damn sure they got some actual tutoring done first, even if she had to beat her off with a stick.
“You know I could just teach you this stuff, right?” Lina hissed. “I’m only here because this guy loves clicker questions so much that they’re 25% of the grade. By the way, hit B.”
Cin scrambled, grabbing the shitty little remote and hitting the button just in time.
“Thought about how you’re gonna juggle all this with the team?” Lina whispered. “You’ve got 5 classes this semester, babe. Sure, two are jokes, but two are, like, hard. For you.”
“Fuck you, I’ll be fine at Stats.”
“Maybe, baby, but I know you’re freaking out about this one. Your actual Kinesthesiology course isn’t gonna be a cakewalk either, despite you actually being good at it. Can’t the team, y’know… put their thumb on the scale?”
‘One of Cordello’s Special Cases.’ That was what Professor Ahrman had called it. For now, Cin didn’t plan on abusing it. But if it came to it…
She shook her head.
“Gotta worry about being starter, first. If I’m just backup, the pressure will be way less.”
Lina looked at her flatly.
“Babe, you could fistfight Jordy with your dick in his girlfriend and still win. You’re gonna make starter.”
“I’m not actually sure who’d that even be a disadvantage for.”
“Not the point! Point is, start planning on being a big deal, because you will be.”
She raised her voice slightly, and nudged the chair in front of her.
“Kinda already is, isn’t she blondie?”
Those pale blue eyes glanced back, frantic. This was just bullying.
Pretty fun!
“Heh. She’s cute,” Lina admitted.
Cin ignored repeated requests for oral-based distraction from Lina for the rest of the class, and when the Professor had finally finished his unintelligible lecture, Cin was out like a shot towards EGP.
Half an hour between class and practice had been a stupid amount of time to give herself.
