Qin Siyang left the alley behind the Internet cafe but didn't go home.

Leaving was just a cover.

He hid on the other side of the Internet cafe, carefully listening to the rustling footsteps in the alley.Full novel: God Eater: When the Sun Went Out — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Liu Dazhi was leaving.

He concealed himself, quietly following Liu Dazhi.

Although Liu Dazhi was cautiously aware of any followers, Qin Siyang never appeared in his line of sight.

He used his keen hearing to detect Liu Dazhi's position, cautiously keeping up while maintaining a distance so Liu Dazhi couldn't see him.

Once Liu Dazhi opened his front door, Qin Siyang memorized the location of his house before quietly leaving.

On his way home, Qin Siyang's mind was filled with Liu Dazhi's threats.

"The scheduled emails, that's indeed a bit tricky."

He didn't know much about Liu Dazhi, so he wasn't sure how he set up the scheduled emails.

What email service did he use? How many email accounts? When did he adjust the send time?

Qin Siyang didn't know the answers to these questions.

Killing Liu Dazhi was easy, but killing him while keeping his own secrets from being leaked was very tricky.

A slight mistake, and all of Qin Siyang's previous efforts would be in vain.

"I can't let my glorious rebirth be ruined by Liu Dazhi."

He needed to quickly devise a plan to eliminate Liu Dazhi as a threat.

After getting home, Qin Siyang glanced at the calendar.

[Blue Star Calendar January 4, 2010]

[Gregorian Calendar, Monday.]

[Xia Calendar, Year of the Ox, November 20, Suitable for planting, not for marriage]

He then packed his things and headed out for school.

His backpack had been burned, and he didn't have a spare, so he used a cloth bag to carry a few lunch boxes.

As for textbooks for class? He had long since thrown them somewhere.

He didn't need those things. He couldn't get into the academy anyway, so pretending was meaningless.

After leaving, Qin Siyang detoured past the Internet cafe, deliberately avoiding the cameras at the entrance.

Through the cafe's door, he saw Liu Dazhi still sitting at the counter by the entrance.

Liu Dazhi was staring intently at the computer screen, his face tense yet excited, his hands swiftly tapping the keyboard, engrossed in some game.

Engrossed in the game, Liu Dazhi didn't notice Qin Siyang passing by.

Qin Siyang glanced at Liu Dazhi, turned, and headed straight for school.

Today didn't seem like a good day to kill Liu Dazhi.

"The perpetual calendar didn't say today was suitable for burial, so there's some truth to that."

On school days, there were slightly more people on this main road at the edge of the Safe Zone, unlike the weekends when it was empty.

Many students walked together in groups.

Qin Siyang walked alone, not greeting anyone.

When he reached the school gate, he noticed several adult figures standing at the entrance, inspecting the school.

Qin Siyang recognized them as the Principal of Ju'an School and a few leading teachers by his side.

Maybe it was his personality, wanting to assert his presence from time to time.

"Good morning, Principal!"

"Good morning, Principal!"

The students greeted the Principal, who smiled in response.

Qin Siyang didn't want to draw attention. Even though he didn't like the Principal, he still smiled and greeted him.

The Principal smiled back at Qin Siyang.

But dealing with the King of Hell is easier than dealing with his minions.

A teacher frowned and immediately shouted at Qin Siyang, "You! Stop!"

The students turned to look, saw the teacher pointing at Qin Siyang, and then continued on their way to class, uninterested in the scene. Being stopped by a teacher at the entrance was a common occurrence, nothing worth watching.

After all, the worse the school, the more rules there are.

The teacher approached and said, "Why didn't you greet the Principal loudly? Don't you know the importance of respecting teachers and valuing education?"

Hmm? Just because he didn't greet loudly enough, he had to be questioned? Qin Siyang's fingers twitched involuntarily, as if wanting to clench into a fist.

With a weapon in hand, the urge to kill arises.

After killing someone, his mindset had changed, and he really wanted to simply punch this teacher to show him how he understood "respecting teachers and valuing education."

He owed the United Government for free meals and education, but he owed nothing to the teachers.

But then Liu Dazhi's disgusting smile flashed in Qin Siyang's mind.

Forget it, endure it a bit longer.

If he hit the teacher now, he'd have to reveal himself as a Sequence Ability User, and Liu Dazhi might go straight to the police, spilling everything that happened before... troublesome.

Everything had to wait until after Liu Dazhi was dealt with.

Fortunately, Qin Siyang had endured plenty of grievances in his past life, so pretending to be weak came naturally.

He immediately put on a smile full of apology, "Sorry, teacher, I didn't sleep well last night, so I didn't have the energy to speak loudly this morning. I'll greet them again. Good morning, Principal! Good morning, teacher!"

The Principal smiled generously, not caring at all about the volume of Qin Siyang's greeting, and said, "Make sure to rest well in the future. It's fine, go to class."

"Thank you, Principal."

"Wait!" The teacher called out to Qin Siyang again.

"Why aren't you carrying a backpack? What's in the bag you're holding? Let me see."

The teacher seemed eager to showcase his keen insight in front of the Principal, snatching the bag from Qin Siyang's hand and opening it to see what was inside.

"Why are there only lunch boxes? Where are your textbooks? Didn't you do your homework over the weekend?"

What use are textbooks? Studying is just a waste of time. How many people get into the United Government's academies each year? Don't you know?

The top students in the grade, aren't they all known to you school leaders? Just focus on nurturing your top students, why bother with an ordinary student like me?

However, faced with the teacher's stern questioning, Qin Siyang once again suppressed the urge to punch him into a new life.

With each act of patience, his hatred for Liu Dazhi deepened.

Just as Qin Siyang was about to speak, a girl's voice suddenly came from behind:

"Teacher, Qin Siyang and I went to a classmate's house for tutoring over the weekend, and he left his books there. I agreed with the classmate to bring his books today."

Qin Siyang turned to see that it was Li Jingwen who had spoken up for him.

"Hmm? Is that so?"

The teacher looked at the two of them suspiciously but didn't see any hint of romance in Qin Siyang's eyes, realizing there was no sign of early romance, so he let them go.

"Thank you, teacher."

"Thank you, teacher!"

The teacher's scrutinizing gaze was also caught by Qin Siyang, making him inwardly scoff.

This lousy school, still trying to catch early romances? For whom?

Most people go to work after high school graduation anyway, so dating now, getting married after graduation, isn't that just right for fully committing to work?

He didn't understand why Ju'an School, with such a low graduation rate, had so many pointless rules.

Li Jingwen quickly walked a few steps to catch up with Qin Siyang, walking alongside him.

"Qin Siyang, shouldn't you say something to me?"

Qin Siyang looked at Li Jingwen's bright smile and said emotionlessly, "Do you think I should thank you?"

"I helped you, isn't it right for you to say thank you?"

"When I used to bring you breakfast and help you with your homework, you never thanked me, just said it was a test of our relationship."

"Just now, consider it a test for you. Of course, I'm not testing if you're suitable to date me, but if you still have a bit of humanity."

Li Jingwen's smile froze for a moment, then she switched to a slightly coquettish tone, "I didn't do well before. You helped me, I helped you, we're even now, okay? Your cold words really hurt my feelings."

Even?

Qin Siyang found it amusing.

In his memory, he often stayed up late to help Li Jingwen with her homework. To bring her breakfast, he often went hungry himself.

One insignificant act of help, and they were even?

His efforts were truly cheap in Li Jingwen's eyes.

Fortunately, in his rebirth, he stopped the losses in time.

Being even was good. After clearing things up, he could completely cut ties with Li Jingwen, sparing himself the daily disgust.

"Alright. We're even."

"If we're even, let's start over. Qin Siyang, I'll be more proactive with you in the future, can you..."

"Can I continue bringing you breakfast, doing your homework?"

Li Jingwen, hearing Qin Siyang's quick response, didn't catch the questioning tone and thought he agreed, nodded with a smile, "Mm-hmm, can you? I really like seeing you care for me, my motivation for the day comes from you! I find I can't live without you."

Then, she gave a smile she thought would charm Qin Siyang.

This cheesy confession was something Li Jingwen and her bestie planned over the weekend. Based on their understanding of Qin Siyang, they were sure to win him over.

But Qin Siyang only said flatly, "Li Jingwen, there's a question I've always wanted to ask you."

"Go ahead, if I know, I'll definitely tell you!"

"Why do you insist on deceiving just me? Aren't there other male classmates willing to be your lapdog?"

Li Jingwen didn't expect Qin Siyang to say that, momentarily speechless, "You... what do you mean?"

"If you want to pursue Zhou Yang, work for it yourself, stop trying to leverage me, okay?"

"You want to bring him breakfast, but ask me to make it for you. You want to compare answers with him, but ask me to help with your homework. You want me to do everything, why don't I just marry him?"

Qin Siyang ruthlessly exposed Li Jingwen's intentions, leaving her momentarily flustered, a look of shock on her face.

"Li Jingwen, stop bothering me, find another lapdog to do your homework. If you come to me again..."

Qin Siyang gave a disdainful smile:

"You wouldn't want Zhou Yang to find out about this, would you?"
