Arthur stood there while countless players watched him, and for the first time, he felt slightly awkward under so many gazes.
"I’ll have to buy a stealth skill and a regeneration skill eventually. But I can wait and see if something useful drops from the Royal Grade boss," he thought.
"Besides, the real bigshots will enter the game soon."
Until now, only small fries had entered Genesis Realm. Most of them were gamers or members of the younger generation who had already been playing other virtual games.
But once the news spread throughout the country, the true powerhouses would inevitably enter the game.
And as expected, the moment Leon told his father everything Arthur had revealed to him, a massive storm swept through the upper echelons of the Aurora city.
The military investigated the six gamers who had exited Genesis Realm, but they found nothing unusual inside their bodies. There was no physical evidence inside them.
It only made them beleive Arthur’s super natural theory even more.
Arthur was looking toward the teleportation array in Azure Town. The town could accommodate up to 100,000 people, yet fewer than 10,000 players had entered the town so far.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
Several figures suddenly appeared within the teleportation array. Then more followed.
Within moments, at least ten people had entered the town, and every single one of them was wearing either a military or police uniform.
Genesis Realm had brought their real identities, appearances, names, and even their clothes into the game exactly as they were in reality.
It seemed that the moment the government received the information, they had gone into a frenzy and sent every available personnel member into Genesis Realm.
"Hahaha, we’re in Azure Town! Thank God. Let’s find Darklord quickly!" one of the newcomers said hurriedly.
However, they did not need to search for him.
Arthur had deliberately placed his shop close to the teleportation array, making him one of the first things newcomers would see.
"Hey, there he is. That little brat Leon wasn’t lying after all," one of the police officers said.
Leon was the son of his friend and colleague, so the officer knew him personally.
The group quickly approached Arthur.
"The information you spread, is it true?" That was the first question they asked.
They were so anxious that they did not even bother exchanging pleasantries.
"Whether it’s true or not, I can’t verify it myself," Arthur replied calmly. "Why don’t you use the money and level up? Once you reach level 10, you’ll find out the truth for yourselves, won’t you?"
His main target had always been the government.
In the future power struggle, the government would inevitably try to maintain control over the situation. And if Arthur could establish a good relationship with them now, they would undoubtedly become some of his biggest customers.
"That would still cost more than 450 million dollars, if we created a Gold Foundation," one of the officers said unwillingly.
"Then why not use Bronze?" Arthur asked casually.
The officers immediately fell silent.
They were clearly hesitant. If Arthur’s information was true, then creating a Bronze Foundation would leave them far too weak compared to those who invested heavily from the beginning.
"So you do believe my words?" Arthur asked with a faint smile.
"I want the government to have decent power if the information is true. Having individual people become the center of power would be too troublesome for the country.", Arthur said in a calm tone.
"How about this? You request 60 billion dollars from the government and use it to purchase thirty Royal Grade items from the guild and give them to me."
"I’ll give you the three Legendary Grade items as well as 10 billion worth of Gold. Almost all of my money has already gone into leveling up, so I don’t have many decent artifacts left to fight efficiently.", Arthur lied as he couldn’t let them suspect anything.
"You help me now, and in the future, I’ll sell items to the government at a twenty percent discount."
The officers exchanged glances.
After a brief discussion, the captain nodded.
"Okay. We’ll inform the higher-ups."
He immediately turned toward the other members.
"I’ll level up using money and then head outside. You guys start hunting monsters."
"Yes, sir!"
The soldiers immediately saluted.
Arthur smiled as he watched them leave.
The military was only the beginning. Once the private companies verified his information, they would undoubtedly contact him as well.
And Arthur was certain that would happen within five hours at most.
At the moment, however, he was stuck in a bottleneck.
He could kill some small fries, but they would not bring him much money. He could also explore the other two dungeons, but they would not help him much either.
What he needed were richer customers.
Two hours later, a worldwide announcement suddenly rang throughout Genesis Realm.
[Congratulations to Player Heavenly God from Moonwater Town for reaching Level 10, becoming the first player in the world to reach Level 10. He has been awarded 2 Reputation Points.]
The announcement was heard by everyone.
The players in Azure Town immediately understood what was happening.
The higher-ups were probably still verifying Darklord’s information.
And if it was true, then the entire world was about to descend into chaos.
Thirty minutes later, the captain returned.
This time, his expression was completely different. His face was filled with seriousness.
"We agree," he said. "Please tell me which Royal Grade items you want. I’ll purchase them immediately."
The entire government of Aurora City was already in turmoil.
They were desperately trying to suppress the information until they had enough power to handle the chaos that would inevitably follow.
They had already verified Arthur’s claim using Bronze currency and discovered that it was indeed possible to bring the power gained in Genesis Realm into reality.
The only problem was that the amount of money required was absurd.
"Buy me daggers, armor, boots, dark elemental mage skills, and anything else useful that you can find," Arthur said, barely able to suppress his excitement.
It was time for him to truly soar.
Boom!
The moment the players saw the military purchasing the items from Arthur, they immediately understood that Darklord had been telling the truth.
The realization sent shockwaves through everyone.
The implications were terrifying.
"I’m leaving. I need to tell my family to enter the game as soon as possible."
"Me too!"
"Holy shit! We’re really about to enter the era of fantasy novels!"
The players went into a frenzy.
...
Thirty minutes later, the captain returned with several other military members.
They were now wearing Elite Grade weapons, armor, and boots.
They were ready to head outside and hunt monsters.
"Here are your items," the captain said.
The soldiers placed all thirty Royal Grade items on the table.
In exchange, Arthur handed over two Legendary Grade artifacts and one Legendary Grade skill.
Although the Legendary Grade skill was worth more than the Clever and the Wand, Arthur did not care.
Time was everything.
He needed to sell those items as quickly as possible.
The thirty Royal Grade items had cost the government six Divine Gold in total.
After selling them, Arthur would only receive around 4.5 Divine Gold in actual value. However, thanks to his Infinite Multiplication talent, that amount would become 45,000 Divine Gold.
That was more than enough for him to reach Level 10.
The captain’s eyes lit up when he saw the two Legendary Grade artifacts and the Legendary Grade skill.
Arthur also gave them two Divine Gold instead of one.
He needed to establish their trust.
"My name is Alex Norman. It’s nice to meet you, and thank you very much for your cooperation," the captain said sincerely.
"Can you help me carry these items to the Adventurer’s Guild? I’ll need to store them there," Arthur said.
"Of course."
The soldiers quickly placed the items into their Adventurer Cards and followed Arthur toward the guild.
Once they arrived, they placed the items on one of the guild tables before leaving immediately.
They were too busy to waste time. They needed to begin hunting as soon as possible.
Arthur walked toward the receptionist.
"Excuse me. I’d like to sell these items."
The receptionist looked at him curiously before glancing at the pile of Royal Grade equipment.
