Chapter 2: First Rain of Wealth

God Level Necromancer: My Talent Multiplies All My Gains to 10000x

The next moment, Arthur felt his body being pulled through an invisible force. His vision blurred, and before he could react, he found himself standing inside a small, completely white room.

[Welcome to the Genesis Realm. You may choose your class now.]

In front of him appeared the familiar class selection interface. Rows of different classes floated before his eyes, each accompanied by a brief description and their basic attributes.

In his previous life, Arthur had chosen the Assassin class. This time, however, he did not even hesitate.

"Necromancer."

His voice was calm and decisive as he selected the class.

At the beginning of Genesis Realm, all classes were Common Grade. The difference between them was mainly their starting attributes. Warrior-type classes possessed higher Strength and Physique, while mage-type classes, such as the Necromancer, started with considerably higher Mana.

But that was not the reason Arthur had chosen the Necromancer.

Everyone could evolve their class after reaching Level 10, advancing from Common Grade to a higher grade. The grade they could evolve into depended on their total attribute points at Level 10.

In his previous life, Arthur had witnessed countless geniuses rise through the ranks. Yet the strongest player he had ever seen was not himself.

It was a Necromancer.

That man had evolved his Common Grade Necromancer class into the Legendary Grade class, Undead Emperor. With every new level, he could summon hundreds of undead creatures, eventually commanding an army of more than ten thousand.

By the later stages of the game, he had become almost untouchable.

And the terrifying part was that his undead army could continue evolving alongside him.

His only weakness was his personal combat ability. Unlike warriors and assassins, his own body was not particularly powerful, and most of his skills revolved around strengthening, evolving, and controlling his undead army.

But what did that matter?

At Level 99, one of his undead generals possessed combat power comparable to a Level 95 warrior. There were even powerful mages among his undead forces.

A single player commanded an entire army containing warriors, assassins, mages, and countless other combat professions.

It was an utterly broken class.

But that Necromancer had also possessed something most players could only dream of.

Luck.

Intelligence.

And enormous wealth which made him reach where he was.

Arthur’s lips curled into a faint smile.

This time, he had something even better.

[Congratulations! You have chosen the Common Grade Mage Class, Necromancer.]

"Now it is coming."

Arthur rubbed his palms together, his eyes shining with anticipation.

The next moment, another interface suddenly appeared before him.

[Ding! Would you like to purchase a talent?]

Arthur’s breathing became slightly heavier.

Exactly one hundred talents appeared before him.

One X Rank Talent.

Ten SSS Rank Talents.

Thirty SS Rank Talents.

Fifty-nine S Rank Talents.

Arthur’s eyes immediately locked onto the first option.

[1. Infinite Multiplication: 5 Divine Gold]

[Effect: Multiplies every gain obtained by the user by 10,000 times without restriction.]

Arthur stared at the description for several seconds before a smile slowly spread across his face.

In his previous life, he had seen this talent too.

But who was foolish enough to use money on an unknown game? But he asked the price out of curiosity and instantly he cursed the creator of the game and his ancestors after learning the price.

Five Divine Gold.

It was an astronomical amount of money. He would have needed to spend 50 billion Arvian Dollars to obtain it.

Now, however, he had returned to the very beginning. He would never miss the chance.

The SSS Rank talents each cost 1 Divine Gold. The SS Rank talents cost 20 Royal Gold each, while the S Rank talents cost 4 Royal Gold.

The prices were absurdly high for every players, even billionaires like him.

But compared to their future value, they were practically nothing.

Once the game progressed, powerful players who possessed enough money at the beginning but had failed to purchase these talents would regret that decision for the rest of their lives.

Later, an SSS Rank talent could cost more than 10 million Divine Gold in the system shop.

As for the X Rank talent, Infinite Multiplication, Arthur had never seen it appear in the shop even once.

Beside he heard that after 3 days of the descend of the game, the talent list also stopped showing. It was probably a welcome offer for the top 100 wealthy players.

And there was another important rule.

Once a player purchased one of these one hundred exclusive talents, that talent would disappear from the selection pool for everyone else.

Only one person could obtain each talent.

"Hahaha!"

Arthur could no longer suppress his excitement.

"Finally, it’s mine."

[Ding! 50 billion Arvian Dollars have been deducted from your bank account.]

[Ding! You have obtained the X Rank Talent, Infinite Multiplication.]

Arthur stared at the notifications for a moment. He had not entered his bank details.

Yet the money had already been deducted.

Apparently, the Genesis Realm was directly connected to the player’s financial account.

Arthur let out a long breath, finally relaxing after confirming that the talent had truly been obtained.

The next moment, his vision blurred again.

When he opened his eyes, he was standing in the middle of a bustling town.

[Welcome to Azure Town, Server 1.]

Arthur looked around.

The streets were already packed with players. Some were shouting in confusion, others were examining their interfaces, while a few had already begun discussing their classes.

In his previous life, Arthur had also started in Azure Town.

Every server contained one hundred beginner towns, and each town could accommodate up to one hundred thousand players.

"Hey, what is going on? Where are we?"

"I don’t know! I was about to chop down that Level 40 Giant Serpent when I suddenly got pulled here!"

"You were playing Pandora?"

"Yeah. Weren’t you?"

"No. I was playing Cyberpunk 432."

"Holy crap! How did we end up in the same game? Our gaming pods aren’t even from the same gaming company!"

The confusion spread throughout the streets.

Arthur barely paid attention.

He had already experienced this scene once in his previous life.

There was no time to waste.

He immediately started running toward the Adventurer’s Guild.

Along the way, he heard several players discussing their classes.

"Let’s check out the outside area. I chose Knight. What about you?"

"I chose Fire Mage."

"I’m a healer, Oni-chan. Can I explore with you?"

"Of course! Come with us. We’re professional gamers. We’ll keep you safe."

Arthur ignored them and continued forward.

Soon, he arrived at the Azure Guild and walked through its massive entrance.

"Welcome to the Azure Guild. How may I help you?"

A beautiful receptionist greeted him with a professional smile.

Arthur glanced at her.

He knew exactly how terrifying this seemingly ordinary NPC was.

In his previous life, a player had once offended this receptionist.

The result?

She had killed him with nothing more than a casual glance.

Arthur quickly looked away.

"Ma’am, I would like to register as an adventurer."

The receptionist’s eyes flashed with slight surprise, but the expression disappeared almost instantly.

"Please fill out this form."

She handed him a piece of paper and a pen.

Arthur quickly filled in the required information before returning the form.

The receptionist glanced through it and then handed him a small card.

"This is your E Rank Adventurer Card. Do not lose it. A replacement card will cost ten gold coins."

"Thank you."

Arthur accepted the card and then calmly continued.

"But I would also like to exchange my real-world currency for game currency."

The receptionist raised an eyebrow.

"How much?"

"Five billion Arvian Dollars."

For the first time, genuine surprise appeared on the woman’s face.

However, she quickly regained her professional composure.

"Hand me your card."

Arthur handed over his Adventurer Card.

The receptionist placed it inside a special device for several seconds before returning it to him.

"Your 50 Royal Gold has been deposited into the storage slot of your card."

Arthur’s eyes flickered.

Five billion Arvian Dollars had been converted into 50 Royal Gold.

That was exactly what he expected.

But then an unfamiliar notification suddenly rang inside his mind.

[Ding! You have obtained 50 Royal Gold.]

[Ding! Infinite Multiplication has been triggered.]

[Ding! You have obtained 5,000 Divine Gold.]

This was exactly what he was waiting for.

His fingers tightened around the Adventurer Card as he desperately suppressed the urge to burst out laughing.

Five thousand Divine Gold.

That was an amount that even he, one of the strongest players in the world in his past life, would need to grind for months and search for treasures to obtain.

"Excuse me, give me 2 Royal Grade dagger and a royal grade mask to hide my prersence."

"Sure. That would be 20 royal golds.", she said with a smile.

Arthur immediately paid. It was just a drop from his ocean of wealth.

She immediately handed him a pair of dark daggers and a dark mask with demon face.

[Ding! You have obtained a pair of Royal Grade dagger.]

[Ding! 10000x multiplication has been triggered. Do you want to evolve them or do you want 10000 pairs of royal grade daggers?]

He swallowed hard.

" Evolve them."

[Ding! You have obtained a pair of Epic level daggers.]

...

[Ding! You have obtained an epic rank mask.]

He checked the dagger first.

[Name: God Slayer

Grade: Epic

Damage: 500%

Effect: Produce no sound while using and 100% penetration below epic realm.

Level Requirement: 10]

[Name: Absolute Veil

Grade: Epic

Effect: Conceal your identify and presence unless someone 30 level above you appears.]

He almost drool seeing the properties. He didn’t dare to take them out from the inventory.

Arthur turned around and walked out of the guild in haste, his expression calm despite the storm of excitement raging inside him.

It was time to level up.
