Hearing the train’s notification chime, quite a few passengers woke up.

Lin Qiye drowsily opened his eyes, feeling a warmth at the back of his head.

And a slight soreness on his lips.Full novel: God Slayer: It’s So Hot, What Did You Put In The Water? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He sat up straight and realized he had been sleeping in An Qingyu’s arms.

There was a familiar coat draped over him, it looked like Cao Yuan’s.

Sensing the warmth in his arms suddenly vanish, An Qingyu opened the eyes he had only just closed not long ago.

“Qiye, you’re awake.”

From the corner of his eye, he noticed that Cao Yuan still hadn’t woken up, and the corners of his lips curved slightly.

“You fell asleep earlier and burrowed into my arms. I was afraid you’d catch a chill while sleeping.”

“I thought taking off my own coat might wake you, so Cao Yuan took the initiative to take off his coat instead.”

Lin Qiye spoke a little embarrassedly,

“Thanks.”

Lin Qiye let out an almost imperceptible sigh. After falling asleep, he had burrowed into someone else’s arms, how embarrassing.

If not for An Qingyu, he wouldn’t even have known that he was so restless in his sleep.

Thinking about something else, Lin Qiye completely ignored the unusual sensation on his lips.

An Qingyu’s lips lifted slightly.

“Qiye, we’re teammates. We’re supposed to help each other, aren’t we? So there’s no need to be so polite with me.”

An Qingyu repeated what Lin Qiye had said not long ago.

Lin Qiye nodded.

There was really no need for him to feel awkward.

Taking a nap in a brother’s arms was nothing.

An Qingyu wasn’t the opposite sex; there was no need for him to think too much about it.

“Ah-choo.” Baili Pangpang sneezed, awakened by a chill.

He opened his eyes and realized the coat on him was gone.

Baili Pangpang glanced around and discovered that his missing coat was on Cao Yuan.

“Bandit Cao, you actually stole my clothes.”

Baili Pangpang snatched back his coat, then grabbed Cao Yuan by the shoulders and started shaking him wildly.

Cao Yuan felt like his brains were about to be shaken smooth.

“Fatty, what the hell are you going crazy for?”

Baili Pangpang increased the force of his shaking.

“What were you doing stealing my coat?”

Cao Yuan’s head spun. Hearing Baili Pangpang’s accusation, he couldn’t help feeling a little guilty.

He retorted stubbornly,

“When you were sleepwalking, you insisted on making me wear your coat.”

“Liar!”

An Qingyu ignored the quarrel across from them, his gaze falling on Lin Qiye’s rosy lips.

They were addictive to him.

Unfortunately, they were about to reach the station, so he had no choice but to stop what he was doing.

Lin Qiye noticed An Qingyu’s gaze and subconsciously touched his face.

“You’re staring at me, do I have something dirty on my face?”

An Qingyu shook his head.

He reached out and smoothed the wrinkle at Lin Qiye’s collar.

“Just a bit of OCD.”

“Oh.” Lin Qiye leaned forward, closing the distance between them, making it easier for An Qingyu to continue.

Lin Qiye thought to himself: this good buddy is not only considerate but even helped him straighten his clothes.

If An Qingyu were a girl, he would definitely fall in love with him.

An Qingyu was focused on adjusting Lin Qiye’s clothes.

Lin Qiye couldn’t help but glance at him a little longer.

An Qingyu wore gold-rimmed glasses, giving off a scholarly, bookish aura.

His skin was fair and delicate, even finer than a girl’s, yet he didn’t lose his masculine charm.

Not to mention, An Qingyu’s facial features were among the most exquisite and attractive.

With the mole at the corner of his eye, he gave off an inexplicably alluring vibe.

Maybe being attracted to a man wasn’t entirely impossible.

This thought suddenly popped into Lin Qiye’s mind.

“The train has arrived at the station. Passengers bound for Daxian, please take your belongings and disembark.”

The train’s arrival announcement sounded.

Lin Qiye snapped back to reality, flustered, and hurriedly stood up from his seat, avoiding An Qingyu’s gaze.

“We’ve arrived… we should…” Lin Qiye took a discreet deep breath, trying to keep his tone casual, “we should get off and buy supplies.”

He hurried down the train steps, as if some ferocious beast were chasing him.

A pleased smile appeared on An Qingyu’s lips, so Qiye was shy, after all.

Through the smooth metal panel of the carriage, he examined his reflection with satisfaction.

The “handsome man strategy” might actually work.

As long as he could win over Lin Qiye, he was willing to try any method.

“What’s gotten into Qiye?” Cao Yuan noticed the subtle change in Lin Qiye’s expression and felt curious.

Could it be that Qiye had caught a whiff of that ‘green tea’ vibe from An Qingyu?

That would be perfect.

Cao Yuan felt a little delighted inside.

Baili Pangpang nudged Cao Yuan.

“Bandit Cao, grab your luggage. It’s time to get off.”

The group picked up their things and hurried to catch up with Lin Qiye.

Lin Qiye had already calmed down. He gave instructions in an orderly manner:

“Cao Yuan and I will go find a vehicle. The rest of you go purchase supplies.”

For some reason, Lin Qiye felt a little afraid to meet An Qingyu’s eyes.

He had actually entertained that kind of thought just now, it was practically rebellious.

But he quickly talked himself out of it.

It was only a fleeting thought; there was no need to dwell on it.

He and An Qingyu would only ever be good brothers.

Baili Pangpang clenched his fist.

“Qiye, when I handle things, you can rest assured.”

Lin Qiye didn’t respond. Instead, he looked at An Qingyu beside Baili Pangpang.

The other gave him a smile, and Lin Qiye immediately felt at ease.

With An Qingyu around, nothing major would go wrong.

Lin Qiye and An Qingyu were like parents each taking care of a child.

Each one watched over a “kid,” making sure they didn’t cause trouble.

After splitting up and acting separately for a while, they soon regrouped at the agreed meeting spot.

An Qingyu and Baili Pangpang arrived carrying supplies. An Qingyu looked at Lin Qiye.

“Qiye, everything’s ready.”

Lin Qiye placed a hand on An Qingyu’s shoulder.

“Well done.”

An Qingyu smiled shyly. The tear mole at the corner of his eye was like a star in the night, dazzling and eye-catching.

Someone’s heartbeat quickened by a few beats.

Lin Qiye froze for a moment. As if burned, he quickly withdrew his hand.

He awkwardly looked away.

“I found a car. We can set off.”

Lin Qiye secretly berated himself. That was his good brother.

How could he have such thoughts about his buddy?

Sure, An Qingyu was good-looking, had a great personality, and was intelligent.

But, but An Qingyu was a man.

The other treated him as a good brother, yet he had developed those secret, unspeakable, shadowy thoughts.

What a sin.

Lin Qiye tried his best to steady his emotions, pushing An Qingyu firmly back into the category of “good brother.”

Suddenly, a cool sensation spread across his palm.

Lin Qiye snapped back to his senses. He looked at An Qingyu beside him, somewhat at a loss for words.

“Qingyu, you… what are you doing?”

An Qingyu tilted his head, looking innocent and harmless.

“Didn’t you promise before to help warm my hands? Oh, and to warm my bed too.”

Lin Qiye felt his face heat up. He spoke as calmly as he could.

“Oh. Alright.”

After all, he couldn’t exactly go back on a promise he had already made.
