An Qingyu’s figure appeared in Lin Qiye’s room.

He slowly peeled off his gloves, then used his fingertips to trace along Lin Qiye’s lips with care.

He rubbed there several times.Full novel: God Slayer: It’s So Hot, What Did You Put In The Water? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The cotton sleepwear fell casually to the floor.

Looking at the alluring Lin Qiye before him, desire rose in An Qingyu’s eyes.

He removed his glasses, this was his usual habit before savoring a delicacy.

An Qingyu bit down on Lin Qiye’s crimson lips, carefully tasting their jelly-like sweetness.

He stroked Lin Qiye’s waist.

“Don’t worry, Qiye. I’ll be gentle.”

ᘻᘿᓍᘺ

Sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling window.

Lin Qiye groggily propped himself up, one hand supporting his forehead.

“Strange… why does my whole body feel sore?”

“I only dealt with dozens of Nanda Serpent Demons. Are the aftereffects of exercise really this bad?”

In the past, intense training had left his muscles aching.

So Lin Qiye didn’t pay much attention to the discomfort in his body.

It couldn’t possibly be that, without his knowledge, someone had done something to him, right?

Lin Qiye smiled and shook his head, dismissing the thought that had just surfaced in his mind.

He was a man, after all.

That thought was simply too absurd.

After tidying up briefly, Lin Qiye headed to the office at the Peace Affairs Office.

A middle-aged man was sitting in a chair smoking. When he saw Lin Qiye come in, he immediately stubbed out the cigarette.

Zhao Kongcheng slapped several photos onto the table, pictures of a man whose limbs had been nailed to a wall.

“Listen up, Lin Qiye. We’ve got a new case.”

“The owner of a bar reported it. Several victims were attacked by what appears to be an invisible entity and were nailed to the wall.”

Lin Qiye pulled out a chair and sat down, studying the corpses in the photos.

“All ten of their fingers were cut off. But looking at the wounds, something feels off.”

Zhao Kongcheng flicked his lighter and lit another cigarette.

“The bodies are in cold storage. In a bit, have Wen Qimo take you to examine them.”

“Old Zhao!” Hongying, standing at the office doorway, glared at Zhao Kongcheng in anger.

Beside her stood a black-haired young man with short hair.

Hongying strode forward, snatched the cigarette from Zhao Kongcheng’s hand, and crushed it out with her bare fingers.

“Smoking is strictly prohibited in the office. All your contraband is confiscated.”

She took the lighter as well.

Zhao Kongcheng wore a bitter expression.

“Hey, I just lit it. I hadn’t even taken a puff yet.”

The black-haired young man, Wen Qimo, spread his hands helplessly.

“Old Zhao, you knowingly broke the rule. I can’t help you.”

Zhao Kongcheng shot Wen Qimo a look of disappointed frustration.

“Don’t think I don’t know, you only listen to Hongying. If she tells you to go east, you wouldn’t dare go west.”

Wen Qimo replied righteously,

“So what if I do?”

Zhao Kongcheng let out a hiss.

“Heh, you brat.”

As Lin Qiye watched his teammates banter cheerfully, he felt a sense of warmth— yet at the same time, an inexplicable sense of unfamiliarity rose in his heart.

Suddenly, fragments flashed through his mind.

A rainy night.

He was holding Zhao Kongcheng, feeling the life in the person in his arms slip away before his eyes.

“Welcome General Zhao’s triumphant return!”

Just as Lin Qiye tried to think more deeply about it, he realized that the fragments he had just recalled slipped from his grasp no matter how hard he tried to remember.

Confusion flickered in his eyes.

Strange, what had he been thinking about just now?

Almost without realizing it, Lin Qiye reached out and grabbed Zhao Kongcheng’s hand.

Warm. Alive.

The unease in Lin Qiye’s heart gradually settled.

Zhao Kongcheng froze.

“Lin Qiye, why are you grabbing my hand?”

Lin Qiye didn’t know how to explain. “I…”

Zhao Kongcheng pulled his hand back in distaste.

“Two grown men acting all close like that, doesn’t it feel weird?”

Lin Qiye could only give an awkward smile.

He didn’t know why he had suddenly acted so strangely just now.

Wen Qimo broke the awkward atmosphere:

“Qiye, let’s go. We’ll take a look at the victims’ bodies.”

Lin Qiye stood up and grabbed the files on the table.

“Let’s go. You drive.”

Wen Qimo’s mouth twitched. “You really don’t hold back, do you?”

Lin Qiye didn’t respond.

Wen Qimo parked near the bar at the crime scene.

He pressed the brake.

“Qiye, it’s hard to park up ahead. You walk there. I need to buy some brown sugar water for Hongying, she’s on her period.”

Lin Qiye had no choice but to open the car door and get out.

The moment he stepped down, Wen Qimo immediately started the car and drove off, leaving a trail of exhaust behind.

Lin Qiye: …Was it really necessary to rush that much?

Squeak, squeak—

A little white mouse in a nearby alley was staring at Lin Qiye.

In a flash, the mouse disappeared.

After a while, the little white mouse returned, carrying a blue rose in its mouth and dropped it in front of Lin Qiye.

Surprise flickered in Lin Qiye’s eyes. Unsure, he asked,

“This flower… is it for me?”

The little mouse nodded its tiny head.

After a brief hesitation, Lin Qiye bent down and took the blue rose.

A gift from an animal, Lin Qiye found it quite amusing.

When he looked down again, the little white mouse had long since vanished.

Lin Qiye pinned the blue rose to his chest and walked toward the cold storage where the victims’ bodies were kept.

As he passed through the underground corridor, a janitor pushed a cart past him.

While passing by, the janitor accidentally bumped his shoulder, but Lin Qiye didn’t pay much attention.

Showing his credentials, Lin Qiye spoke:

“I’m here to examine the victims’ bodies.”

“Ah?” The coroner looked puzzled. “Weren’t the bodies just taken away by the relevant personnel?”

Lin Qiye paused for a moment.

“They were taken away…”

Suddenly, he remembered the janitor from earlier.

Not good.

That person was suspicious.

Lin Qiye dashed out of the building, just in time to see a masked individual stuffing a body bag into the trunk of a van and driving off.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Lin Qiye activated his Divine Domain ability and pursued the van.

Inside the van’s driver seat.

The man removed his mask, revealing a strikingly handsome, almost seductive face.

A little white mouse climbed onto his shoulder.

An Qingyu gently rubbed the mouse’s head and let out a soft laugh. “Well done, Snowball.”

Lin Qiye had received that blue rose.

The very blue rose that An Qingyu had personally cultivated in a laboratory dish.

It could remain in full bloom, beautiful and vibrant, for a full seven days without withering.

Through the rearview mirror, An Qingyu glanced at Lin Qiye.

“I’ll be waiting for you, Lin Qiye.”

“Caught by you, I’d do it willingly.”

He pressed the accelerator, and the van surged forward instantly.

With Lin Qiye’s intelligence, deducing his residence would pose no problem.

His Qiye was the smartest person in the world.

And also the one most in sync with him.

An Qingyu and Lin Qiye could align their thoughts perfectly, and their rhythm in bed matched just as well.

From body to soul, there was no one in the world more suited to Lin Qiye than him.
