The Grand Village of Kaelrith continued expanding at terrifying speed.

Construction never stopped anymore.

Even during the night, furnaces burned endlessly while workers carried stone, wood, and iron across the growing city.Full novel: GOT Kingdom Building System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

New districts expanded beyond the old walls while farms stretched farther into the plains with every passing month.

The six newly joined tribes were slowly integrating into Kaelrith life.

Some adapted quickly.

Others struggled.

But one thing remained obvious to everyone.

Kaelrith was changing people.

Children who once hunted with crude spears now watched blacksmiths forge steel tools.

Tribal hunters who had never seen coins before now traded in organized markets.

And for the first time in their lives— many people began asking questions.

How are roads built?

How do coins work?

How does medicine cure sickness?

How are stone houses made?

The people wanted knowledge.

And Kaelen understood something clearly now.

Kaelrith could no longer survive through strength alone.

It needed minds.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Kaelen stared at the screen silently.

A Hall of Knowledge.

Exactly what Kaelrith needed most right now.

Not another military reward.

Not weapons.

Not walls.

Knowledge.

Kaelen slowly smiled faintly.

The system truly rewarded civilization progression intelligently.

And honestly—

Kaelen liked this reward more than most of the others.

Because armies conquered lands.

But knowledge built empires.

The next morning, Kaelen immediately summoned the council.

Inside the large meeting hall, familiar faces gathered once again.

Lucian carried several administrative reports.

Mira looked exhausted as always.

Borin smelled strongly of smoke and metal.

Selene brought medical records.

Ragnar arrived late carrying food.

Again.

Kaelen ignored it.

“We need to discuss the future of Kaelrith.”

The room immediately became quiet.

Kaelen stood near the large window overlooking the city outside.

“Our population approaches twenty thousand.”

“We have laws.”

“Markets.”

“Medicine.”

“Roads.”

“Industry.”

He turned toward everyone slowly.

“But most of our people still cannot read.”

The room fell silent.

Lucian slowly nodded.

“He’s right.”

Kaelen continued calmly.

“If Kaelrith continues growing like this…”

Mira frowned slightly.

“Fail?”

Kaelen nodded.

“We cannot manage a civilization entirely through a few educated people.”

His eyes moved across the room.

“We need scholars.”

“Engineers.”

“Healers.”

“Architects.”

“Administrators.”

“Teachers.”

The room slowly understood where this discussion was going.

Kaelen’s voice became firmer.

“Knowledge must spread.”

Lucian’s eyes visibly brightened.

Finally— someone understood the true importance of education in this primitive world.

The scholar leaned slightly forward.

“You wish to build a learning center.”

Kaelen nodded.

“Not merely a small school.”

He pointed toward the expanding city outside.

“A true Hall of Knowledge.”

The words themselves carried weight.

Even Mira looked thoughtful now.

Kaelen continued:

“A place where children can learn.”

“Where books are preserved.”

“Where healers study medicine.”

“Where builders study engineering.”

“Where knowledge itself becomes part of Kaelrith.”

For several moments, nobody spoke.

Then surprisingly—

Ragnar spoke first.

“…Can soldiers study there too?”

Everyone looked at him in shock.

Ragnar immediately frowned.

“What?”

Kael snorted loudly.

“You want to read books now?”

Ragnar crossed his arms defensively.

“If reading makes soldiers smarter, then yes.”

Kaelen actually smiled slightly.

“Anyone in Kaelrith may study there.”

That answer changed the atmosphere immediately.

Because suddenly— the Hall of Knowledge no longer felt like a place only for scholars.

It belonged to everyone.

Construction began within days.

And naturally—

Mira nearly lost her sanity again.

“This building is enormous!”

Kaelen calmly looked over the blueprints.

“Yes.”

“We don’t need it enormous!”

“We do.”

Mira stared at him.

Then sighed heavily.

“…Fine.”

The chosen location stood near the center of Kaelrith, not far from the main market district.

Kaelen specifically wanted the Hall visible to everyone.

Knowledge should not hide behind walls.

It should stand proudly within civilization itself.

Thousands of workers participated in construction.

Stone columns were raised carefully while large windows were designed to allow natural light inside.

Massive shelves were constructed for books while large halls were created for teaching.

Even the new tribes became fascinated by the project.

One Frostfang tribesman asked Kaelen directly:

“My lord… why build such a massive place only for books?”

Kaelen answered calmly.

“Because books outlive people.”

The man didn’t fully understand.

But somehow— the answer still felt important.

Months passed.

And slowly— the Hall of Knowledge rose above the city.

The structure became one of the largest buildings in Kaelrith outside the fortress itself.

Tall white-gray stone walls reflected sunlight beautifully while large carved pillars supported the front entrance.

Inside: This story is hosted at g.com.

• reading halls

• teaching rooms

• archives

• medicine study areas

• engineering sections

• map rooms were all carefully organized.

Lucian nearly cried the first time he entered.

“This…”

He slowly looked around the endless shelves.

“…this is the beginning of civilization.”

Kaelen silently agreed.

The opening day of the Hall of Knowledge changed Kaelrith forever.

Thousands gathered outside the massive structure while banners moved through the wind.

Children stared openly at the enormous building with excitement and confusion.

Many had never even touched a book before.

Some adults looked nervous entering at all.

To primitive tribes, knowledge itself often felt sacred.

Kaelen stood atop the front steps while the people gathered below.

“This hall belongs to Kaelrith.”

His voice echoed across the crowd clearly.

“Not to nobles.”

“Not to rulers.”

“To everyone.”

The people listened silently.

“Children will learn here.”

“Healers will study here.”

“Builders will improve here.”

“Knowledge will grow here.”

His eyes swept across the crowd.

“And one day…”

“…Kaelrith will surpass every civilization that came before it.”

The people erupted into cheers.

Not because they fully understood.

But because they believed in him.

That night, after everyone left—

Kaelen stood alone inside the center chamber of the Hall of Knowledge.

The massive building remained silent beneath torchlight.

Rows upon rows of books surrounded him.

Then finally—

Kaelen activated the reward.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Hall of Knowledge Core Activated

Effects Applied:

• Learning efficiency increased

• Educational growth accelerated

• Knowledge preservation enhanced

• Scholarly development improved

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

For a brief moment, soft blue light spread invisibly throughout the entire structure.

The building itself felt different afterward.

Warmer.

Sharper somehow.

Alive.

Kaelen slowly looked around the hall.

Then toward the distant city outside the windows.

Roads.

Markets.

Industry.

Medicine.

Laws.

And now— education.

Civilization itself was truly beginning to rise within Kaelrith.

Yet despite the progress…

Kaelen’s thoughts eventually drifted north once again.

Toward the ancient gate hidden within the mountains.

Toward the civilization buried beneath time itself.

And deep inside his mind— one thought continued repeating endlessly.

Kaelrith still was not strong enough.
