“Everything is alright, sweetheart.

Grandpa is asking all of us to meet tonight for dinner.

Seems like he has an announcement to make,” Cristina said.Full novel: Got Roped Into A Marriage The Adopted Heiress Didn’t Want, Who Cares! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Is it anything about the business?

Is everything alright?

Did anything happen in the company?” Juliette asked frantically.

“Oh, my dear child.

Nothing like that.

Everything is fine.

I think he wants to talk about his shares.” Cristina laughed melodically.

“Oh.

Thank god.

I was really scared about daddy for a moment.

He has to work so hard as a CEO.

Every single scandal’s heat somehow comes to him, and he has to bear it all.” Juliette pouted.

“Yes, love.

Dad does hard work.

By the way, Dad is going to pick you up in a few minutes.

Pack your things up and wait for him at the entrance, ok?

Please be careful and don’t talk to any strangers,” Cristina warned her 23 year old baby.

“Ok, mumma.

Bye.” Juliette said cheerfully and cut the call.

She went back to her studio room and said to her fellow listeners who still were in the room,

“Guys, I’m sorry.

I have to leave immediately.

My grandpa is calling me for dinner.

He probably is missing me a lot and wants to spend some quality time with his granddaughter.”

She smiled fondly.

People got shocked by her words.

Arnold Ravenwood, the chairman of the ever-famous Carter Music Labels, is calling her for dinner.

Even if he was her grandfather, Arnold Ravenwood was a man who ruled the entertainment industry with an iron fist.

Any person who signed under his label was guaranteed a successful career, irrespective of type of artistry.

He was a man who was rumoured to be scary to his own family members.

It was rumoured that every single person walked in eggshells around him.

That Arnold Ravenwood had called Juliette for dinner because he was missing her?

“It’s Juliette.

Who can even hate her?” Everyone reasoned.

Juliette packed her bags quickly and went to the entrance gate.

It was raining and the weather was a bit chilly.

Juliette was freezing in the cold.

“Miss Juliette, are you alright?

Do you want me to bring you something to cover up?” The old security man spoke with concern.

“No need, Mr John.

Daddy will be picking me up soon.” Juliette smiled.

Just then, a 1982ish Cadillac Eldorado drove to the entrance.

The driver came out of the car with an umbrella and walked inside up to the gate.

“Daddy!” Juliette ran to her father and hugged the man.

“Honey!

Were you waiting for too long?

There was a lot of traffic on the route,” Tristan Ravenwood said.

“Nope!” Juliette giggled and continued, “Let’s go home.

Grandpa is waiting for us.”

The Ravenwood residency was bustling with preparation.

All the servants were preparing for the dinner.

Butler Nolan was losing his mind in the sudden preparations of the dinner.

He ordered every staff member to be alert and make no mistakes.

Every member of Ravenwood was a nutjob and extremely unpredictable.

“There must be no room for error.

It must be perfect.

Every single member of the Ravenwood family is going to attend.” He barked at the staff.

People started to enter slowly.

The first to enter was Iris Ravenwood, the eldest granddaughter of Arnold.

Along with her was Kiera Smith, her fiancée.

Both of them didn’t even speak to Butler Nolan and sat on their assigned seat.

They knew that whatever today’s dinner was about, it wasn’t anything concerning to them.

They were just here for the free gourmet food and live family drama.

The next to arrive were the second son of Arnold, Benjamin Ravenwood, and his wife, Alice Croft.

As soon as they entered, they started their usual drama.

“Butler Nolan, how is Father doing?” Benjamin asked.

“Is he taking his supplements regularly?” Alice asked before even Butler Nolan could reply.

“Is he getting his tests done?” Benjamin asked as soon as Alice finished.

“I have got some red ginseng that a Korean friend of mine suggested for my father-in-law.

Make sure to give it to him.” Alice shoved a box of red ginseng into Butler Nolan’s hands.

“Yes, his health should be a priority.

If he loses his health, Alice and I will be heartbroken.” Benjamin agreed with his wife.

“Yes, Butler Nolan.

Please take care of your health and our father-in-law!” Alice begged.

All this fanfare, all because of their marriage.

Benjamin and Alice married young and against the patriarch.

Though their marriage long has been accepted and favoured by Arnold, old habits die hard.

They still try to curry favour.

They always stay on eggshells around him.

“Mom.

Dad.

Give it a rest, will you?

Poor old Nolan is drowning in your eagerness,” Iris said.

The chattering could be heard clearly from the faraway dining hall.

Suddenly a loud Ducati Superleggera V4 drove wildly, drifting up to the entrance of the Ravenwood Residency mansion.

The servants all scattered in fear.

The young man riding the bike got out of the bike and tossed his bike keys to the nearest male servant and said, “Take this baby carefully to the garage.”

He was wearing a leather biker’s jacket with black ripped gothic jeans with silver chains and black Jordans.

He took out his helmet and told Butler Nolan, “Looks like I am early.”

“Welcome, 2nd young master Aiden.

Seems like you have dyed your hair red this time?” Butler Nolan bowed and asked.

“Yep, new concept for new album.

How is it, old man?” Aiden Ravenwood grinned playfully.

“You look like a mutt.” Iris reprovingly.

“Hello, older sis!

Your younger bro is here to take away sis Kiera.” Aiden provocatively said.

“You dare!” Iris raised her fists.

“Now, now, kids.

We are at Grandfather’s.

Let’s maintain decorum, shall we?” Alice smoothened over.

“My wife is the best and the most powerful person, after all.” Benjamin looked at his wife with admiration.

“Hump.” Iris strutted towards the dining hall to be next to her Kiera.

Aiden locked hands with his mother and entered the mansion.

He asked, “Are those people going to today, Mom?”

Alice was disgusted as soon as she remembered Cristina’s and her precious daughter’s face.

“That Juliette is coming too,” Alice said.

“Looks like Grandfather is planning something major.

Like someone’s marriage.

Wait, is he planning my marriage?

Mom, you know I can’t get married so early.

My female fans will rip any woman close to me apart.” Aiden said in a panic.

“Don’t worry, son.

If that’s the case, even if your father will do nothing, I will fight tooth and nail to ensure you marry someone you love.

You are my son.” Alice grinded her teeth with determination.
