Glancing at the two swords lying nearby, Kai walked over, picked them up, and tossed them toward Zoro, planting them into the ground in front of him.

Then use these.”Full novel: Grand Line Odyssey: The Scientist of the Straw Hat Crew — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“So what if you use Three Sword Style?!” Hatchan roared as he charged forward, all six blades swinging wildly.

“Let me show you the terrifying gap that humans with only two hands can never overcome!”

“Six Sword Style!”

Zoro said nothing.

He grabbed the two swords from the ground and twisted his body with perfect timing, slipping through every single attack from Hatchan.

In the next instant, his blades flashed.

“Three Sword Style: Oni Giri!”

Blood burst into the air as a massive X-shaped wound tore across Hatchan’s chest.

Hatchan’s face twisted with rage.

“How dare you look down on me?!

Damn it, now I’m really angry!”

“If you think about it, there’s no way three swords can beat six swords!”

Zoro glanced at him coldly.

In his mind flashed memories of the past.

Kuina.

Mihawk.

The promise he had sworn.

“I don’t care if you use six swords or sixty.

Every sword I carry has a different weight behind it.”

He carried the dream of becoming the world’s greatest swordsman.

Watching Zoro’s condition, Kai figured there was nothing to worry about anymore.

The injuries were still serious, but defeating Hatchan would not be a problem.

Besides, he still had several all-purpose healing patches in his pocket.

Once the fight ended, he could patch Zoro up.

Turning away from their battle, Kai looked toward the fight between Luffy and Arlong.

The two had already smashed their way into the ruins and were now battling atop the highest pile of debris.

From the looks of it, Luffy clearly had the upper hand.

“Damn it!” Arlong snarled through gritted teeth.

“If I could just find my weapon, that bastard…”

He glared toward Kai, who was sitting on a rock nearby with an annoyingly calm smile on his face.

Arlong felt his blood pressure rising.

Why the hell did this lunatic blow up his building first?!

Wasn’t he supposed to attack people before destroying property?!

“The hell are you looking at?!” Luffy shouted.

His arm stretched back before snapping forward with explosive force.

“Gum-Gum Pistol!”

Boom!

The punch smashed directly into Arlong’s face and sent him flying completely out of Arlong Park, crashing into the open ground outside.

“I’m leaving this place to you guys!”

“Got it.

No problem,” Kai replied with a nod.

Luffy beating Arlong was never in doubt.

Especially now that Arlong had lost his weapon.

Kai then leaned toward the hole in the wall and called outside,

“Hey, Sanji!

You still able to stand?”

“If not, I’ll finish your opponent for you.”

“Wait!” Sanji instantly sprang back to his feet.

“Like hell I’m letting you steal all the spotlight!”

This opponent was his.

This was his first real battle after joining the Straw Hat Pirates.

“You really believe he can beat me?” Kuroobi sneered as he watched Sanji stagger back inside.

“Then watch carefully.”

“I’m going to beat him to death with my own fists!”

A cruel grin spread across Kuroobi’s face.

“Hope you don’t regret it.”

“Regret?” Kai shook his head.

“I never regret anything.

I trust him.”

Because that was Sanji.

As Sanji stepped back into Arlong Park, he locked eyes with Kai.

The two exchanged a faint smile.

Men did not need many words.

One look was enough.

Sanji pulled out another cigarette, lit it, and took a slow drag.

“I’m not giving you another chance.”

“Oh?” Kuroobi cracked his knuckles and turned toward him.

“You really think you can beat me?”

“The attack that sent you flying earlier was only my Hundred Tile True Punch.”

“My ultimate technique is the Thousand Tile True Punch!”

“Your chances of surviving are zero!”

Listening to Kuroobi boast so proudly made veins bulge on Sanji’s forehead.

This bastard was really getting on his nerves.

In an instant, Sanji disappeared forward and whipped a brutal kick into Kuroobi’s side.

“Collier!”

Kuroobi slammed into the ground before Sanji followed with a relentless storm of kicks, never giving him a moment to breathe.

“Shoulder Meat!”

“Flank Meat!”

“Thigh Meat!”

The barrage completely overwhelmed Kuroobi.

By the time he staggered upright again, his vision was spinning so badly he could barely see.

Sanji did not waste another second.

He vanished again.

This time, he aimed to finish it.

“Mutton Shot!”

His heavy kick smashed straight into Kuroobi’s face, launching him through the air and deep into the ruins, where he crashed unconscious.

At the same time, Zoro unleashed his own finishing attack.

“Tornado!”

The slash tore through Hatchan, covering him in blood before sending him crashing into the water below, disappearing beneath the surface.

After that final strike, Zoro let the extra swords fall from his hands.

He sheathed the Wado Ichimonji and collapsed onto the ground.

He truly had no strength left.

Kai sighed helplessly.

“You really pushed yourself.”

“Sanji, go check on Usopp.”

“Got it.” Sanji nodded.

He understood the situation well.

A sniper caught in close combat could easily be killed.

Kai walked over to Zoro, lifted him up in his arms, and carried him outside.

“Hey, hey, hey!

Carrying me like this is seriously embarrassing!” Zoro protested weakly.

Even if he had no strength left, he was still fully conscious.

“Quit whining.

Your wounds could reopen and kill you,” Kai replied irritably.

“Once we’re outside, I’ll put some of my special healing ointment on you.

Your injuries should recover pretty quickly.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Then thanks.”

Still, Zoro’s eyes were full of suspicion.

Was this bomb-crazy lunatic secretly a doctor too?

Seeing that doubtful expression, Kai gave him a very gentle smile.

“Relax.

You probably won’t die.”

“Probably…?”

Zoro suddenly regretted everything.

Would he even live long enough to see tomorrow’s sunrise?
