”Heal her,” Elora commanded, her gaze falling on the dwindling mana stones.
She closed her eyes and waited.
Nalia hurriedly summoned the healer.
When the man entered the room and saw the queen, he paled, remembering the maid she had punished without evidence.
Seeing Her Highness’s pale form on the ground, and from experience, he knew Instantly she had been crippled.
Fear gripped his heart.
If even the queen’s royal aunt was not left unpunished, then who was he?
”Y-y-your Majesty,” He stammered, bowing so low his back nearly touched the floor.
Elora waved him off and eyed him with curiosity, wondering if this poor man was all right, and why he was shaking so badly.
She looked at Nalia, wondering if she had brought in a sick healer.
Nalia felt the queen’s questioning gaze on her and looked at the man with a frown; she kept in mind to ask the butler to bring in another healer; how could a healer not heal himself?
They both assumed he was sick and his job was gone just like that.
The man was unaware of this and straightened his back when he saw the queen wave him to stand.
”Heal her,” Nailia instructed.
Bowing, he moved to Rose squatted down, and pulled out his pen.
Casting a spell, an orange glow with wisps of green surrounded Rose, gradually restoring her.
Healers are known as wood elementals; some venture into the act of healer, others into other job descriptions of their choice.
After twenty minutes, Rose’s pale skin had a healthy glow to it, and her eyes fluttered open, she hoped for all of this to be a nightmare, but seeing the place she was, her eyes lost their light.
Her heart squeezed painfully from regret, wishing to turn back time.
Unless she was an Ascended mage but that was impossible.
Elora watched the last mana stone go in, and she saw it was exactly six hundred billion stones.
”Send her out.
From now on she’s banned from entering the castle.” Elora decreed.
”Yes, Your Majesty.” The two guards responded and a shadow appeared and dragged Rose away.
Elora wasn’t stunned by the shadow guards present, she could feel the woman’s presence after she was assassinated on the first day here.
It seems to be one of the elite guards tasked to guard her.
Thorn was surprised for a split second before he regained himself; it was nothing new to him, only the guards skillfully hiding her breath and aura seamlessly that caught his attention.
The shadow guard dragged Rose away, moving silently down into the dungeon.
They descended winding stone stairs, Rose’s figure slumped in the guard’s grip.
Stopping in front of the iron magic runes drawn door, she tapped on it.
The door crept open, inside the room had a musty smell, dim from lack of light and chilly cold.
As she moved inside, she passed through the empty cages and continued walking deeper; the room was empty of people.
Stopping in front of a wall drawn with a magic circle, she stopped; this was the very edge of the room.
She brought out a key, from her dimensional bag.
The iron key has hand runes drawn over it.
She placed it in front of the wall, the magic circle lit up together with the runes drawn, she turned the key like she was opening a door.
Immediately the wall light opened turning into a water-like screen, she walked through and the door turned to normal.
As the woman passed through, an icy wind cut into her face like knives, making it hurt and waking Rose up from her daze, her eyes shrank when she saw where she was.
The infamous icy cave.
The cave spanned through countless empty cells, and the cave floor was covered in ice, with crystal lighting up the way.
Layers of ice formed on her body, and her body trembled badly from cold and fright.
”S-s-she said y-y-you can’t kill me.” Rose’s teeth clattered as she struggled to form words from the cold biting into her skin.
But she was met with silence, as they moved deeper into the cave, they passed three people chained up, these were the three nobles that were punished by the queen three days ago in the throne room.
A whipped battered woman was slumped on the icy floor, her body blue from cold, her lips trembling, with her eyes fully shot.
Rose’s eyes shrank in shock when she recognized the familiar women, the two other trembling women, had their hope destroyed when they saw Her Highness Rose sent into this place.
The guard in charge of the cave walked towards the shadow woman and motioned with her hands to Rose.
”She’s charged with the crime of attempting to murder the queen.
Twenty barbed whips but keep her barely alive.” The woman told the guard of Rose’s crimes.
A creepy smile bloomed on the guard’s face, ”don’t worry she will survive.” Her creepy words chilled Rose to the core, she could sense the guard’s sadistic nature through her smile.
Rose was dropped to the floor, she immediately tried to crawl away but she was frozen in her tracks, cold vapour came out of her mouth as she breathed heavily from fear.
The cold entering her lungs, made her tear up from pain, which was frozen instantly as it left her eyes.
The shadow guard turned to the other two women, ”We have gotten their respective cities under the queen’s control.
It’s time for their death.
I will call two guards to come collect their severed heads.
Make sure you torture their crime away from their lips and in writing.” Her tone was flat with no emotional fluctuation on her face as she talked about their death in their presence.
”Please bring me to the queen!”
”I’m ready to confess, I was forced into this!”
The woman called out, it finally dawned on them there was no hope of saving them, but it was already too late.
Their screams were ignored by the two women.
The shadow guards nodded to the guard as she left, as soon as she reached the entrance wall, she could hear blood-curdling screams coming from behind her, she didn’t stop in her tracks and continued moving forward.
