–Caia–
I woke up with his arms around me.
He was breathing softly against my neck.
But seeing those big hands and the bandage on his left arm made me realize that I was safe.
I turned to him slowly and kissed his lips.
I knew that this was just a contract—a year-long contract of just fucking.
But I wanted his protection, and I had it.
“Hmm,” he mumbled.
“Are you hungry?”
“A little.”
“Then, we still have time to make love.”
I just nodded.
He could have me all he wanted.
It wasn’t only because of the contract.
I liked it, too.
“It’s cold,” I whispered as he reached for the remote and turned off the air conditioner.
He pulled me close, kissing my face and making me lose myself in the moment.
Before long, we were making love again.
Afterward, I took my morning pills.
Then, I put his shirt back on and headed out.
I froze when I saw his secretary in the kitchen with breakfast laid out.
The two of them were speaking Russian in whispers, sounding like they were arguing.
But I couldn’t catch up.
“What’s going on?” I asked as I approached them.
I had to be cautious since I wasn’t wearing any underwear, and I looked down at my chest, making sure I was covered.
“I’m going to the office.
I’ll set up a driver for you, Miss Caia, wherever you want to go.
As for Mr.
A…” He even emphasized that Mr.
A.
“He needs to go to the office.”
“Oh, fuck.
Tell my father to deal with that.”
Mr.
A reached for my hand and pulled out a chair for me.
“Whatever.” Matt walked out.
“A driver?” I asked him.
“Yes, baby.
How about treating your sisters to shopping?
I got a card…”
“I have money,” I said quickly.
“Yes, yes.” He kissed my head.
“We’ll go after another round, Caia.
You are still fucking tight.”
I laughed and shrugged.
He reached my breasts and gently squeezed it.
I winced.
But he was gentle.
And my boobs feel a little firm.
I smacked his hand away.
“Let’s eat.”
I took my time eating just to piss him off.
He had a lot of calls coming in while I took my time getting ready for shopping.
Just a plain dress.
Nothing too flashy.
I put on sunscreen and light makeup.
“Baby, are you done?” he asked, his voice low as he watched me the entire time.
“Hmm, I can’t find shoes.” I smirked as he rolled his eyes, picking one that best suited my dress.
He put it on me, like Cinderella.
But no, he was just annoyed.
He nearly dragged me out of the house, but instead, he carried me over his right shoulder.
He spoke to someone over the phone in Russian.
Probably his mother, scolding him.
I tapped his back, telling him to put me down, but he didn’t.
When a car stopped in front of us, he finally put me down and opened the door.
I hopped in as he closed the door and sat in front, giving commands.
“What’s going on?” I asked.
“Just an emergency, Princess.”
We stopped in front of an office.
I peeked at the big building.
He walked out of the car, opened the door for me, and kissed my lips.
“I’ll meet you later.”
I nodded as he closed the door.
I held my purse as I looked at the driver.
“On our way to your sister’s apartment, Miss Caia.”
I nodded.
It was in another city.
But when we arrived there, I rushed upstairs to find my sisters nearly crying.
They hugged me as I hugged them back.
“I heard what happened last night.” Lilith cried, and Agatha started hiccupping.
“So, Mom really sold you?”
I only nodded.
“I’m safe.
Nothing else happened.” I held their hands.
“So, are we up for shopping?” I asked.
The two-story house was wide enough, with four bedrooms, a big kitchen, a big living room, and three bathrooms.
I didn’t hesitate to pay for it.
I was planning on buying something more beautiful and comfortable for them.
Once Lilith was on track with her studies, I would give her more allowance.
I never reached college at all.
Just high school.
I had always dreamed of going to a big university abroad—an expensive school that my dad had promised me.
But this time, I needed to fulfill that dream for my siblings.
–Aamon–
I looked at my father, who was glaring at me.
He might have found out something, but I was hoping that he wouldn’t find out that I bought Caia at an auction.
“You fucking lose this shipment?”
“I didn’t.
I retrieved it,” I told him.
He sighed.
“Well, maybe next time, don’t fucking lose it,” he grumbled, speaking in pure Russian.
I just farted whatever he was saying.
Not really sinking it into my head.
My mind was on Caia—her shopping plan with her siblings and last night’s incident.
I was still searching for those bastards.
That syndicate that sold organs and trafficked women and children.
Our empire might be an underground, illegal shitshow, but we weren’t into human trafficking.
Maybe we extorted government officials who were part of that shitty business.
We had more creative ways to get money.
We had legal businesses, which were now being run by my father.
I secured his image while I worked to raise our empire—training assassins, creating more firearms, and, most importantly, doing cleanup work besides having assassins and mercenaries.
We also had hackers on standby for our daily operations.
“What happened last night?” he asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.
“Last night?” I raised my brows.
“Yes.” He exhaled.
“Well, I just killed those bastards who tried to rape and kidnap her,” I said.
“I’m so fucking pissed that I killed them right away.
I mean, it’s my fault for not torturing them first.”
“Did you fucking leave evidence?” he asked.
“Of course not.” I chuckled.
That room was so clean.
Even the things that Caia left behind had already been given to the old man.
As for my room, I also gave the furniture there to that old man.
I had my men help him.
I mean, if Caia was that kind to the man, then maybe a little help would do.
She didn’t have to know.
“I’m going now.” I stood.
“Also, about that landlady?
I’ll make sure that she won’t speak.”
“You left a witness?” Dad frowned, his teeth gritted.
“She’s the one who let those bastards in.
Don’t worry.
I had it handled.”
“Fuck!” He shouted.
“I’m tracking Celestina.
She’s working with a syndicate now.”
I raised my brows, looking up at my father.
“Not a gang but a syndicate?” I scoffed.
“That bitch.”
I still couldn’t figure out how Celestina managed to work with them and sell her daughters.
From what I knew, Uncle Eric had already cut off that kind of work.
And no, he was against human trafficking.
He had three daughters.
“I’ll try to deal with that.”
“You are going back to Russia.
Check our business there,” he commanded.
I creased my brows.
“Shit,” I muttered.
I didn’t want to be fucking away from my Caia, not even for one second.
“Fix the mess in there,” he added again.
“How about Caia?” I asked.
“I have to be with her.”
“Just assign bodyguards and a driver, dumbass,” he scolded.
I knew that my dad always cursed at me.
We talked like that, and that was our love language.
“Fine, whatever.”
I stood and left his office.
I headed to the elevator and pulled out my phone to check on my little bunny.
She was currently in the same mall, a luxury one, treating her siblings.
They had two bodyguards with them just to make sure that the siblings were safe.
I worked while monitoring her location, watching her through the cameras in the mall.
Ah, she looked so beautiful and luscious.
I wanted her all to myself.
But then, I didn’t want anyone to see how beautiful she was.
It was just ironic that I had found her dancing in the club that night.
It was her first night, just to make fast money.
I wasn’t impressed by her choice, but what could I say?
She was doing it to survive, and I wanted to gouge out all those men’s eyes who were watching her dance in that pool.
I bought that club to monitor her and make sure the owner would never touch her again.
