–Caia–

I feel uncomfortable going out clubbing.

I am wearing a white silk mini dress with that low V neckline and a string tied around my nape.Full novel: Guardian Devil: His Obsessive Oath — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The rest is backless down to my lower back.

But it’s better, and it looks good on me.

The dress length is a few inches above my legs.

I have long legs, and I think it’s quite short.

Anna and I went to the elevator by the lobby.

A handsome man, still in a suit, was on his phone, speaking in a low voice.

His lips moved like he was bored all the time, and his eyes were sharp.

But when he looked at me, his eyes widened, and his lips curled into that sexy smirk, like he was already thinking of making use of those lips between my legs.

I approached him as he reached for my hand and kissed my knuckles.

He spoke in crisp Italian and hung up.

He stood, towering over me, as his hands went to my hips.

“My girlfriend is just so gorgeous.”

Girlfriend?

My eyes widened as I stared up at him.

“You are mine, Caia,” he whispered and kissed my earlobe.

“Hmm.” I closed my eyes as I inhaled his scent.

So masculine.

A hint of woody scent, and that pinch of I-don’t-know-what… He just smelled good.

“Let’s go, lovebirds,” Matt called out as I looked at the couple, their hands intertwined.

Anna looked like a fucking model.

He placed his hand on my back as he led me out.

Outside was a sedan—not like a limousine, but not that long either.

He let me in first as I slid to the other side.

Across from us were Matt and Anna, with a wide space in the middle.

The two were already making out like we didn’t exist.

I looked away as I felt Mr.

A’s hand across my other knee.

I turned to him, moving closer, but his other hand was on the phone.

Calling someone in another language.

Just how many languages can he speak?

He slid his phone into the pocket of his suit coat.

He reached for my chin and kissed my lips.

“So beautiful,” he murmured.

“My little bunny.”

He caressed a few strands of my hair by the side of my temple from my messy bun.

My phone vibrated as I looked away from him and checked my purse.

My eyes widened upon realizing that I had missed the family dinner.

I quickly texted my Aunt, telling her that I was late working, which was half a lie.

But I think dating this guy is work.

She responded shortly.

Aunt Vivi: It’s alright, darling.

Aamon also said that he’s not going to the family dinner.

Perhaps next month?

“Zayka…” he murmured as he reached for my chin and kissed my lips.

“Hey, let’s slow it down,” Matt murmured as I wanted to roll my eyes at him.

They were the ones who were making out like crazy.

Anna started checking her lipstick and even handed Matt a tissue.

Mr.

A, on the other hand, remained a good boy by only placing a hand on my knee.

Finally, the car stopped in front of a luxury club.

The doors were opened for us as he slid out first and held out his hand for me, even placing a hand under the hood of the car so I wouldn’t bump my head.

We headed inside through a VIP entrance.

Matt and Anna went in first as we followed.

His hand on my other waist tightened as I was pulled closer.

He looked around, and somehow, I felt safe around him.

I always did, even the first time he booked a private session with me at that club.

He didn’t want me to dance for him.

He even killed someone to protect me.

I wonder what else he can do.

My mind raced at the thought that he belonged to a MAFIA.

We headed to a VIP section by the balcony.

A private waitress and waiter served us drinks with little finger food.

I sat next to him, too close.

There were ladies who had already been eyeing him for a while.

He took out a stainless-steel box, and before I understood what he was doing, he took out a cigar.

He clipped it and reached for the lighter.

He froze and looked at me.

“Don’t you like me smoking, baby?” His voice was deep and so fucking sexy that it made my hormones rage for him.

“It looks sexy on you, but it’s not healthy for you.”

He laughed as he pulled me by the waist, still holding the cigar between his fingers.

“You make me hard right now,” he murmured.

“How about this?

Since I look sexy with it, I’ll hold it.”

He pulled me up from his right side and placed me over his left lap.

His legs were wide open, with mine close between them.

I pressed my hand against his chest, his shirt open four buttons down to reveal those fine muscles.

And that bunny tattoo on his chest.

I had seen it many times.

That’s what he calls me, but I don’t really know what it means.

“I’ll go to the ladies’ room.”

“I’ll join you.”

“No, I’m fine.”

I stood and kissed his lips.

He grinned and reached for my waist.

I picked up my purse and headed to the bathroom.

I took my time in line for the cubicle while retouching my makeup.

“Have you seen that good-looking, dangerous guy?” the girls chattered.

“I heard that he’s Aamon Ivankov.

He owns the place.

Lots of places around here.”

Aamon?

I stared at them, and when they noticed me, I quickly averted my eyes.

Kuya Aamon is here?

I quickly went to the vacant cubicle.

I took my time before heading back out, wanting to tease Mr.

A further.

I just liked teasing him.

I headed out and smiled upon seeing him, with a cigar between his fingers, still holding it without lighting it.

“Oh, nice!” I heard drunk men behind me, followed by a smack on my bottom.

I gasped and turned to them.

I hit the bastard with my purse, but they only laughed.

“I bet she’s not wearing anything under,” the man who had probably slapped me laughed.

They froze when they noticed the shadow behind me as Mr.

A placed a hand on my waist.

He gently pushed me aside and punched the bastard square in the face.

I froze as he pushed the man down and continued hitting him.

His body radiated aggression—a deadly kind of aggression—but his face remained cold, almost nonchalant.

There was something unhinged in that expression that made me shudder.

“Stop!” I shouted and hugged him from behind.

I didn’t care if I was nearly thrown aside, but he couldn’t kill a man in front of so many people.

He got up and turned to me.

His murderous glare softened as he lowered his face and reached for mine.

Bouncers arrived swiftly to take the men away.

He turned to the man in the suit, waiting for a command.

“Ya khochu ego ruki,” he said like it was an order.

My eyes widened.

His hand?

He wanted his hand?

“A, just—”

“Shh.”

He pulled me back to our seat as Matt handed out wet wipes.

He pulled me onto his lap, his hand resting firmly on my waist.

“You can’t do that,” I hissed at him.

“You’ll have more enemies if you do that.”

“I have a lot of enemies, my love.

Not even a drunk man can touch you.” He kissed my hair.

“This is a bummer,” Anna sighed.

“Matt, let’s go to the dance floor.”

I watched as Anna and Matt left.

I leaned closer to him as I felt the anger still radiating from his chest.

I rubbed his bare chest to calm him, and slowly, he began to relax.

I felt his hand on my thigh as I smirked.

But what happened a while ago had indeed made me angry at that man.

If I didn’t have a protector, I might have thought about hurting him myself.

But now I had Mr.

A, who protected me in his own crazy way.

His breath hitched.

“Fuck,” he grumbled as I looked up at him.

He pulled his coat over my lap.

“You are bare?” he murmured in my ear.

“I just removed it a while ago.” I grinned as I teased him further.

He chuckled as he stared at me, his expression changing into that familiar, dangerous smile.

“Baby, you are driving me crazy,” he whispered.

I leaned closer, my body aching for his touch.

“A, please…”

“Please, what?” He smirked, teasing me.

I pouted at him.

“Don’t do this, please.”

He laughed, his voice so damn low that it vibrated through me.

“I hate you,” I muttered, pretending to be annoyed.

He held me still, his smile widening.

“I hate it when you tease me like this.”

I looked up at him, and despite my frustration, I couldn’t stop myself from smiling.

“A,” I whispered.

His eyes darkened as he pulled me closer, his lips meeting mine and silencing whatever else I was about to say.

Somehow, being close to him, burning from his touch, made me forget about the pain in my chest.

The pain of losing my father.

The pain of my mother’s betrayal.

The pain of being left behind.
