I know that the story is going slow.
One of yall pointed out how the [shop] doesn’t get used a whole lot.
This is true at this point in the story.
Everything in it is expensive, and Leon just spent 11ish years completely unable to use it due to a lack of OP.
The system isn’t meant to solve all of his problems.
That being said.
Some stuff will change when he reaches 10 Realms.
Though he hasn’t reached that point in the story so far.
In my main draft, he’s up to 9.
Leon’s first day on summer break was spent preparing for a deep delve into a cave full of Inferi.
He hadn’t focused the flame magic in the Destructions School.
Shock was where it was at after all.
But the biggest weakness of Inferi was flame.
The basic [Flame] concentration spell was actually more than enough.
When channeled through his wand, Leon’s [Flame] spell was like a 50 foot long pillar of flame blasting out of the end of his wand.
He’d tested it in Coldharbour and found that his basic [Flame] spell could heat up a sheet of steel that an inch thick to a cherry red heat in about 5 seconds.
He should probably rename the spell to something like [disintegration beam] when it was channeled through his wand.
The Inferi wouldn’t stand a chance.
But Leon still took the time to prepare.
On top of brushing up on his fire magic, Leon commissioned the Goblin Dremora to forge him a full suit of armor.
He got bit by that tiny acromantula because of carelessness back then.
This time, going into a combat situation, Leon was making absolutely certain that he didn’t get hurt.
The armor would take about a week to make, and it would be rather heavy for Leon’s Earthly Avatar… Leon had kind of skipped out on exercise.
He needed to rectify that.
The better he was at base, the more he would get out of each of his stats.
He had investigated supplements, both magical and mundane.
And thinking about it, Leon decided to order everything and hand it over to the house elves at the Hogwarts kitchen and tell them to only serve him food made with what he’d given them.
Another note in his notebook.
In the days leading up to his armor being completed, Leon wrote letters to the Weasley’s and Harry.
While also reviewing the areas that he had flubbed on his tests and tackling the rest of his summer homework.
Leon’s parents had also scheduled retreats for their employees that Leon needed to convert in Dremora.
But that wouldn’t be until the final weeks of July.
So much to do, so little time.
Leon would use the time bubble in the Room of Hidden things.
But he didn’t want to age up his Avatar prematurely.
Plus, it would be rather suspicious if he snuck into Hogwarts over the summer break.
Another thing that Leon discovered was that the Goblin society that was raised to worship him produced significantly more OP while they were awake.
But the system obviously nerfed the gain in a huge way.
The biggest contribution that any Goblin could make was Sacrificing something to him.
Whether it was an object they made or a blood sacrifice changed the amount of OP it generated.
The problem was that the numbers were not adding up.
Daily, Leon was gaining anywhere between fifteen and twenty thousand OP from the Goblins.
But that was from nearly nine hundred thousand Goblins living as pious observers of the religion.
Still, in the past week, Leon had built up more OP than he had ever had all at once before.
And he had enough to invest into his Magical schools at the Novice Tier.
Plus he could add a few mundane skills into that to add to his portfolio.
He was thinking of getting Drawing and Painting up to the Grandmastery level, between the two of them, it would cost a total of 8.4k OP.
But he felt like it would be worth it based on how Calligraphy had turned out.
Sitting down and opening his [Shop], Leon queued up all of his purchases, Mysticism(Novice-10k), Destruction(Novice-10k), Alteration(Novice-10k), Conjuration(Novice-10k), Restoration(Novice-10k), Illusion(Novice-10k), Enchanting(Novice-10k), Alchemy(Novice-10k), Painting(Novice-200), Painting(Adept-400), Painting(Journeymen-600), Painting(Expert-800), Painting(Master-1k), Painting(Grandmaster-1.2k), Drawing(Novice-200), Drawing(Adept-400), Drawing(Journeymen-600), Drawing(Expert-800) Drawing(Master-1k), and Drawing(Grandmaster-1.2k).
Total cost = 88,400 OP Purchase?
Y/N
Leon smiled at the fact that he had more than enough to make these purchases.
Not only did he have more than enough, it would only take a mere week to afford this kind of purchase again with his current Point income.
Though, the next tier in the schools of magic, Adept, would cost a whopping 100k per school.
Journeymen was a million.
And grandmaster for some reason broke the mold completely at 999 Billion OP.
Leon was almost afraid of how much the prices would jump for Unnamed Realms.
They started at 1 million, and he couldn’t see the price for the next one until he purchased it.
Leon shook himself and pressed the Y to accept his purchase.
Then immediately collapsed into his chair like a puppet who’d just had his strings cut.
Novice tier of a school of magicka turned out to be about two year’s worth of education in that particular school.
The same went for Enchanting and Alchemy.
Covering everything that the Basics had covered and more on top of that.
Leon’s mind was completely overwhelmed as 16 whole years of magicka education, skill practice and muscle memory was ingrained into his very being.
And it wasn’t just to the level that a couple of years of studying in the College of Winterhold would have been.
It was a complete study of those topics, as if everyone in the Elder Scrolls universe had gotten together and compiled all of their knowledge to create a training regime that encompassed the totality of those subjects.
Then on top of that, Leon had what amounted to probably a couple of centuries of information and muscle memory added in for Painting and Drawing.
Color Theory, Rules of Perspective, Golden Proportions, and incredibly detailed knowledge of the human, elf, orc, argonian, and even giant anatomy.
Collapsed and drooling on himself, Leon didn’t regain his senses for over an hour.
His mind churning through magical equations, theorems, algorithms, color matches, brushstrokes, shading techniques, and every other little thing that had just been permanently and indelibly burned into the very fabric of his being.
When he finally managed to sit upright and shakily wipe the drool from his face.
He cautiously pulled out his notebook and wrote in an unsteady hand, “Make all purchases separately.”
“Dear Gods.” Leon muttered to himself as he became more composed.
Reviewing what he now understood about his Magicka, Leon knew how to improve across the board.
He hadn’t gained any new spells.
But he knew exactly how to manipulate his Magicka and produce a significantly broader range of spells than the neatly packaged ones that he had been given as part of The Basics.
The sheer breadth and depth of his new understanding of Magicka made him realize that his self-invented [Thunderbolt] spell was wildly inefficient and dangerous for his own use.
Not just the lack of protection against its side effects, Leon’s version of [Thunderbolt] was inherently unstable, and it was a miracle that he hadn’t blown himself up with the spell.
Aside from that, Leon now had so many ideas for different applications of enchanting.
He had known the very basics of it all.
He even knew dozens of specific enchantments.
But now he was aware of the possibilities in full.
He had lots of ideas now.
He could make a Soul Anchor that could house dozens of souls and continuously extract Magicka from them to power enchantments of greater complexity and power requirements.
Not all enchantments were bound in place and made permanent through binding a soul to it.
He could lay down complex arrays of enchantments to achieve dozens of effects through runic engravings and power them with souls through energy channels.
Golems, flying ships, and so many more effects could be achieved.
And he was barely scratching the surface.
Leon already knew exactly what his next purchases with OP were going to be.
Enchanting, and every crafting skill he could afford.
Leon could just imagine the possibilities.
Magical Power Armor, magical spaceships, towering Ebony Golems.
The possibilities were endless.
Limited only by his imagination and the extent to which he mastered enchanting and crafting.
He had only purchased the very first tier of all this knowledge.
And now, Leon couldn’t wait to start with some of the stuff he had just learned.
It was almost enough that he forgot what he was preparing for.
The fight with the Inferi was what took precedence at the moment.
No matter how much he wanted to start delving into creating enchanted goods.
Though he did now know how to improve his anti-Legilimens enchantment now and he was going to do it.
Morty-1 had figured out how to bypass the defenses, though he couldn’t do it without a wand.
Leon didn’t trust that the Mortys were the only powerful mind readers.
So he was going to double down on the defensive enchantments.
He was certain that he could at least double, if not triple the defensive power of his enchantments now.
Which wasn’t saying much.
His current enchanted necklace only had a rating of about 2% to 5% for each of its functions.
He was certain about getting it up to 10%.
Which should be drastically more effective than what was currently around his neck.
Fortunately, Leon didn’t have to go through the trouble of making a new necklace or anything.
He just grabbed his shoes and decided to enchant them.
Unlike in the games, however, shoes counted as two individual items.
Leon enchanted both of them with [Spell Reflection], [Spell Absorption] and [Resist Magic], synchronizing them to work at the same wavelengths as his necklace so that they wouldn’t interfere with each other and would function as a triple layer of defense.
With that done, Leon’s mind was more secure than it had ever been from outside intrusion.
Not for his protection, but for the sanity of the witches, wizards, and potential telepaths that exist out there.
It was now time to check in on his smiths.
They were making him the finest of Goblin Silver Plate Armor that they were capable of.
Enchanted with Goblin methods that were more akin to Alchemy than enchanting.
They guaranteed that the armor would be able to resize and keep up with his growth for at least two years.
But after that they would need to make another set.
Speaking of the Goblin Smiths.
They were having a field day with all of their experiments using Ebony from the mines in Coldharbour.
They didn’t use it in the armor because it was too heavy for Leon’s small frame.
But they were practically in love with the black metal.
It soaked up their enchantments even better than their special silver alloy did, was nearly twice as strong, retained a better edge, and they had an infinite supply of the stuff in the mines.
The Silvers were particularly fond of Ebony for their Gauntlets.
Leon arrived at the infernal forges of Coldharbour where the Goblin Dremora were busy as ever.
They bustled around, hauling ores to the giant smelteries and moving refined ingots of materials into the forges for use.
Wood, leather, and other materials were being imported from the Hunting Grounds for complete craftsmanship.
Leon approached the High Forge, where the most skilled of his smiths were working relentlessly to produce armor and weapons for their kin who would join their armies.
Smiths of the highest order.
And they were jointly working on something that was obviously not part of his armor.
Though that wasn’t important as he could see his completed armor on a display stand in the corner of the forge.
“Durbgash, Muzgund, Vrirok!” Leon called out as he stepped towards his armor.
It was a shining polished silver.
Looking almost exactly like a mini version of the countless armors that lined Hogwarts’ various halls.
“Ah master!
You come for the armor?” Durbgash said as the three smiths set aside the glowing piece of metal they had been hammering in unison.
Muzgund stepped over to the armor and taped its helm, “It is enchanted for durability, lightness, and silence.
Along with the standard self-fitting and easy-equip enchantments.
Goblin Silver, obviously.
The Aketon and chausses are made of a combination of Acromantula silk, woven through with silver threads, and Graphorn leather.
Their enchantments are the same as the plate, but without the silence and added temperature control.”
Leon nodded appreciatively before asking, “Do you want to see what I am going to do with it?
I’m going to be adding to it a bit.”
“Yes Master!” all three of the Goblins looked positively thrilled to see him do something crafting related.
Leon walked up to the armor and pulled it off the stand, arranging it into its individual parts.
Enchanting a full set of Plate armor was interesting using Elder Scrolls methods.
Each of the Main Components of the Armor needed to be enchanted individually.
And they didn’t all have to be the same enchantments.
Enchanted Plate armor in the games was heavily nerfed compared to the real deal.
A full suit of plate armor begins at the head and neck with a protective helmet and a throat-guarding gorget.
Moving down, the torso is encased in a rigid cuirass, comprising a matching breastplate and backplate.
The fauld and hanging tassets to shield the waist and upper thighs.
The arms are heavily guarded by overlapping pauldrons at the shoulders, rerebraces on the upper arms, hinged couters at the elbows, vambraces on the forearms, and articulated gauntlets to protect the hands.
Finally, the legs and feet are enclosed within upper-thigh cuisses, protective poleyns for the knees, defensive greaves for the shins, and flexible, armored sabatons to cover the feet.
Sixteen main components to enchant.
Technically, Leon could involve himself in the entire process of creating the armor.
Enchanting every single piece of the armor before it was riveted together.
When Leon was finished growing, he intended to do just that.
Every strap, every rivet, every buckle, and sliding plate.
He would end up with anywhere between 300 and 900 enchantments on a single suit of armor.
But he needed to up his Enchanting knowledge and develop a full coherent schema for such a build.
A single armor set could be a full legion of souls and Bound Metal.
For this particular suit of armor, Leon was not going crazy with it.
He was enchanting it with a combination of [Feather], [Fortify Strength], and [Fortify Armor].
The games had divided Fortify Armor into two categories, but his version of the enchantment was effective on anything considered armor.
Between the Aketon and Chausses, gauntlets, Backplate, Chestplate, rerebraces, couters, vambraces, cuisses, poleyns, greaves, sabatons, pauldrons, helmet and gorget Leon actually had a full 23 pieces to enchant and infuse with Daedric souls.
Meaning that he needed to weave a full 69 enchantments into this armor and make sure that it played nice with his already existing enchantments.
Nice!
Taking a deep breath and clearing the smirk that was on his face, Leon got to work.
It took nearly six hours for Leon to carefully weave and set all of the enchantments.
Then Leon ripped out the souls of Dremora who where newly born from the Waters of Oblivion and gently infused them into the enchanted armor components.
Prior to this there had not been much visual indications as to what Leon was doing.
But as soon as the Binding process started the whole suit of armor underwent a drastic change.
Previously a gleaming and polished silver.
The Armor darkened into a deep obsidian black.
Glowing red runes appeared across its surfaces.
The armor shifting its form into a dark variant with a slightly horned helm.
It would have looked properly menacing if the armor wasn’t sized for a child.
Even the Aketon(Gambeson) and Chausses(essentially a pants version of a Gambeson) turned dark to match the armor.
The Goblin Dremora smiths witnessed this transformation in a state of shock.
They had carefully observed as he enchanted the armor.
But infusing the Daedric souls into the Armor was dramatic and changed the armor at a fundamental level.
The armor had already been nearly indestructible.
Now it was stronger than even that.
And the aesthetic had changed to a much more appealing and menacing look.
After admiring his handywork for a few moments and fielding questions about how the smiths could potentially infuse souls into their own work.
Leon pulled the completed armor set out of Coldharbour into the waiting hands of his Earthly Avatar.
With the Armor now in hand, fully enchanted and Bound.
Leon went about equipping the armor.
Which was quite easy with the goblins patented Easy-Equip enchantment.
Every piece of the armor practically put itself onto his frame, the straps and buckles tightening and sinching themselves into place without a need for a squire to help.
With everything equipped and in place, Leon dawned the helmet and took a deep breath.
Hopping in place and moving around his room in Prewett manor.
The totality of the enchantments made Leon feel like the armor only weight about a third of what it should weigh.
The additional strength from his [Fortify Strength] enchantments was noticeable, but not exaggerated.
If he had a higher level of enchanting knowledge… Leon was sure that he could practically turn a suit of normal armor into an equivalent of powered armor from sci-fi series.
Maybe even an Iron Man suit that was purely magical.
But that level of artifice was in the domain of Masters and Grandmasters.
Not a novice like himself.
Regardless of his Novice level enchantments, the new armor was probably one of the most powerful defensive artifacts in the entire world at this moment.
The combination of Goblin master craftsmanship and Daedric Binding turning it into something worthy of legend.
His enchantments were just the icing on the already badass cake!
“Its time to exterminate some filthy Xeno Scum!” Leon proclaimed while striking a pose in front of a full-length mirror in his room… he was too small for it to be cool.
Chibi Daedric Armor was not doing anything to help him feel like he was a badass.
“*Sigh* Lets get this show on the road then.” He muttered to himself as he reached into Coldharbour and pulled Morty-1 into his bedroom.
“Morty-1 its time to go kill your Inferi.” Leon said, “Take me to your little cave.”
“At once My Lord!” Morty-1 reached out and gripped Leon by the shoulder then turned.
The familiar sensation of Apparition took hold of Leon and after a moment of disorientation, he found himself standing on a cliffside beside what to him was an obviously magical doorway that disguised by magical means.
“Allow me to remove the protections and we can enter without needing to go through all hassle.” Morty-1 said while drawing his wand.
“Go right ahead.” Leon waved him on.
He certainly didn’t want to cut open his palm or anything like that to open the blood-sealed door.
Morty-1 dismantled his old magics easily and soon the cave was opened.
An eerie sight met their eyes as they entered into the darkness.
They soon found themselves standing on the edge of a great black lake, so vast that Leon could not make out the distant banks, in a cavern so high that the ceiling, too, was out of sight.
The cave was obviously magically altered; there was no way that this place was purely a naturally occurring cavern.
A misty greenish light shone far away in what looked like the middle of the lake; it was reflected in the completely still water below.
The greenish glow and the light from the two wands were the only things that broke the otherwise velvety blackness.
“Shall we proceed My Lord?” Morty-1 asked raising his wand.
Leon could see magic extending from his wand into the depths of Lake before them and he frowned behind his mask as the waters at bank began to tremble with motion coming from below the surface.
Soon, unnaturally moving corpses began crawling up out of the water… and arranging themselves into orderly lines.
Leon wanted to slap himself.
He had been envisioning a battle.
But he had literally brought the creator of these Inferi here.
Obviously Morty-1 could control the Inferi that he had created himself.
Now Leon just felt utterly stupid for having prepared armor just for this.
The Inferi were just going to stand there and let him roast them.
“*sigh* Morty, one of these is going to be the corpse of Regulus Black.
Separate him out and undo the curses that make him an Inferi.
I’ll figure out a way to get his corpse to Sirius Black at some point.” Leon said helplessly as the Inferi continued to line themselves up.
“Yes, My Lord!” Morty-1 said as he began inspecting each of the Inferi’s faces and separating them after he had checked them.
About 20 minutes later, the Regulus Black Inferi was off to one side and all of the Inferi of the black lake had been gathered up on the shores tightly packed together.
Feeling rather put off by the lack of action, Leon raised his wand focused on the [Flames] spell.
Channeling it with every bit of magicka that he could muster in his Earthly Avatar.
A pillar of pure flames burst from the end of his wand.
Roaring like chimney fire, the pillar of flames swept through the throng of Inferi like a laser beam.
Incinerating the gathered undead in barely a few seconds.
The cave floor where the Inferi had been standing was glowing a dull red in a few spots and not even ashes remained.
Steam filled the air from where the pillar of flames licked the lake.
Leon ignored the sight and smells from the blast.
He felt a little woozy from the sheer volume of Magicka that he had channeled.
But he ignored that too and pulled up his status page to make sure that this had counted for his task.
He checked the tab and found that indeed, he had finished the Task and now had a new one waiting for him.
The rush of power flowing into him from the acquisition of the Colored Rooms was heady and did a lot to lift his spirits.
How this whole thing had played out left a bad taste in his mouth.

[Task: Steal at least 10,000 Gold Coins worth of items/valuables/trinkets.
Reward: Evergloam]
Leon looked at his new task with a thoughtful expression on his face as he stood in the cave entrance.
Nocturnal’s realm.
The Spheres of Darkness, Night, Mystery and Luck.
Honestly, that luck was part of her domain should already tell everyone that she was too powerful to fuck with.
Luck is overpowered if it is continuously on your side after all.
Though it was unlucky that Leon had gotten this Task outside of Hogwarts, and that the Tasks were not retroactive.
The Vivarium was likely worth millions of Gold Coins all on its own.
And with the amount of stuff discarded in the Room of Hidden things?
It would only take a half hour or so to complete the task.
Technically, everything that he took from the Room of Requirements was stealing.
All that stuff was either Hogwarts property or the hidden belongings of others.
Leon shrugged and decided that he could put off this particular Task until the school year started.
The ROR was convenient beyond belief.
And theft on the scale that the Task required was not something that Leon wanted to engage in out in the wild at this moment.
That was a lot of money.
“Ok, take me back home so I can get out of this armor.” Leon said, reaching up for Morty-1’s hand.
“As you wish My Lord”
A quick trip later Leon was at home once more and he banished his armor straight off of himself and into a storage area in Coldharbour.
“Gasket!” Leon called out after a few moments.
With a sharp ‘Crack’ of displaced air the conjoined twin elves appeared with a dramatic bow, “Master called?”
“Yeah… can you take me to the Burrow?” Leon asked.
“Of course, Master!
Mistress Molly said that you are welcome any time too.” Gasket’s double layered voice quivered with excitement as he waddled over to Leon and reached out for his hand.
A snap later and Leon found himself standing outside of a building that really looked like it ought to collapse.
It looked as though it had once been a large stone pigpen, but extra rooms had been added here and there until it was several stories high and so crooked it looked as though it were held up by magic, which it definitely was.
There at least four visible chimneys sticking out of the redish brown roofs.
In front of the houses entrance was a large lopsided sign that read ‘THE BURROW’.
Arranged around the doormat were plethora of old boots, a rusted out old cauldron, and Leon could swear he spotted a gnome scurrying off at his and Gasket’s arrival.
Knocking on the door, Leon stood there feeling a little awkward.
This visit had been completely spur of the moment.
He had no idea why he had decided to come here.
He could have gone to see Harry too.
He might do just that.
But honestly, right now he was feeling oddly frustrated.
His armored preparations for his Inferi Extermination being meaningless had him all worked up.
And this was the first place he had thought to come.
“Who is it?” Leon heard a muffled voice from inside the house, clearly not meant for him to respond.
But apparently that didn’t matter because Gasket decided to answer.
“Gasket has brought Master Leon to visit Mistress Molly!” Gasket yelled through the door.
“Leon’s here?” Leon heard a familiar voice call out from inside the Burrow, “Quick open the door!”
A moment later the door to the Burrow burst open and four Red heads came scrambling out the door.
Ron, Fred and George, and Ginny stumbled out onto the landing.
But surprisingly there was a fifth, dark-haired addition to the group that Leon hadn’t expected.
“I didn’t expect to see you here Harry.” Leon said as he greeted his cousins.
“Hedwig and Romeo kept getting all confused and apparently weren’t delivering letters from Aunt Petunia’s house.
I probably wouldn’t have noticed… But Aunt Petunia exchanges letters with Professor Snape an awful lot.
Some House Elf is stopping my mail.
Doesn’t want me to go to Hogwarts this year for some reason.” Harry made an exasperated gesture, “The little creep won’t even tell me why he wants me away from school.”
Leon hadn’t actually forgotten forgotten, but it had definitely slipped his mind that Dobby would try and stop Harry’s attendance to Hogwarts because of Lucious Malfoy’s plot to unleash what he thought was simply a cursed book into the halls of Hogwarts.
He had no idea why Malfoy was set on doing so.
The only thing that Leon could think of, since Malfoy targeted Ginny as the delivery mechanism, was that Lucious was trying to somehow hurt Arthur Weasley by getting one of his children caught taking a dark artifact into Hogwarts.
“That reminds me!” Leon suddenly said turning to the Weasleys for a moment, “When you all go to get this years school supplies let me know when so I can come with.
I’ll be busy most of the summer.
Family trips and such.
But we’ll come back to go shopping with everyone.
Anyway, sorry Harry, you were saying?”
Harry waved it off, “Lets go inside to talk, and honestly, that was about it.
Mu- Aunt Petunia was very annoyed at that house elf.
She asked if I wanted to stay with Sirius, but Grimwald place is too gloomy.
So I asked if I could come to Ron’s house and she said yes.”
Harry explained all of that before they had even fully entered the house.
The group guiding Leon through a cluttered, yet homey and welcoming interior.
“Where’s Aunt Molly?” Leon asked as they all plopped down the sofas in the crowded Den area.
“I’m over here sweetheart!” Molly called from an open door, she was wearing an apron and obviously stirring something in a pot, “Preparing supper, should be ready in an hour.
How’s your mum?”
“She’s good.
Working on her business in the Muggle world.
We’ll be taking a trip together in a few days.
Gonna visit the Americas.” Leon replied.
“So, what brought you over unannounced like this?” Fred asked from beside him.
“Just… I actually don’t know?” Leon scratched the back of his head, “I finished up my summer homework, didn’t have anything to do.
So… I came for a visit.
Gasket brought me.”
“Your elf… Elves?
Are kind of weird mate.
Never seen an elf wearing actual clothes before.” George pointed out.
“Ah, I actually asked him about that before.” Leon said, “Gasket insists that he is wearing a ‘Costume’ and not clothes.
They’ve got like sixty variations, and he keeps making more.”
“It’s obviously clothes though?” Ron said.
“Gasket proved that they weren’t clothes.” Leon said without further explanation.
“How?”
“He had me give him one of his costumes.
Didn’t break our bond.
That means that they are really not clothes.” Leon explained.
He also didn’t get how that worked.
Normally, if Leon was within distance of loose clothing, Gasket wouldn’t even come near him.
But Gaskets ‘costumes’ which were just clothes with themes didn’t count.
Gasket was quite proud of all of his self-made costumes and had been ecstatic to show all of his outfits to Leon.
Most of them were just variations of his normal getup.
But some of them were quite outlandish or just straight silly.
Like a Cerberus costume that had a magically animated third head set between their two heads.
“How does that even work?” Harry asked.
Leon just shrugged, “It might be a House Elf thing.
Or it might be a specific magic thing.
I don’t know, and I have too much that I’m learning to try and add this little mystery to the pile.”
Ron chuckled, “Still trying to figure out that Gamps Law stuff?” he asked while shaking his head.
Leon nodded.
The rabbit hole that was Gamps Law and Transfiguration in general seemed to never end.
It was ridiculously frustrating.
He had talked about this stuff with Harry and Ron.
Though not too much since they weren’t really that interested and Birdperson was always a killjoy when he started delving into technical aspects.
“Well, I’m glad you came over.” Fred said, “Ron was telling us the other day that you were interested in possibly making your own wizard games.
He said you had some cool ideas.
Something about Dungeons?”
Leon was mildly taken aback.
He’d spitballed ideas about various potential games with Harry and Ron.
D&D was one of those that seemingly had made an impression.
It also had a lot of potential and wasn’t too far away from stuff like Wizards Chess in terms of enchantments necessary.
But it was a lot of R&D still.
“At this point it’s only an idea.
Dungeons and Dragons is a Muggle tabletop game.
With a few magical tweaks, it could become something so much more than what it is.” Leon said.
The twins were curious and asked about D&D.
So, Leon explained the mechanics to them and even had Gasket retrieve his manual of Advanced D&D 2nd Edition.
He explained that the Muggle company that made the game kept updating the rules every few years, making balance adjustments and adding new monsters and lore to the world they were building.
The twins were fascinated by the concept, but agreed with Leon that in its non-magical form, Witches and Wizards would not really be interested in actually playing D&D.
“How about this.”
“We will try to develop”
“The magical portion”
“Of this D&D”
“And you fund us”
“”Then when its finished, we can launch this as our flagship game alongside our prank products in our future business!”” The twins did that thing where they talked between each other and in perfect unison.
Leon reached into his pockets and pulled out a coin purse containing a hundred Galleons.
He was stupidly wealthy and he didn’t really do anything with that wealth.
He threw it to the Twins who caught it together, then feeling the weight, did a doubletake before they opened it up and peered inside.
“”You won’t regret this!”” they said in perfect unison before darting out of the den area and disappearing up a set of stairs.
“Well, that was interesting.” Ron said from the side.
Leon ended up staying at the Burrow until shortly after supper.
He said his goodbyes and had Gasket take him home where he flopped onto the bed and decided that he just wanted to sleep tonight.
The next month and a half was going to be chaotic and potentially dangerous.
“Molly’s a damn good cook…” He muttered as he drifted off to sleep.
