Upon waking, the world was confusing.
Annoying, and troublesome.
Being a baby sucked balls when you were aware of it.
Fortunately, he did not have to spend uncountable hours being a baby.
He was fully able to transfer his conscious mind back and forth between his avatar in Coldharbour and his avatar in the prime material universe… assuming that whatever world he had connected to was a prime plane.
His new avatar was Human, and from what little he could piece together from his new avatars dull baby senses, in a fairly modern world.
Also, the people around his avatar were speaking in English.
Accented like the Brits.
Though don’t ask him to tell what kind of European English accent it was, he had a hard time distinguishing Australian accents from British accents, let alone telling apart the Scotts, Irish, and the various dialects in the UK.
Anyway, they sounded British.
So he was assuming that he may have ended up in a normal world.
The benefits of entering a normal world and having magical power would more than make up for the world being mundane.
He could easily take over the world with some carful planning if there were no countermeasures to magic.
World conquest would definitely be good source of OP.
Anyway, he spent about a year flipping between occupying his Human Avatar on Earth and meticulously training and learning his magic in Coldharbour.
He needed to maintain his Avatar on Earth, crying for food, crying for diaper chances, crying to annoy his parents.
You know, the normal stuff that babies do.
But he at least let them sleep well.
A solid eight hours of not needing to pop in every thirty minutes to make sure that they didn’t think he was dead was a great boon for his training.
But during the days he constantly needed to at least show that his avatar was healthy.
Though he soon discovered that his new “Parents” were basically anything but parental.
They were a pair of junkies.
Heroin Addicts, along with other substances that he either recognized or didn’t know off the top of his head.
At the very least, his parents had given him a pretty great name.
along with the family name it made him feel like a badass.
Leon D.
Kennedy.
From what Leon understood, the D didn’t actually stand for anything.
His parents just thought it sounded better to have that D in there… pause…
Anyway, now named Leon D.
Kennedy, he lamented the fact that as he got older he needed to spend more time in his Earthly Avatar.
Walking, “Learning to Talk” and just generally making a nuisance of himself was a mandatory thing for a toddler.
So, he would usually spend a few hours active, take a ‘nap’ for a few hours, and repeat throughout the day.
His Junkie parents were quite appreciative of his frequent naps.
Though honestly, Leon wasn’t sure that they actually were appreciative of it.
They would shoot up and essentially be comatose on the couches or floors of whatever new place they had happened to go to.
And they would leave the house, with Leon unattended for hours and hours at a time.
Leon was fairly certain that if he had been a normal baby he would have died due to neglect already.
They didn’t have AC in any of the places that they stayed, and throughout the years it was either bitterly cold or swelteringly hot.
By the age of three, Leon had gotten a very good grasp on his Magicka and was getting to the point where he might be able to start experimenting with new spells.
Though not in his Earthly Avatar.
Coldharbour Avatar was where could experiment without worry.
But having to go through these years of being a child again would suck if he accidentally killed his own avatar.
He had also learned some of the rules for pulling things into Coldharbour.
He needed to be able to physically move the objects or people in question to be able to shift them between the planes.
As a three year old, Leon couldn’t move much between planes.
He wanted to experiment with a cat or a dog, but animals in general seemed to avoid him like the plague.
Even insects avoided going anywhere near Leon.
And so, more years passed.
Leon increasingly spending more and more time in his Earthly Plane Avatar.
Then, it finally happened.
At the age of seven, Leon finally had the physical strength to pull his nearly comatose parents into Coldharbour one evening while they were high out their minds.
It was almost… no scratch that, it was in full disgust that he hauled his junkie parents into Coldharbour and hurled them both into the Waters of Oblivion, initiating their conversion into Deadra under his command.
He watched the process in fascination.
Their very souls corrupted by the essence of oblivion and altered into something different.
Something twisted and leashed to his will.
The entire conversion process took several hours.
His father succumbed first, being converted after 4 hours.
His mother lasted 9 hours before the conversion was complete.
Once his parents had both undergone the full transformation nothing had changed with them physically.
But under the hood they were no longer human.
They were both of that stereotypical Junkie build.
Thin, greasy, pockmarked, and just generally shady looking.
Missing teeth and looking like the worst kind of people.
They both kneeled before his Coldharbour Avatar with expressions of worship on their faces.
Leon looked them over and couldn’t help but feel disgusted at the fact that his avatar had been born to such people.
Though, in all fairness, any world that he was likely to enter would probably result in him having shit parents.
The natural aversion to the host request basically guaranteed that he would almost always get shitty people as parents.
With flex of his will, Leon cast the [Healing] spell on both of them continuously hoping that it would help with their deteriorated state induced by years of drug and alcohol abuse.
And [Healing] worked.
Their missing teeth regrew, his ‘fathers’ thinning hair filled in.
The pockmarks on their flesh receded until only smooth flesh was revealed.
“There we go, need to get you two looking a bit more proper if we are to move up in the world.” Leon said with a smirk.
The world was about to change.
Not quickly.
But inevitably and inexorably.
Two minions, already connected with the underworld of Liverpool England.
Even if they were only low-level scum, they could start his conquest.
Drawing in the thugs and dealers would be child’s play.
Convert them and move up to the next in line up the totem pole until he controlled the underground.
Then start with normal civilians, push them into government and start the same until he controlled the entire nation.
The only thing that he needed to do was make sure that no one caught on to what he was doing.
He did not want to have to deal with ICBMs when someone realized that they were dealing with a Borg-like threat to the planet.
On top of gaining two minions, Leon had gained something else for converting his parents.
OP.
He had gained 1,000 points total from converting them both.
500 points per person?
He would need a lot of people, but if he converted the entire planet?
Billions of points!
He would be swimming in OP and able to afford a huge selection of his [Shop].
“First, lets head back, we need to start planning.” Leon grunted.
“”Yes Master”” his parents replied in unison.
Then, with no further preamble, Leon shoved them both back into the material plane with his avatar there and began planning.
Leon didn’t know much about the underworld of Earth.
Even the underworld of the United States of America where his last life had been.
Not to mention there was a little time difference.
In his previous life he’d been born in the 90s, in this life he had been born July 31st 1980 and perilously close to midnight.
Now it was 1987 and apparently the criminal underbelly of UK was a bustling place with literally thousands of different criminal organizations.
Liverpool itself was a cesspool of gangs and cartels trafficking in everything from drugs to flesh, dirty deeds to vile deeds.
Leon would have never guessed that the UK had such an immense problem with criminal activity in the 80s.
The problems in Liverpool were actually so bad and the political movements so extreme that the city had a couple of nicknames “Shock City” and “Skag City”.
Unemployment was stupidly high, close to a quarter of the population was unemployed.
The city council was aggressively tearing down thousands of empty slums, and tens of thousands of were on the waiting lists for habitable homes.
The city was petri dish, cultivating criminal activity and fermenting hatred for the central government like it was going out of style.
Although in March steps had been taken to start fixing everything.
The House of Lords had disqualified and removed 47 democratic Labor councilors from office for financial misconduct and had replaced them with new officials from the central government.
But even with that intervention and the development that was beginning to rebuild the derelict docks, the city’s situation wasn’t something that only a few months of responsible management could fix.
It would be years before anything approaching a full recovery would happen, but at least, from what Leon could gather, the city seemed to be moving towards a more stable future.
Though the steps that really needed to be taken were not in the works.
From what he could see, the city was probably looking at a mass migration away from it in the near future.
It was a perfect place to start assimilating the world.
∞∞∞
It turns out that it is not so easy to assimilate the world.
After a few days of experimentation, Leon discovered that his Dremora were unable to pull living things into Coldharbour on their own.
He had to personally move living things into Coldharbour.
People, animals, even plants and insects Leon had to personally pull into Coldharbour.
His Dremora could enter and leave Coldharbour as they wished, but it was loud and accompanied by a brilliant shimmering purple portal that only accepted the Dermora in question and anything that they were carrying, so long as it wasn’t a living being.
This crushed any hope of an exponential growth and takeover of the planet.
Though it didn’t prevent him from perusing other avenues towards world domination.
It massively slowed down his plans.
The other experiments that he conducted were mildly dubious.
His ‘parents’ went out and captured a dozen live rats for the experiments.
And Leon came away learning a few things.
Anything that he personally killed had its soul yoinked into Coldharbour as if he had cast [soul trap] on them.
This did not apply to his Dremora.
If he wanted his Dremora to collect souls for him, Leon was going to have specially enchant weapons or equipment with a modified version of [Soul Trap].
The rats contained Petty Souls and he could convert them into scamps or atronarchs but nothing more powerful than that.
At the moment it wasn’t all that helpful to make scamps or atronarchs, the souls would be put to better use in enchanting.
At the moment, fielding supernatural creatures would only serve to alert people that there was a potential threat growing unchecked.
Leon planned to wait until he built up a solid power base before he started looking into armed takeovers.
Right now, stealth and skullduggery would serve him better in the long run and the short term.
His experimenting with bugs in general came as a surprise when he killed several and found that he obtained miniscule fragments of souls that he could piece together into a petty soul if he had enough of them.
But miniscule meant miniscule.
He was fairly certain that he would need millions of the things just to piece together a petty soul, let alone trying for a minor or major soul.
Arachnids seemed to provide larger fragments than others.
And the larger the bug was in general the larger the fragments that he acquired from killing them.
After a weeklong round of testing and experimenting, Leon finally ordered his ‘parents’ to get the ‘family’ moved to another part of the UK and to seek gainful employment.
Initially he had been planning to take over the underworld, grow a powerbase and all that.
But… without the possibility of his Dremora automating capture for conversion, he needed another route.
Kidnapping people seemed like a great way to get caught.
And sneaking his seven year old, skinny ass avatar into position to kidnap criminals into Coldharbour for conversion seemed like an easy way to get this avatar killed and have to start over again.
So, what he really needed was stable place where he could train his physical avatar and grow up to the point that he would be strong enough to handle things without risk.
He was not eager to end up as a baby again.
Dominating the world would take longer this way.
But growth doesn’t happen in a day.
And he had plenty of other means by which to generate OP.
Killing those rats and bugs had granted Leon a paltry few points.
He hoped that if he established an ecosystem within Coldharbour he could generate passive income without needing to kill things himself.
Just having living things there should count towards Domination/Enslavement/Brutality at the very least.
Unless it needed to be humans to count as enslavement.
He would test all of that out over the coming years.
Right now, he would just sit back and enjoy life as child while his ‘parents’ slaved away to provide a comfortable environment.
It took another week of research to come up with a plan of action.
The Kennedy Family would be moving to Reading located Berkshire.
Unlike Liverpool, the amount of jobs available were staggering.
Reading was growing rapidly with tech development in the area.
Leon’s ‘parents’ were not skilled people, they had no idea about computer literacy or anything like that.
But the fleshed-out plan was that his father and mother would find work while saving for basic typing/computer literacy courses.
The margins would be tight at first.
But there was nothing for it.
Leon would need to be in school, which was irritating, but could easily provide him with opportunities to acquire a few more minions.
With the plan set, action followed.
At first the times were quite lean.
But before December rolled around Leon found himself now living at 12A Belmont Road West Reading.
going to Battle Primary School in West Reading.
Leon liked that the school was just a short jaunt from Belmont Road.
His ‘Parents’ had found work relatively easily.
His mother was working as an office cleaner for some tech company, and his father had found work as a warehouse hand.
Margins were tight but it was working exactly as Leon had envisioned.
The only sour point about the move from Leon’s perspective was the school uniform.
A grey sweater or cardigan, a white polo shirt or collared shirt, and grey trousers.
Talk about dreary and not at all stylish.
Especially since Leon’s uniform attire was all second hand, purchased from the local Woolworths on Broad Street to save as much as possible.
Computer literacy courses weren’t exactly cheap.
And for Leon, having his minions break into the tech industry was important.
Sure, he could just convert someone already in the industry.
But from his experience converting souls, the timing for conversion was wildly unpredictable.
One of the rat souls that had started in August was not finished converting yet, and Christmas Break was coming up.
He couldn’t risk trying to convert people who would be missed if they disappeared for a couple of days.
He might get lucky and it only take a few minutes, but it was better safe than sorry.
The reasons for the conversion taking longer or shorter times were many and complex.
But in short, the soul itself had to accept the change for that final bit of transformation to occur.
The Waters of Oblivion essentially just spam knocked on the door to be let in until it worked.
It was entirely possible that any soul would just sit there and never allow itself to be transformed.
Even if he gave the soul an infinite amount of time, it may still refuse that final transformation.
On the other hand, some souls may accept the conversion immediately.
It wasn’t a matter of willpower or resolve or anything like that.
From what The Basics covered, conversion was essentially random.
Even if a fully willing subject allows themselves to be submerged in the Waters of Oblivion there is no guarantee that it wouldn’t take a million years for it to happen, but on average the safe bet was 12 to 96 hours on average.
Now going to school, with his ‘Parents’ working, Leon’s schedule followed a predictable pattern day in and day out.
School, home, mentally transition to Coldharbour to practice and study his Magicka, return, go to school and repeat.
Though there was time in between where Leon acquired samples of grass, dirt, mud, goldfish and really everything he could get his hands on to try and start up an ecosystem in Coldharbour.
The ecosystem establishment plan was not going well at all though.
Even potted plants withered and died in Coldharbour’s environment.
He could alter and change the environment, but doing so required active management, if he stopped focusing, the changes that he made would revert to the natural state of Coldharbour.
A chilling atmosphere that always felt cold no matter the fact that the sky was perpetually on fire.
He had tried dozens of varieties of plant, and every creature that he released in Coldharbour inevitably died of hunger or exposure.
It was frustrating not to be able to automate soul collection.
He had ideas for creating artificial magical spaces within Coldharbour that could sustain ecosystems, but that was exceedingly high-level Shadow Magic stuff, not something that Leon could do at the moment.
Anyway, days blended together.
Time passed quickly with the established routines.
And by the end of 1989 Leon’s ‘parents’ were making moves up in the world.
His mother had managed to become a VDU operator.
She was now pulling in a rough salary of around £8,500 pounds a year.
His father had transitioned from working the warehouses, now working as a Heavy Goods Vehicle operator.
As it turned out, even with the transition to being a Dremora, he just wasn’t really cut out for the thinking kinds of jobs, so Leon had adjusted his course to just getting a job that paid extra well if he put in extra effort.
And long distance trucking was in high demand and commanded a respectable salary of around £13,000 pounds a year.
Though with the amount of time and effort his minon was putting into work, he was set to pull in closer to £15,000 this year.
Which meant that the full take-home pay this year between his ‘parents’ was sitting at around £17,000 pounds.
Subtracting all of the mandatory expenses, food, utilities, rent, local taxes, transportation, and clothing costs.
The household was still at a 10K+ surplus in savings.
At the moment, Leon’s ‘Father’ minion was pulling ahead in financial contributions.
But his ‘Mother’ minion was where his hopes lie for significant gains.
He knew the future at this point; he knew where the world was heading.
And the Mother minion had a knack for codes and numbers.
It would probably take another ten years.
But with her focusing on learning actual coding and programming, he could have her be the creator of stuff like facebook and youtube.
On top of all of that, he directed his minions to invest everything, literally everything they had saved up over the past three years, into Microsoft stocks.
International stock trading was a pain in the ass at this point in time and the fees would eat into the eventual profits.
But if he remembered correctly, Microsoft was set up to be one of the greatest compounding runs of growth in history over the next tenish years.
Then, in 1999 when Microsoft plateaus he would have them sell half of their shares and invest that in Apple.
Over the next thirty years that would set him up to have tens of billions.
Not to mention coming out with stuff like youtube, tictok, Twitter and facebook himself.
Musk was looking to end up being second place for that worlds first trillionaire title.
Investing in amazon would also work.
But if he was right, he might get a million and a half dollars into apple shares when they cost only 10 to 20 cents.
But really, with just a basic plan with things that he knew would work well.
Leon wouldn’t need to worry about money while on Earth.
And waiting until the 2020s to fully launch a world domination campaign would give him plenty of time to prepare and build up an army hundreds of millions of Dremora/scamps and atronarchs that he could teach Magicka to.
The world would simply not be ready for the supernatural takeover.
By then, he may even find a way to plane meld the Earth into one of his planes of Oblivion.
Full takeover.
Full conquest.
∞∞∞
In January of 1990, Leon’s ‘parents’ successfully managed to purchase 57,419 shares of Microsoft stock with an investment of just over £20,000 pounds.
That month was lean for all of them because they had spent literally every cent they had on the transaction.
His ‘parent’s had even taken advances on their work to put as much as they could into it.
The next decade would see that singular transaction turn into a little over two million pounds hopefully.
Then the Apple surge would happen.
Not that Leon was going to let that be the only investment into Microsoft.
With his ‘parents’ working harder than all of their peers, they were sure to rise up higher on the ladders, enabling greater levels of investment.
Given just five or six years, they would be able to put their initial investment to shame.
Leon’s main order was to wait until the end of 1995 to make another massive investment into Microsoft.
His returns were going to be legendary.
∞∞∞
Another year passed by.
Leon had still not managed to create a functioning ecosystem within Coldharbour; however, he had managed to learn a bit about what he was doing wrong.
He needed to start lower on the totem pole.
Fungus was where he needed to start.
And fungus needed decay.
Which Coldharbour did not currently have very much of.
To actually get everything started, Leon was going to need to delve a bit deeper into Restoration and figure out a way to help mutate various fungi so that they could feed directly on ambient Magicka instead of their natural diets.
Then he would need Lichens and Reeds as well to hopefully help alter the soil and water compositions.
Moss, mushrooms, and such to lay a foundation of biological materials for plant life that could survive the extreme environment.
Bringing life to Coldharbour would take a lot longer than it would take for him to just get ahold of a new plane that more easily supports life.
But that didn’t mean that he was just going to give up.
If he managed a full-scale ecosystem in every Realm he obtained, it would be so much easier to farm OP.
The Coldharbour ecosystem building may be a long-term project, but it was one that could eventually pay massive dividends regardless of other sources of OP.
Every Realm that he acquired should get full living ecosystems for the same reason.
Leon’s Birthday had arrived in the normal fashion for this new world.
Just a regular-ass, normal day.
He hadn’t celebrated his birth in this new world even once.
If this even was a new world.
Every bit of news, every big event happening around the world seemed to be exactly the same as what he remembered.
Save for the fact that he was now The Father of Cold Harbor, the world looked as drab and as boring as he remembered.
He would be changing that eventually.
But as an 11 year old in England?
It didn’t matter that his grades were perfect at Primary School England doesn’t allow children to skip grades.
They enforce mediocrity for the sake of ‘Socialization’.
It didn’t surprise Leon that by the 2020s that it would fall and become the de’facto British Califate.
He still remembered how he died originally.
He still held a grudge too.
Regardless of benefits, tactical soundness, or the potential that his plans would be exposed early, Leon knew where he was truly going to start with his global takeover.
And he was going to make it violent, brutal, and utterly without mercy.
Leon didn’t harbor hatred for much, even junkies and petty criminals were mostly the subjects of his pity.
That psychotic murder sex cult and all the followers of that deviant warlord from the middle east?
He hated them so much that he felt like he was on the verge of shouting slurs every time he thought about them.
He wouldn’t allow a single one of those vile, filthy, Pedophile Worshiping psychos become a Dremora.
All of them would become Soul Shriven and pay for everything that they enabled, everything that they did.
Just as Leon’s pulse was quickening, and his mind was beginning to cloud with hatred unfathomable due to the trail of his thoughts.
Something completely unexpected happened.
Something that altered his plans drastically.
Something that would likely cause his world domination to require significantly greater planning.
That something was an Owl showing up on his kitchen table offering him a letter.
He recognized the formatting immediately.
Recognized the seal.
And his whole demeanor changed as he realized that basically all of his plans needed changing.
He wasn’t in the normal world at all!
He was in the Harry Potter Wizarding World.
He glanced down at his own body and murmured.
“So that is what that is?”
Thinking about the strange energy that flowed within his Avatar.
He had always assumed that it was some kind of result of Magicka leaking through his flesh.
It had never been worth noting.
Just a background energy that permeated the body and seemed to reinforce it, but it reacted whenever he experienced strong emotions.
He’d mentally played it off as either some kind of phenomena that was natural to the world already that he didn’t know about or a unique interaction with the Magicka that he channeled from Oblivion.
Now he knew better.
The owl remained perched on the table cooing softly and giving Leon a look.
Leon snapped out of his revere and cleared his throat.
“Oh sorry, let me get you some water.
I’m afraid I don’t have any food to spare.
Let me pen a quick response and you can take it back for me?” Leon said as he put action to his words.
Retrieving a bowl and filling it with water before ripping a page out of one of his school notebooks and writing a response to the letter.
He hadn’t even opened the letter, but he really didn’t have to.
The contents of that letter were standard.
He had read dozens, perhaps hundreds of them in his previous life due to all of the fanfics that he had read.
He already knew the list, he already knew the school.
In fact, he already knew how he was going to approach year 1 of Hogwarts.
With an active magical community in this world, Leon was going to have to approach the Plane Meld differently.
Witches and wizards would not sit idly by as he unleashed supernatural forces upon the Muggle populations.
And what’s worse, they would pose an actual threat to his plans.
Especially if anyone made a damn prophecy about his defeat or some such nonsense.
For all he knew, there may already be a prophecy that guaranteed his failure to complete his plans.
Unlike a lot of the protagonists from FanFictions that he had read, Leon was completely unconcerned with things like Legillimency or Veritaserum being able to pry out his secrets.
He wished any Legillimancer the best of luck trying to pull information out of a Daedric Princes mind.
They would be lucky if they didn’t go insane touching on the Domains that he held if they tried to push into his mind.
Veritaserum just wouldn’t hold sway over him either.
Not due to superb mental defenses or anything, just that he could shift his consciousness into Coldharbour and not have to worry about saying a thing while letting the potion run its course.
Plus, The Basics had covered basic mental defenses and even mind reading.
Not that he used them often.
Mind reading at the basic level was practically useless.
Now that he had his letter in hand, Leon needed to make his way over to Gringotts.
He didn’t care to wait for one of the school staff to come and escort him to Diagon Alley.
He kind of remembered where the entrance was, but it should be trivially easy to find.
He remembered something about Cross and it being near the center of London.
Which really meant that the Leaky Cauldron could only be at Charing Cross Road, which was practically a national landmark for England.
As for finding the Leaky Cauldron itself?
He remembered well that it was between a record shop and a bookshop.
Though he didn’t know the names of the other establishments around it.
All he needed to do was take a stroll down Charing Cross and he would find it.
But suddenly Leon pause mid writing his acceptance letter.
This letter being delivered by owl didn’t make sense… he was muggle-born.
A professor or liaison should have come to deliver the letter personally.
That is when Leon realized that the name on the letter was actually wrong.
It was addressed to Leon McKinnon, not Leon Kennedy.
That was odd…
Shrugging, Leon quickly finished penning his acceptance letter and handed it to the Owl with another murmured apology about the lack of snacks.
Then he mentally called for his ‘Mother’ minion.
He couldn’t blame his minions for their oversight in informing him about the magical world.
But he needed to know what was going on.
If he was a McKinnon and not a Kennedy that didn’t really change anything all that much; it just meant that his name was less badass.
When his ‘Mother’ minion entered the kitchen area, Leon held up the letter and simply said, “Explain.” Conveying his meaning through their mental connection.
“It’s your Hogwarts Acceptance letter master.” She began.
Leon interrupted, “I know all that, I meant the background.
What is the family history that makes this happen?
I never realized that you were a witch.”
“Ah, yes Master, I apologize.
As you know, my name is Matilda Kennedy in the muggle fashion.
In the wizarding world I would be Matilda McKinnon.
My talent for magic was subpar, and I was frightened of being involved in the conflict with that Voldemort character, a dark lord who attempted to seize control of the magical community here in Britain.
At the time I was also involved in some rather promiscuous escapades with Gideon Prewett.
Around November of 1979 I realized I was pregnant and that is when I fled into the muggle world and met James Kennedy.
We married and then I had you.
I have no idea what happened on the magical side of things after that.
You know the rest.” She explained succinctly.
Leon wracked his brains.
Prewett was Molly Weasley’s maiden name.
So, he must be related to her.
He didn’t remember the McKinnon family from the books.
But that was hardly surprising.
Certain things just stick and others don’t.
He had never really been all that interested in the bloodline stuff in the lore.
But if his father was a Prewett shouldn’t his name be Leon Prewett?
Maybe it was a whole illegitimate bastard situation so his name was on his mothers side.
Leon shook his head and sighed, “Do you still have your wand?”
His minion shook her head, “It got lost during one of my mortal drug induced escapades master.”
“Well, it’s the weekend right now.
Lets head over to Diagon Alley get my school supplies and figure out what is going on on the magical side of things.
Plans need to be altered now.” Leon said with a huff.
Mother minion tilted her head, “Does this change the career path you wish me to take master?
Or is operation Internet Dominance still in effect?”
“Still in effect.
Once the world wide web becomes a staple of humanity their continuous use and reliance on my platforms will generate an insane amount of revenue for me.
Enslaving their minds without them even realizing it?
Corrupting the youth and nudging political opinions through algorithms that you develop in my name will count towards at least three of my Domains.
Regardless of the magical community, it is still the best means of attack on the world that I wish to possess.
I have plans for how to handle the magical side already.
Your contributions on the mundane side will be absolutely critical, your potential contributions on the magical side are limited to social connections which will not take the majority of your time.
Continue concentrating on learning everything about mundane tech and computing.” Leon said as they started heading out, “We will need check on the status of the McKinnon Family as well as see about claiming the Prewett estate as well.”
Leon made a quick trip to the lavatory to relieve himself before heading out and caught his reflection in the mirror.
He had hardly paid attention to his own looks over the years.
He was pretty average height for an 11-year-old.
His hair was light brown with hints of dark red mixed in that could be easily missed.
His skin was almost unnaturally pale but clear and healthy looking.
His eyes were a very light almost yellowish brown… Amber if he had to name it.
He couldn’t see himself as being related to the Weasley’s or the Prewett’s, known as they were for their bright red hair.
Leon’s avatar very much resembled his ‘mother’ minion though and he had zero reference as to what the McKinnon family was known to look like.
It took a little while to reach London from Reading.
Though the Highspeed rails made the transit relatively comfortable.
Leon and his ‘mother’ looked every bit the normal son and mother pair heading into the city to do a little shopping or sightseeing.
It was not the first time that Leon had been on a train, nor would it be the last.
But he always found the experience a novel one.
In his previous life, unless you lived in a big city with a metro or something, trains were not a common form of transportation for everyday people in the United States of America.
Everyone had personal vehicles.
Here in England it was pretty easy to get around without a car, even on long-distance trips.
Leon knew that there was actually a fairly robust train industry in the Americas, but it was mostly a cargo hauling system and he had never had the occasion to utilize a train before living this life.
Leon wasn’t sure what to expect in the wizarding world.
The fact that he didn’t remember the McKinnon’s from the books didn’t mean much.
As far as he knew, they might be walking into some crazy family drama, or the McKinnon family could be presumed extinct for all he knew.
Then there was the matter of the Prewett Bloodline.
As a bastard, Leon doubted that he would have any claim to their holdings.
Especially since Molly Weasley was alive and well, she had probably already inherited everything and dissolved the Prewett house.
But he genuinely had no idea about the inheritance laws, whether Mrs.
Weasley was entitled to anything of the Prewett’s at all, or anything about all of that.
He’d never truly paid attention to the workings of Nobel houses and Bloodline politics in the HP world.
