After breakfast, Charlie took Fred, George, and Aine through the Floo Network to Diagon Alley.

Aine told Charlie that he needed to withdraw some money from Gringotts, so the four of them went to Gringotts first.

After entering, Aine walked down a corridor and saw a bustling banking hall.Full novel: Harry Potter: The Retired Archmage — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Three goblins in suits were seated behind raised counters.

The four of them approached one of the counters, and Aine said to the goblin, “The vault of Aine T.

Ambrosius.”

The goblin took Aine’s vault key and examined it before looking at Aine.

“Silver Ring!

Take this gentleman to his vault.”

A goblin dressed like a hotel attendant took the key and led Aine to a mine-cart station.

The goblins of Gringotts had excavated vaults deep underground.

The exact depth and area of the vault complex were unknown, but it was known that there were at least three levels.

The first level was approximately five hundred meters below the surface, the second was around one thousand meters down, and the third was roughly one thousand five hundred meters below ground.

As for how much deeper it went where dragons served as guardians, nobody knew.

Aine and the goblin Silver Ring boarded a mine cart and passed through a waterfall.

The waterfall’s purpose was to remove disguises.

Whether someone was disguised through a potion or magic, passing through this waterfall would restore them to their original appearance.

This waterfall was one of Gringotts’ defensive measures, but Aine alone knew at least dozens of ways to bypass it.

After passing through the waterfall, they entered a roller-coaster-like section.

Aside from the thrills and excitement, its other purpose was to use special methods to detect and record the magical fluctuations of the wizard riding the cart.

After experiencing the waterfall’s cleansing, the more profound a wizard’s magical attainments were, the more wary they would become of the goblins’ intentions.

Therefore, the goblins could only use this method to secretly gather information.

Aine chose to conceal his own magical fluctuations to avoid being detected.

The relationship between wizards and goblins was nowhere near trustworthy enough for him to place complete faith in these creatures.

After the roller-coaster ride, Aine finally arrived at his vault.

Its number was 314159, which was basically identical to the digits of pi.

Aine watched as the goblin named Silver Ring used the key Aine had given him to open the first door.

Once the first door opened, Silver Ring used his fingernail to open the second door.

The first door opened outward, while the second opened inward. Find the original chapter at g.com.

Behind the doors was a wall.

The wall itself was another defensive measure, one established by Aine’s father.

Aine placed his right hand against it.

A peculiar magical rune formation resembling the Kabbalistic Tree of Life appeared on the wall.

As soon as the pattern appeared, it quickly moved toward both sides.

Only then did Aine see just how much was inside his vault.

There was simply a mountain of Galleons.

There were at least several million Galleons, and Aine considered that a normal amount.

After all, the Ambrosius family controlled thirty percent of the international trade in magical potion ingredients.

Aine took a small pouch from inside his clothes and scooped roughly one hundred Galleons from the mountain before leaving.

These Galleons were enough to purchase everything needed for school, as well as wands for the four of them.

On the way out, they returned by the same route.

After another roller-coaster ride and another round of having their faces washed by the waterfall, Aine finally returned to the Gringotts banking hall.

After leaving Gringotts, Charlie asked Aine, “Where should we go now?”

Aine replied, “Let’s buy our wands first.”

Charlie agreed.

The previous evening, Aine had already told Charlie that he would buy him a new wand.

After all, his current wand was Bill’s old wand.

It had long since ceased to suit Charlie and was limiting his ability to cast magic.

The four of them arrived at an old, somewhat dilapidated shop.

The sign above the storefront read: Ollivanders Wand Shop — Established in 382 B.C.

In front of the shop was a slightly dirty glass display window.

Inside, purple velvet held a wand made from an unknown material.

As soon as the four entered the shop, they saw an old man climbing a ladder while placing a box on a shelf.

“Oh~ A young man from the Weasley family.

You’re Charlie, aren’t you~?

Have you finally come to claim the wand that belongs to you?

And of course, the two young Mr.

Weasleys beside you, as well as the young gentleman from the eternal noble house of Ambrosius.”

Aine asked curiously, “You know me?”

Old Ollivander replied, “The peculiar magical fluctuations of your Ambrosius family are always difficult to forget.

They remind me of your older brother, Tatri.”

Aine had learned yet another secret belonging to the Ambrosius family.

The magical fluctuations of the Ambrosius family were extremely peculiar, which meant that their magic possessed a unique attribute.

Suppressing his curiosity, Aine said that the twins should choose their wands first.

The twins then received their own wands, each measuring fourteen and three-quarter inches, made of dogwood with unicorn tail hair cores.

Charlie, meanwhile, received the wand he had tested with in his first year.

It was finally Aine’s turn to choose a wand.

He immediately tested the wand that suited him: a thirteen-inch oak wand with a Thestral spinal-nerve core.

It was as though Ollivander had known from the beginning what materials Aine’s wand should contain, so Aine directly asked him,

“Mr.

Ollivander, you already knew what kind of wand suited me, didn’t you?”

“Yes.

The wand materials of your Ambrosius family have always been the same.

The wand itself is made of oak, while the core is made from some part of a Thestral.

For the different members of the Ambrosius family, the only difference is which part of the Thestral is used as the wand core, depending on their personalities.”

“Thank you for the explanation.”

Aine took twenty-eight Galleons from his pouch and placed them on the counter before leaving Ollivanders Wand Shop.

He then went to Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions and bought several sets of robes for himself and the twins, two sets for summer and two for winter.

After that, they went to the cauldron shop and the potion ingredient shop.

Since they did not need to visit Flourish and Blotts, they saved some time and went to a sweets shop instead before returning to the Burrow through the public Floo Network.
