What does it feel like to have a compartment all to yourself?

William had only one feeling about this: it was fantastic.

He didn’t have to deal with anyone else; he could quietly read a book and freely enjoy the scenery outside.Full novel: Harry Potter: Those Years Learning Magic at Hogwarts — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Everything about it made him feel utterly satisfied.

There was just one thing that puzzled William: he kept sneezing every now and then.

He had a feeling about this—it must be Harry or Hermione talking about him.

In William’s opinion, Harry was the more likely culprit.

“I’ve already dodged them, so surely I won’t get involved in another way—a-choo!”

These intermittent sneezes successfully ruined William’s good mood.

Fortunately, after a while, his sneezing finally stopped, but William no longer felt like reading or looking at the scenery.

Just then, the compartment door opened, and two older male Wizards saw William and asked, “Can we sit here?

We were delayed by something earlier, and this is the only place left with seats.”

“Of course, I’m just by myself here, feel free to sit,” William replied.

Honestly, he was very glad he hadn’t put his textbook away; otherwise, facing two strangers would have been quite awkward.

Seeing William continue to read, the two people opposite him consciously kept their voices down and didn’t disturb him much.

Just like that, time quickly passed until around 12 o’clock.

The clatter of the trolley in the aisle and the noise of people buying things signaled to William that it was time to buy lunch.

Sure enough, a smiling woman with dimples soon passed by, saw the three people in the compartment, and asked, “Dears, would you like to buy any refreshments from the trolley?”

“I’ll take two Cauldron Cakes.”

“I want two pumpkin pasties, and a pack of bertie botts every flavor beans.”

After the two older male Wizards finished speaking, William had already scanned the offerings.

Although they were foods from the magic world, most were snacks; the few filling items were the cakes and the pumpkin pasties.

“Could you please pack one of everything for me?

I’d like to try them all,” William said.

Even though they weren’t filling, it would still be nice for him to sample the snacks of the magic world.

In the end, William paid a price of 11 sickles.

To be honest, this price wasn’t low.

He put the bertie botts every flavor beans, Blow Treasure Super Bubble Gum, chocolate frogs, and other snacks into his personal bag, and then started eating a pumpkin pasty, followed by a Cauldron Cake, which was more filling.

After one bite, William’s face became expressionless.

Sure enough, it was British cuisine.

Coupled with the pumpkin that he already disliked, it successfully made him disappointed in the magic world’s pumpkin too.

As for the Cauldron Cake, William also couldn’t eat more than one bite.

“It’s a bit too sweet.”

At this moment, William was extremely grateful that he had prepared beforehand.

Putting the remaining items away, William pretended to take something from his bag, but in reality, he retrieved a portion of the food prepared for the System Spirit’s journey from the system warehouse.

He had worried about not liking the food, and since the System Spirit needed food for its journey, and knowing it would be inconvenient to cook private meals at Hogwarts, he had spent the entire month of August preparing and stockpiling a large amount of food.

After all, time was frozen inside the system warehouse, so no matter how much he stored, it would be exactly the same when taken out as when it was first put in.

However, it was precisely because he put the food in the system warehouse that he discovered the System Spirit could take things from the warehouse and put them into its travel backpack by itself.

Like this time, it packed itself.

Except for the food, some of the guns, ammunition, and Potions he had stored in the warehouse were also taken.

Anyway, back to the main topic.

“Lunch will be simple; let’s have some Tomato Beef Brisket Noodles.”

William thought this as he opened the lunchbox lid.

A golden light flashed, followed immediately by a rich, enticing aroma that instantly awakened his appetite.

Sure enough, once a Magic Chef’s skill becomes proficient, it produces the scene of glowing dishes, just like in certain cooking anime.

He took chopsticks out of his bag, and just as William was about to start eating, the sound of someone swallowing saliva rang out.

William looked over and saw the two male Wizards across from him blushing.

Finally, the most handsome Wizard spoke up.

“Hello, I am Cedric Diggory.

Do you happen to have any extra food?

I’d like to buy some to eat; it smells incredible.”

William:…Oho, this person in front of him was actually Cedric.

He knew that Hufflepuff students loved food, but he found it hard to imagine that Cedric Diggory, one of Hogwarts’ most handsome students, would look like this.

“My name is Anthony Rickett.

If you have enough food, please sell some to me too.”

William:…But honestly, he was glad it was this person who spoke up, otherwise he truly wouldn’t have agreed to share.

After all, he had a good impression of this character.

Since he was giving it away, adding Anthony Rickett wasn’t a problem.

Pretending to pull two lunchboxes from his personal bag, William handed them to the two Wizards.

“Thank you.

There are two of us, so how much should we pay?” Cedric asked.

“No need, consider it my treat.

In return, just tell me about things I should watch out for at Hogwarts.

My name is William Robert, and I’m a new student this year.” William said, then looked troubled at the chopsticks in his hand.

“Sorry, I only have chopsticks here, no spoons or forks.”

Cedric was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, “It’s alright, leave it to us.”

After the two took the chopsticks, they both pulled out their wands and performed Transfiguration on them, turning the two chopsticks into their preferred eating utensils.

Following this, the two opened their lunchboxes, ready to enjoy the meal.

The moment the lids were opened, the flash of golden light made both of them exclaim in surprise.

“Why is the food glowing?

Cedric, did you see that?” Anthony said.

Cedric nodded, then turned his gaze to William.

He didn’t suspect William had put a Potion in the food, after all, they were on the Hogwarts train.

William rolled his eyes at the two and explained, “That is the golden culinary light that only appears with extremely delicious dishes.

Don’t you know the saying that a dish that doesn’t glow isn’t a good dish?”

The two shook their heads blankly.

With their confusion resolved, they immediately started eating, eager to taste just how delicious this glowing dish was.

With just one bite, the two Little Badgers’ eyes lit up instantly.

They finally understood the deliciousness of the glowing dish.
