Silence fell over the school rooftop.
The air was heavy…
And Nora’s heartbeat was louder than any sound.
Yunho stood in front of her, his body tense, his eyes never leaving the strange man.
It was clear that he knew this kind of danger…
And knew how to face it.
The man said in a mocking voice:
“You’re still protecting her?
As if you can run away with her forever.”
Yunho clenched his fist.
“I told you… one more step.”
The man chuckled softly:
“Calm down, I didn’t come today to hurt her.”
Then he looked directly at Nora:
“But the truth will hurt you more.”
Nora took a step forward without thinking:
“What truth?
Who are you?
And why are you stalking me?!”
The man turned around slowly, as if he was enjoying the moment.
“Good question… but this isn’t the right time.”
And suddenly…
The school bell rang loudly, cutting through the tension.
The man seized the moment, and backed toward the door.
“I’ll be back… and then, you’ll know everything.”
He vanished.
Nora didn’t move.
Her legs were trembling.
Yunho turned to her immediately, and gently held her shoulders:
“Look at me… Are you okay?”
She slowly raised her eyes.
“Yunho… I’m scared.”
He didn’t hesitate.
He pulled her to his chest, and wrapped his arms around her tightly.
“I’m here.”
He said firmly.
“As long as I’m here… no one will touch you.”
She buried her face in his chest, for the first time feeling truly safe.
His heart was beating hard…
As if he was fighting the world for her.
In the evening, Yunho walked her back to the dorm.
They stood in front of the door, and silence surrounded them.
Nora said in a quiet voice:
“Thank you for not leaving me.”
He gave a rare, small smile:
“I didn’t… and I won’t.”
“Yunho… Are you hiding something from me?”
He looked at her for a long time.
Then he said:
“Yes.”
Her eyes widened.
“What?”
He took a deep breath:
“My past… is connected to your danger.”
And he added in a painful, quiet voice:
“And when you find out… you might hate me.”
She took a step closer.
She put her hand on his.
“I won’t hate you… before I hear it from you.”
He looked at her hand…
Then at her eyes.
And in that moment, he understood only one thing:
That this girl…
Had become both his weakness…
And his strength at the same time.
He gave a faint smile, and said:
“Then… be ready, Nora.
What’s coming… won’t be easy.”
