"Come on, Sis, are you jealous over this? I'm not interested in Zhou Yuwen at all," Zheng Yanyan said, rolling her eyes at Su Qing.
Su Qing wasn't seriously upset; she was just curious. "When did you and Zhou Yuwen get so close?"
"We're just good friends! I'm getting close to him, for your sake. If I'm around, isn't it better than letting Zhou Yuwen get close to the other two?" Zheng Yanyan said with a grin, putting her arm around Su Qing.
As she said this, she glanced around at Shen Yu and Lu Lin, making them both awkward. Lu Lin remarked, "You just said the KFC was especially for me, and now you're changing your story?"
"Hehe, I was just joking. Did you believe that?"
Despite the teasing, the girls were happy to have the burgers. Zheng Yanyan urged them to hurry and eat, warning them that getting caught could be serious trouble.
"I did tell Zhou Yuwen that if anything happens, I'll take the blame."
Hearing this, the others started to understand more, and Zheng Yanyan explained further. She had intended to treat everyone, but Zhou Yuwen refused to take her money. It was thanks to the girls that he was so generous.
The others chuckled, and Su Qing said, "Thanks to my influence."

Everyone laughed, and the dorm atmosphere instantly became much more relaxed.

When it came to Chang Hao, he hesitated despite clearly wanting the burger. He said, "The instructor clearly stated we're not allowed to eat anything other than cafeteria food."
"Come on, Brother Hao, don't be so strict. Old Zhou went through the trouble of getting KFC for us. Are you worried about the rules? You want that top grade, huh?" Li Qiang teased.
Chang Hao frowned and denied it, "That's not what I meant!"
"Haha, Brother Hao, if you don't want it, I'll eat it for you!" Li Qiang grinned, understanding the situation.
The military training grades didn't matter much for regular students—they would all get "good" anyway. But Chang Hao was different. As the class representative during training, he aimed for the highest grade, and the instructor even hinted at other honors.
For the first time in his life, Chang Hao was being valued this highly, making him a bit conflicted.
But as he saw Li Qiang about to take his burger, Chang Hao ultimately prioritized immediate gratification. He snatched the burger and said, "What's your hurry? Did I say I wasn't going to eat? Thanks, Old Zhou!"
"Haha!"
Watching this, Li Qiang couldn't help but laugh.
It had been ages since they'd had KFC. After days of nothing but steamed buns and cafeteria food, finally biting into a burger and fried chicken felt almost emotional.
As he devoured his KFC, Chang Hao asked Zhou Yuwen, "What made you think of bringing us KFC?"
Zhou Yuwen replied, "Su Qing and the others wanted some, so I figured I'd buy extra."
Li Qiang pouted, "Oh, so we were just an afterthought, huh, Brother Zhou?"
"Be glad you're getting food at all! Why so many complaints?" Chang Hao glared at him and added, "No wonder you and Zheng Yanyan have been so sneaky lately—it's because of this."
"Yeah, did you think something was going on between us?"
"Come on, you're my brother. I'd never doubt you."
Whether in the boys' or the girls' dorm, the KFC brought an unusually good atmosphere that night. But the boys, with their bigger appetites, quickly polished off what Zhou Yuwen had brought, feeling like they hadn't had enough.

The bespectacled boy was straight to the point.
Zheng Yanyan had supposedly been staying in the medical office, claiming she had stomachaches whenever the sun got too intense. But if something interesting arose, she would pop out, full of energy.
For example, during military training, the instructor from the neighboring unit challenged the girls' instructor to a singing battle. The girls' instructor was flustered, and that's when Zheng Yanyan, always eager for excitement, jumped in. She danced in her tank top, which got all the guys riled up.
Chang Hao had proudly pulled someone aside and said, "Bro, don't bother looking. She's taken."
"By who?"
"By me, of course!"
"Damn! Another good one gone!"
That had pissed Chang Hao off. But ever since his team had assumed Zheng Yanyan was his girlfriend, so they rushed over to tell him as soon as they heard this news.
Chang Hao was stunned momentarily before dashing out towards the girls' dorm.
"Wait, the whole dorm got caught?" Li Qiang grabbed the bespectacled boy, anxiously asking.
"I'm not sure, but I heard four girls got reported by the neighboring dorm."
"Damn!" Li Qiang cursed and ran out as well.
Naturally, Zhou Yuwen had to go check it out, too.
By this time, the sun had set, but the sky hadn't completely darkened yet. Four girls, including Zheng Yanyan, were standing outside the girls' dormitory as punishment. In front of them was a black plastic bag containing the KFC Family Bucket packaging.
Zheng Yanyan and the others had just been too noisy, which annoyed the girls in the neighboring dorm. So they reported them. Coincidentally, a strict female instructor in her thirties, notorious for being tough, happened to be doing inspections.
She stood there with a stern expression, earning the nickname "The Terminator" after just a few days of training.
