On Black Wind Mountain, there's a Black Wind Cave, which Mo Fan didn't find surprising at all. The only thing he could criticize was how unimaginative these demons were with their names.

The so-called Black Wind Cave wasn't at the mountain's peak, but it was still well above the halfway point, shrouded in clouds and mist.

This was a massive cave carved out by hand, and outside it stood several burly minor demons, armed with refined iron spears, guarding the entrance.Full novel: Heaven-Devouring Divine Toad — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

These minor demons, like Green-Faced and others, had mostly human forms, with human-like upper bodies but still retaining the furry, scaly beast bodies below.

Despite this, these demons were more presentable than Mo Fan, who had just undergone Demon Transformation. At least they wore tattered hemp robes to cover their bodies.

Looking at these odd-looking demons, Mo Fan couldn't help but think, "It seems like the demons here are really poor. Some demons can't even get enough to eat, and now even the demon soldiers are dressed in rags. In the human territory, they'd look like a bunch of damn refugees!"

"We're here to see Grandfather Great King. Is he in the cave?" One-Eye asked the demon soldiers at the entrance.

"So it's One-Eye from under the Fourth General!"

"To answer your question, Grandfather Great King is inside drinking with the three generals!"

A minor demon, whose species was indiscernible, replied.

"The Fourth General is here too? Perfect, let's go in!" One-Eye's eyes lit up, and he turned to Green-Faced and the others, saying, "Take these guys into the cave. Let Grandfather Great King decide!"

"Yes, sir!" Green-Faced and the other demons nodded, then pushed Mo Fan, the Rabbit Demon, and dragged Erha into the cave.

Seeing this, the Black Robe Demon Officer also led three minor demons under his command into the cave.

"Hahaha... Poison Fang did well this time. I've long wanted to capture a human woman to try something new, but those women from the Azure Sky Sect are too closely watched.

The woman you brought this time isn't bad. She's not as pretty as those women, but she's not ugly either. A nice change of taste for me."

"Though Grandfather Great King has many beauty consorts, they're all demons like us. Over time, it's inevitable to grow tired of them. So I brought this human woman to relieve Grandfather Great King's desires."

As Mo Fan was being brought into the cave dwelling, he overheard a conversation.

He instinctively looked up and saw that there were quite a few demons inside. On the main seat sat an extremely tall black-clad strongman.

The strongman had an open chest, a big belly, and a face covered in a thick beard, with hair even on his chest, resembling the Black Whirlwind from the tales of Liangshan heroes.

In the strongman's arms was a petite woman.

The woman's skin was fair, she wore a long blue dress, and her slender waist could be held with one of the strongman's rough hands. She was crying heavily, her eyes red and swollen, and her body trembling.

Compared to the strongman, the woman looked like a beauty next to a beast, with a stark contrast in both appearance and size.

Even though the strongman was sitting on a stone chair, his massive size didn't affect Mo Fan's judgment.

"What a Black Whirlwind, damn it, even sitting down he's taller than me. If he stands up, he must be over three meters tall, right?" Mo Fan muttered to himself, then shifted his gaze to the other demons in the cave. Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.

On either side of the strongman's stone chair stood two demons with human bodies and pig heads, each holding a long-handled giant axe. They looked fierce and powerful, likely boars that had gained intelligence.

Below them were various other demons, most of whom, like One-Eye and the Black Robe Demon Officer, had mostly human forms. What caught Mo Fan's attention the most were the three demons sitting behind three special stone tables.

These three demons were different from the other humanoid demons. Compared to them, these three almost couldn't be called demons at all; they looked entirely human!

Whether it was the humanoid demons in the cave or One-Eye and the Black Robe Demon Officer, they all had complete human bodies but still retained some demon characteristics.

But the three demons behind the stone tables were different. They were just like the strongman, with no demon characteristics at all, looking entirely human.

Compared to the strongman's visually striking ugly appearance, these three demons looked more human.

One demon wore a red robe, with skin as white as jade and a delicate face. His eyes were narrow and slightly feminine. If he swapped the red robe for a scholar's robe, he'd look quite scholarly.

Another demon wore a white robe, with skin even darker than the strongman's, creating a stark contrast. He had a middle-aged face, stood over two meters tall, and looked robust and powerful, as if he had endless strength.

The last demon wore a yellow robe, with ordinary looks and complexion, and a simple, honest face, looking like someone who rarely smiled or spoke.

Mo Fan naturally didn't think they were truly human.

Being able to drink in this demon cave dwelling, they couldn't possibly be human.

While Mo Fan was sizing up these demons, they were also sizing up the newcomers.

"One-Eye, can't you see that this general is drinking with the other generals and Grandfather Great King?" The red-robed demon spoke first, sounding somewhat displeased, as if scolding One-Eye.

"General, please calm down. I'm here for an important matter that requires Grandfather Great King's decision!" One-Eye quickly explained.

Hearing this, the red-robed demon's expression softened slightly. Then he turned his gaze to the Black Robe Demon Officer and asked, "Are you here to see Grandfather Great King too, old scorpion?"

So he's the Scorpion Demon!

Mo Fan understood immediately. No wonder he had two pairs of hands; scorpions do have six legs, after all.

Four hands and two legs matched perfectly.

"To answer the Fourth General, I'm here to ask for some wine. Does the Fourth General have any fine wine to spare?" the Black Robe Demon Officer replied with a smile.

"This wine is brewed from Polygonatum, a spirit wine. It's not something a mere Demon Officer like you can taste," the red-robed demon sneered, then picked up a cup of wine and drank it, ignoring the Scorpion Demon. This chapter is updated first at novelping(.)com.

The Scorpion Demon didn't mind and instead looked at the strongman on the main seat with One-Eye.

That must be the Demon King of Black Wind Mountain!

"One-Eye, what is it? Speak up and let me hear it," the Demon King said, looking at One-Eye.

"Grandfather Great King, it's like this..." One-Eye began to explain Mo Fan's situation, also having Green-Faced and the Bird Demon describe it in detail.

"Oh, is that so?" The Demon King nodded, then looked at Mo Fan with disdain, saying, "What an ugly thing!"

After saying this, the Demon King shifted his gaze to the trembling Rabbit Demon and said, "Rabbit Demon, lift your head and let me see!"

The Rabbit Demon trembled and instinctively lifted its head.

"What a beauty!" Upon seeing the Rabbit Demon's face, the Demon King's eyes lit up, but then he frowned slightly and said, "You look lovely, but your cultivation is too low!"

With that, the Demon King spat out an item, which floated to the Rabbit Demon's front with a wave of his hand.

Mo Fan looked and saw it was half a ginseng root, resembling the legendary mountain ginseng, with a strong medicinal fragrance emanating from it.

"This is half a Greater Polygonatum, a Yellow-Grade Low-Tier Spirit Herb. It can help you further transform. Eat it!"

"Ah?" The Rabbit Demon was stunned, then looked up at the Demon King, asking incredulously, "Is this really for me?"

"Why so much nonsense? If I say it's for you, then it's for you!"

"You're a lucky minor demon. Since you're a newly promoted minor demon of Black Wind Mountain, you should join us.

From now on, stay by my side and serve me well!" The Demon King waved his hand, deciding the Rabbit Demon's fate with a single sentence.

"Thank you, Grandfather Great King!" The Rabbit Demon, though naive, wasn't foolish. Realizing this was a great opportunity, it quickly swallowed the half Greater Polygonatum and began to chew.

"Roar!" At this moment, Erha, who had been lying in a heap, suddenly growled at the Demon King, standing up with its tiger body, wagging its tail vigorously, like a dog trying to please its owner.

"Though you haven't undergone Demon Transformation, you have some spirit. Today, I'm in a good mood, so I'll help you transform!" The Demon King laughed, spitting out a small purple grass that floated in front of Erha.

"This Purple Essence Grass may be low-grade, but it's still a spirit herb. It can help you refine your bones and transform!"

Erha drooled, immediately swallowing the Purple Essence Grass in one gulp.

Seeing the two companions who came with him receive such fortune, Mo Fan was thrilled, feeling a bit envious. He also looked at the Demon King with eager eyes, hoping for his own opportunity!
