Eiravyne looked at him, the man who haunted her nightmares now standing before her, an ominous presence she couldn’t escape.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady her trembling voice.

“I didn’t know if I was allowed to ask for that!” she said, her words coming out in a rush.Full novel: His Crimson Obsession — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Ilkar’s expression darkened, his eyes narrowing with disdain.

He stepped closer, his voice a low, venomous hiss.

“Or perhaps you like how things have turned out! Is that it? You enjoy this misery? You revel in your suffering?”

Eiravyne was too fragile to even listen to him mock her or sense how pathetic her past life was.

She immediately said, “I get it… you came to check if I am still alive and healthy to take my blood. As you see… I still am.”

Ilkar smirked, then he sat on her bed, holding her arm in his grip.

She felt breakable under his touch, every ounce of strength seeming to drain from her body.

His eyes gleamed with a predatory hunger as he leaned in closer.

“Let’s taste that rotten blood of yours then,” he said, his voice a cruel whisper.

“That fucking blood that people went crazy for. I have to say, the sight is not tempting at all.”

Eiravyne’s breath caught in her throat as Ilkar’s grip tightened around her arm.

The cold, dismissive words stung more than any physical pain she had endured.

She closed her eyes, trying to brace herself for what was to come.

He was too close.

Ilkar moved swiftly from sitting on the bed to being on top of her, trapping her beneath his body.

Eiravyne gasped for air, her heart pounding wildly as she saw the cruel look in his eyes.

She was on high alert, expecting him to take her blood.

To do that, he would have to hurt her, cut her somewhere.

But he wasn’t holding anything.

Ilkar grabbed both of her arms, pinning them above her head with a vice-like grip.

She tried to struggle, but his strength was overwhelming.

“Eiravyne Sangrever, what part of you being mine don’t you understand?” he snarled, his voice a dark, threatening growl. This story is hosted at g.com.

She bit her lip so hard she tasted blood, her mind a whirlwind of panic and desperation.

She wanted to escape, to be free.

Being this close to the most dangerous man in her life, according to her family, felt like having hot, boiling oil poured over her head.

Her panic intensified, clouding her thoughts and making it impossible to think clearly.

In her frantic state, she bit down harder on her lower lip, inadvertently injuring it.

A few drops of blood welled up and trickled down, their metallic taste filling her mouth.

Ilkar’s eyes flicked to her bleeding lip, and a sinister smile spread across his face.

“Well, well,” he murmured, his voice a chilling whisper.

“It seems you’ve saved me the trouble.”

With a predatory gleam in his eyes, Ilkar lowered his head, his tongue flicking out to taste the blood on her lip.

Eiravyne shuddered, revulsion and fear coursing through her veins.

His grip on her wrists tightened, ensuring she couldn’t escape his hold.

“You see, Eiravyne,” he whispered against her skin, his breath hot and sickeningly intimate.

“This disgusting blood holds power that makes people go crazy….it is …just like a drug …to poor fragile souls”

She whimpered, tears blurring her vision as she felt utterly powerless beneath him.

The weight of his body pressed her deeper into the mattress, making it difficult to breathe.

Ilkar’s cruelty seemed boundless, his desire to break her spirit evident in every malicious word and action.

His eyes, cold and calculating, remained fixed on her face, taking in every twitch of discomfort, every flinch of pain.

Eiravyne’s breath caught in her throat as she felt his tongue move with almost ritualistic precision.

The touch of his wet, cold tongue against her warm, trembling skin sent a chill down her spine.

She could feel the weight of his dominance, his control, pressing down on her like a suffocating blanket.

In that moment, as he tasted her blood, she felt utterly exposed, vulnerable in a way that transcended physical restraint.

His action was not just an act of dominance but a violation, a reminder of her powerlessness in his presence.

Ilkar’s eyes narrowed slightly as he drew back, a look of mild disgust flickering across his face. This chapter was copied from g.com without permission.

He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, the gesture casual yet filled with contempt.

“Disgusting,” he muttered, his voice laced with disdain.

He looked down at her with a sneer, his gaze cold and unyielding.

“Your blood tastes of weakness, Eiravyne. It’s thin, tainted with fear and despair. Not at all what I expected from someone who supposedly possesses such… value.”

He chuckled darkly, the sound sending a chill down her spine.

“They say your blood is special, that it holds some secret power,” he continued, his tone mocking.

“But all I taste is mediocrity, a feeble attempt at greatness. Perhaps people exaggerated your worth, or perhaps you’ve simply disappointed me once again.”

Eiravyne’s heart sank at his words, the humiliation and helplessness washing over her like a wave.

She knew then, more clearly than ever, that she was at the mercy of a man whose cruelty knew no bounds, a man who took pleasure not just in her pain, but in her degradation and ultimate failure to meet his expectations.

She gasped for breath, her eyes filled with tears as she looked at him.

“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to dis—”

Before she could say more, Ilkar stood away from her, interrupting her with a cold, dismissive gesture.

His eyes bore into hers with an icy intensity as he spoke, cutting off her apology before it could fully form.

“Save your apologies, Eiravyne,” he said, his voice dripping with contempt.

“They mean nothing to me..you’re clearly useless!”

At that moment, a knock on the door startled them, and Karl appeared urgently.

When he saw Ilkar with Eiravyne, concern flickered across his face.

“Is everything alright, my lord? I just sensed her…” Before Karl could finish his sentence, Ilkar cut him off with a sharp look.

“Either she is too knowledgeable on the matter or she is just useless,” Ilkar sneered, his voice filled with disdain.

“Either way, you better find a way to…”

Karl interjected quickly, his tone firm and reassuring.

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it….she will be ready !”
