Sebastian lowered his eyes to the woman in his arms and looked at her lips which are struggling under her teeth and freed them, his thumb tracing her lower lip intimately.
He wanted to kiss her again but was pushed away by her harshly, making him stumble backwards because of the sudden impact.
“What are you doing?” shouted Zara rubbing her lips, her cheeks flushed in red.
She walked past him and hid behind Paula, her fists clenched around her dress in firm grip, tensed by Sebastian’s overwhelming welcome kiss.
Paula recovered from her shock and protected Zara behind her, as though it’s not her who enjoyed the kiss earlier.
“Sebastian Wild! We are here to talk. You better behave.”
She warned him and patted Zara’s hand which is holding her dress.
Zara can be weak in front of Sebastian but she isn’t like her, especially when it concerns her baby.
“Ms. Adams, I am glad you had her back but you can let your guard down when you are with me.”
Sebastian spoke, his eyes staring at Zara who hid her small frame behind her friend and buried his hands in his pockets as they itched to drag her towards him.
Paula is taller and a bit thinner than Zara but she protected her like a hen protecting chick under it’s wing.
“How can I when you are threatening her?” talked back Paula sitting on the sofa and dragged the blushing woman to sit beside her.
Zara scratched the armrest anxiously as she is still recovering from the passionate kiss and tried her best to get hold of herself.
Did he really kiss her?
No greeting. Not a word about her well being and he straight went for a kiss.
How could he?
She licked her lips, feeling the tingles from the kiss and restrained herself from thinking further because the kiss just reminded her of all the memories she buried deep in her heart.
He is making her weak again.
She shouldn’t be vulnerable like her old self.
She should make her stand strong and confront him about his crazy actions.
“You should blame your stubborn friend. She disturbed my peaceful life. How can I let her go?”
Sebastian said as he walked towards Zara and sat on the armrest beside her, taking her hand into his.
Zara totally forgot about the fourth person in the chamber as her focus is on the man who entwined his fingers with hers.
She gasped and glanced at their clasped hands, feeling butterflies in her tummy because of his little gestures.
She raised her head to look into his dark eyes which are looking back at her deeply and gulped, getting lost in them.
Paula and Simon gnawed at their actions in awe and lowered their heads, feeling embarrassed.
Sebastian is intimidating Zara and the poor girl is totally enchanted by him.
“You both came to consensus and parted ways at your own will. You can’t disturb her peaceful life now.”
Sebastian’s grip tightened around Zara when he heard her words and looked at her, his expression unreadable.
“Will you let her go if I asked you to?”
He questioned Paula to which she laughed, looking at him as if he had cracked a joke and said “You kidding me? Why would I let my best friend go?”
Sebastian smirked at her answer and slowly unclasped his hand from Zara’s before saying “Why won’t you? She is just a girl. You can find another best friend who is better than her.”
He played with her fingers and kissed the back of her hand, brushing his lips on her knuckles, making her twitch in unease.
Zara wanted to take back her hand but he held it tightly, not giving her chance to escape.
“No one is better than her. She is my baby. My best friend. I can never find someone like her in this entire world.”
Paula shouted angrily, glaring at Sebastian, feeling irritated by his ridiculous words.
But he only smiled at her agitation and grabbed Zara’s chin, lifting it up to look into her sparkle eyes.
“You are right Ms. Adams. No one is better than her. No one made me crazy like she did. No one captured my soul like she did with her sparkle eyes. No one made me vulnerable like she did with her touch.”
Paula didn’t know how to counter attack him after hearing his words.
This is the best confession she has ever heard.
Forget about Zara, she fell for his words right then and there.
If only Zara is from another family, she would’ve encouraged her to accept Sebastian but she knew about her family.
Zara’s eyes turned red and placed her hand on his which is now on her cheek.
“I can’t be with you. Pease don’t do this to me.”
Her voice trembled with each word she uttered and closed her eyes to hide her agony.
She couldn’t hear anymore of his words because she’ll lose herself.
She is already feeling devastated to reject him because she loved him for many years and here he is asking her to be with him but she couldn’t because of her family.
Paula felt sad for Zara as she can understand how much effort Zara put in rejecting him.
But somethings can’t be controlled.
“Why?”
Sebastian asked, resting his forehead on hers, his voice hoarse, filled with hurt.
He is dying to be with her and would do anything to get her back. He only needs her assurance. He can win the world for her.
But why is she so against their relationship?
Zara let her tears fall as she can’t do this anymore.
If he asked her to be with him again maybe she’ll say yes but then she’ll lose her family. Find the original chapter at g.com.
“We have no future. We don’t work.”
She tried to speak through her tears but Sebastian shook his head, sitting up straight.
“Let me talk to your parents.”
He said wiping her tears and kissed her forehead, his heart wrenching in pain.
Zara shook her head vigorously when he talked about her parents.
No way!
She would never allow him to meet her dad. Not even in her dreams.
“I would rather die than tell them about us. My dad would kill me with his own hands if he knew about our past.”
Sebastian closed his eyes, hearing her agonising words and took a deep breath.
He is trying his best to control his temper because she’s not even willing to give them a chance.
Why?
“Let’s end this now.”
Zara said as she held his hands in hers, hoping to put an end to their entanglement.
A part of her wanted him to nod his head but another part, most part of her doesn’t want him to agree.
She’s such a hypocrite bitch.
She is the one who is pushing him away but then wants him to come to her again.
But she has to do this for their own good even though her heart is bleeding.
Sebastian gritted his teeth, his eyes boring holes on her without answering and tried to say something but Zara didn’t let him.
“Do you love me?”
His eyes gave off a surprised look hearing her question.
Does he love her?
All he knew is that he can’t live without her in his life.
Does that mean he loves her?
He is not sure about his feelings but he need her like she is the oxygen of his life.
She is haunting him like ghost.
Her eyes, smile, touch, voice touched the deepest part of his soul and he can never imagine his life without her. He knew that much for sure.
