Sebastian stared at Zara’s back and his heart sank when he heard her sobbing.

He slowly sat up on the ground and hugged her from behind, letting her weak body lean on him and let her cry, caressing her hair softly.

Zara is confused and so mad at herself for letting her carry away by her desire and given with her personality, she knew she paid a lot by having sex with him.Full novel: His Sparkling Sunshine — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After an hour, they will part ways and she didn’t understand why and how she did this kind of thing with someone who can’t be significant in her life?

Sebastian guessed her thoughts and felt guilty.

He shouldn’t have lost his senses and manipulated her into doing something like this with him.

He hurt her and didn’t know how to reverse the damage he caused.

He looked at her shaking shoulders and tightened his hands around her before placing a lingering kiss on her smooth back.

Other than consoling her in his way, he is clueless about how to deal with her, so he said nothing and just hugged her till she vented her sorrow or whatever emotions she’s going through.

After some time, Zara removed his hands from her and got up to dress up fully.

Sebastian did the same and stood up, hoping to look at her face but she lowered her head, staring at the ground.

Taking a deep breath, he stepped forward, entering her breathing zone and held her face, raising it up to make her look at him but she didn’t lift her eyes.

Feeling defeated, he kissed her forehead and wiped her tears with his thumbs.

He opened his mouth to say something, to dissolve the tension in her heart but she walked out of the woods silently.

When they came here a while ago, they were so happy and interlocked their hands like a couple but now they’re like two strangers walking side by side, maintaining a decent distance as she wished.

The difference killed Sebastian but he didn’t express his displeasure and just followed Zara.

After coming out of the woods, Zara felt tired and her legs gave out.

She felt dull ache in her abdomen, reminding her of their intimacy and her mood worsened more.

Sebastian observed her weary body and hired a taxi to take them back to her house.

Selina is sleeping soundly when they arrived, so they retreated to her room silently.

Zara locked herself in the bathroom as soon as they entered her bedroom, leaving Sebastian alone.

He wandered around her tiny room, observing her things, trying to connect him with her world.

He liked her personal space instantly, it’s very clean not like his messy room.

She organised everything neatly and a gentle smile adorned his face.

Inside the bathroom, Zara pulled down her pants hastily as she felt her thighs sticky.

She saw the traces of his release on her inner thighs and sighed heavily.

Even now, she would’ve brushed it off as a dream if not for her aching body and jelly legs which are like a slap to her face for being unfilial to her family.

She really committed a grave mistake and didn’t know how to face her father after this.

Exhaling sharply, she took the toilet paper and cleaned her sweet spot, erasing his traces but grunted when her mind replayed the exact moment where he spilled into her with a growl.

She may wash the traces but can never wash away the memory and it will forever haunt her like a ghost.

She looked at her reflection in the mirror and spotted the red mark that stood proudly on her creamy skin and rubbed it hard, thinking it as a rash but when she pulled down her collar, she is terrified to see the hickeys all over her breasts.

The memory of him sucking her skin and whispering in her ear, flooded back, making her more vulnerable.

She gripped the tabletop washbasin tight, popping out her veins and thought about him, who claimed her with brutal possessiveness as if she is destined to be his from the beginning.

She clutched her hair, feeling scared and helpless about her situation.

How can she continue her life like nothing happened?

She can’t listen to his music without thinking about their memory and can never pretend to be normal.

She wants to scream out loud and pound her head on the wall to vent her emotions but she can’t keep him waiting in her room forever.

Thus she washed her face, gathered her emotions and stepped out of the bathroom to see Sebastian sitting on her bed, looking at her photographs on the nightstand.

She didn’t utter a word nor approached him but leaned her body on the bathroom door, staring at his smiling face.

She can stand here all day and watch him smile peacefully but she couldn’t as he already sensed her presence and turned towards her, seizing her wandering thoughts.

Sebastian smiled after seeing her come out refreshed and hoped to see her smile at him in return but she avoided his eyes and walked towards him.

She chose to sit on the bed, far away from him but he held her hand and made her sit beside him.

Zara wants to pull back her hand but stopped when he asked “Do you regret it?”

She stiffened at his question and shook her head.

“No.”

Sebastian felt like a huge weight lifted off his shoulders after hearing her answer because from the moment they left the woods, she stayed silent, didn’t let him hold her hand or attempted to even look at his face for more than a second.

He assumed that she regretted sleeping with him and that thought suffocated him because he didn’t regret it a bit, on the contrary he felt so lucky and blessed to have that moment with her.

Zara didn’t expect Sebastian to shoot her with such question.

Regret?

She only felt guilty for her actions but never regretted of what they had in the woods.

She is embarrassed and felt so awkward to face him which is why she has been avoiding him.

Period.

She scratched her neck, sensing his gaze on her and hesitated to say the words she prepared in the bathroom.

She shouldn’t think of backing away now.

She should do this.

Sebastian clenched his jaw as his eyes fell on the bite mark on her neck and heat rushed to his groin, reminiscing about her taste.

He tucked her hair strands which are blocking his view behind her ear and leaned towards her, inhaling her sweet smell.

Oh fuck!

She’s fucking alluring.

He couldn’t resist the urge to give her another hickey and did as he wished but Zara pushed him away, not giving him the chance to advance further.

She put some distance between them and took a deep breath, pulling her collar closer and spoke, her voice full of determination.

“This should be locked and erased from our memories, it’s time for us to face our reality.”

Her reminder made his face ashen.

What she said is true but he didn’t want to face their reality yet.

Maybe they really didn’t have a chance.

If only he is a commoner who can be with her without restrains but there are no if’s in the real world.

He let out a heavy sigh and opened his mouth to say something but his tummy growled, disturbing the silence and he scratched his neck in embarrassment.

Shit!!

Why the fuck did he get hungry now?

But he can’t blame himself because he gets hungry frequently and also his energy drained from their intimacy.

Zara couldn’t hold her laughter after seeing his embarrassed face and laughed out loud.

How can he be so adorable?

She thought and stood up, to cook something for him but he wrapped his hands around waist, pulling her onto his lap.

He buried his face into her neck and groaned softly, feeling content.

Zara didn’t struggle but closed her eyes, savouring the moment.

She is happy that he is reluctant to leave her and liked his clingy side.

Even if it’s his pretence or a moment of weakness because of sex, she didn’t care.

This moment will forever be cherished by her.

“I’ll cook noodles. What do you say?”

He hummed in response, tightening his hold around her and rubbed his nose against her cheek.

Heavens!!

How wonderful would it be if he can hug her like this everyday of his life?

Zara loosened his hands on her, though she wants to be in his embrace a little longer and took him to the kitchen.

Sebastian leaned on the kitchen counter and watched as Zara cooked food for him.

The time is running fast and in few minutes he would be gone to face the reality of his life but he wants to bag as many memories of her as possible.

Zara used all her cooking skills to prepare food for Sebastian and served him with love in fifteen minutes and her face glowed with happiness when he looked at her with appreciation after seeing the noodles bowl she garnished for him.

He ate the food with utmost care because he wants to remember the taste of her cooking while Zara sat beside him, watching him with so much longing.

No matter how much he tried to stall the time by eating slowly, he emptied the bowl in no time.

Having no other reason to stay, he stood up to leave reluctantly when Zara opened the door for him.

It’s time to part their ways.

They went out to hire a taxi and as soon as they stood by the road, a taxi stopped by as if telling them that they had no chance to even have their last talks.

After telling the address to the driver, Zara paid the fare and turned her back to him, ready to leave because she couldn’t bear to send him away.

Tears streamed down her cheeks but she steeled her heart, determined to let him go.

That is the right thing she can do for both of them.

She stifled her sobs and increased her pace when Sebastian grabbed her wrist, turned her around and kissed her lips hard.

He wanted nothing but to kiss her lips, melt her into his arms when he saw her leaving back.

There is no way he is willing to let her go yet.

He just can’t.

He held her waist, crushing her body into his and devoured her lips as if he wanted to swallow them.

Zara fisted his hair, standing on her tip toes to match his height and poured all her hidden love into the kiss.

She’ll never have a chance to see him again in the future and this is her last moment with him and it hurts.

She pulled him closer, holding him possessively and kissed him hard as if her life depended on it.

He might not be hers but right now, just for tonight he is her man.

Her Bash.

Just hers alone.

They are unwilling to let go of each other even though the oxygen drained from their lungs but they have to because his people are waiting for his return.

Sebastian left her lips and leaned his forehead on hers, stroking her cheeks tenderly.

“Send me off.”

He whispered, looking into her sparkle eyes and with unshed tears, Zara smiled at him before taking a step back, breaking their connection in the process.

“It’s time Bash.”

She said, tears threatening to fall but she held them back stubbornly.

Sebastian’s heart shook when he thought about his future without her.

Is it really time?

No!

He pulled her into a bone crushing hug and closed his eyes, feeling her warmth against him and inhaled her smell to remember it for a lifetime.

There is a storm brewing in him when he thought about leaving her but he can only blame his fate.

After hugging her to his chest tightly for one last time, he kissed the top of her head and got into the taxi.

The driver drove off and Zara waved her hand as a goodbye but Sebastian just stared at her through the rolled down window, his pupils capturing her figure.

He didn’t take his eyes off her till she is out of his sight and closed his eyes, a lone tear descending down his eye.

It’s over.

Zara turned around when she couldn’t see the taxi anymore and tears streamed down her cheeks uncontrollably.

He left.

Her Bash left.

And there will never be any interaction between them again.

Why does her heart feel heavy?

She placed her hand on her chest and ran back to the house, her world fading at the back of her mind.

She locked herself in her room and cried hysterically, curling her body in the bed.

Maybe it’s the end to their fate.

This is the reality.

She buried their precious memory deeper in her heart and cried all night.

He can never be hers and she should accept that.

They both felt content to have that one memorable night together.

They couldn’t ask for more.

Inside the taxi, Sebastian closed his eyes in deep regret, thinking about Zara because he didn’t know her name.

What could be the worst part than not knowing the name of the woman he just gave his heart?

She is really cruel to hide her name from him and he is stupid for not asking her.

Is this really the end?
