A group of four went down the stairs all the way toward the dining hall.

Except for Will, the three young wizards all felt something was wrong.

Clearly it was Halloween Eve, yet the entire castle was filled with an eerie silence.Full novel: Hogwarts: From a Wizard to a God — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Apart from the occasional flapping of bat wings, it was hard to hear any movement in the massive castle.

Will personally attributed the reason to the castle of Hogwarts having too good soundproofing, and by now he had also recalled the plot—students from all four houses should have already returned to their dormitories.

In this eerily quiet atmosphere, Sylvia and the other two closely followed behind Will, as if afraid of encountering something terrifying, until they descended to a lower floor and suddenly heard noises from beneath the stairs.

Several people looked in the direction of the sound.

Below the spiral staircase, two young wizards were running.

“Harry, slow down, I’m falling behind!” Ron Weasley panted heavily, “Watch out for that staircase, it’s going to move!”

Harry Potter jumped a step while panting, the sweat on his face sliding his glasses halfway down: “If we don’t hurry up, Hermione Granger is in danger! The one in the dungeons is a Troll, Ron Weasley, a Troll!! If you hadn’t said those things, how could Hermione Granger have been crying in the girls’ bathroom until now!”

His stamina was indeed better than Ron Weasley’s, probably beaten out of him from being chased and beaten by Dudley Dursley and the others when he was a child.

On the upper level of the spiral staircase, several people looked at each other in dismay.

“There is a Troll in the dungeons? They are going to save me?” Hermione Granger was so clever that she quickly figured things out.

Although she didn’t know how the Troll got there, she could easily understand that these two brothers still thought she was crying in the girls’ bathroom and were preparing to go rescue her.

“Never mind them, let’s go straight to the dining hall.” Sylvia linked arms with Hermione Granger, looking like she was venting anger for her friend, “Let those two fools go spend Halloween with the Troll.”

“Bu—but that’s a Troll!” Neville Longbottom seemed to recall something terrifying: “Trolls eat children!”

“Trolls, XXXX-rated Magical Creatures—though I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s magical about them—are described as terrifying creatures, reaching heights of 12 feet and weighing a ton; powerful, stupid, unpredictable, and prone to violence.” Hermione Granger truly lived up to her title as a walking encyclopedia, reciting the Troll’s profile directly.

If Will remembered correctly, this should be content from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

“Oh heavens, they’re going to be smashed into Halloween meat pies by the Troll!” Hermione Granger said anxiously, “We have to go remind them.”

She wasn’t a cold-hearted witch to begin with; she usually just used arrogance to cover up her inner fear of falling behind.

“You’re right, Hermione Granger! I’m going to warn Harry Potter.” Neville Longbottom also grew worried.

Although he and Ron Weasley were only ordinary friends, Harry Potter took good care of him and had even clashed with Malfoy in class earlier over his Remembrall.

Hermione Granger broke free from Sylvia’s arm and ran downward with Neville Longbottom.

“Hermione Granger!” Sylvia shouted with some concern.

Will shrugged, pulling Sylvia along, “Let’s go. Don’t tell me you want to watch the two of them get pounded into Halloween meat pies by the Troll? And then we can shovel them up.”

“Ew—” Sylvia didn’t know what she thought of, shuddering as she followed behind the two with Will.

When the group reached the underground corridor, Will saw Harry Potter and Ron Weasley sprinting toward them, with the Troll chasing them from behind wielding a large club. Follow the newest chapters on NovelPing.

Although Harry Potter and Ron Weasley were running quite fast, a single step from the Troll equaled several of theirs.

It smashed things as it walked, turning the entire corridor into a complete mess, much like how you usually swat cockroaches at home.

Except the cockroaches here were none other than The Savior of the wizarding world.

Amidst the huge commotion of the Troll knocking over a suit of armor, Harry Potter strained his neck shouting at Ron Weasley to speed up.

“Ron Weasley, run faster!”

“That’s easy for you to say!!” Ron Weasley’s face was as red as his hair, panting heavily as he followed behind Harry Potter.

It seemed that after discovering Hermione Granger wasn’t in the girls’ bathroom, the two hadn’t foolishly fought the Troll, but the Troll apparently didn’t want to let them go.

“That’s Hermione Granger!” Harry Potter suddenly spotted Hermione Granger and Neville Longbottom running down from the staircase, “And Neville Longbottom!”

“Run! Run away!” Ron Weasley felt like his lungs were about to explode.

Not only was the thing behind them fast, but it also reeked terribly; what was even more life-threatening was that Hermione Granger, whom they had come to rescue, was right at the staircase, on the edge of danger once again.

“Neville Longbottom! Hurry and take Hermione Granger away!”

At this moment, Sylvia and Will had also just descended the stairs, happening to hear Ron Weasley’s words.

Seeing two more people come down, Harry Potter was so anxious he felt like coughing up blood: “Run back up! Hurry!”

Yet Will seemed not to hear his words, actually stepping out in front of everyone else.

This made Harry Potter even more anxious.

Although Will was in Slytherin, Harry Potter had never thought Will was a bad person; coupled with rumors he heard that Will was very unpopular in Slytherin, he still felt a good impression toward Will.

“Harry Potter, don’t forget, you are a Wizard.”

Afterwards, Harry Potter seemed to see Will’s silver-gray eyes flash.

Will activated [Wizard’s Eye], clearly seeing the magic on the Troll’s body.

It was a bizarre picture, like large patches of scattered thick lines wrapping around a tiny core inside.

The source of the thick lines was the Troll’s skin.

Will realized that books said this thing was classified as a Magical Creature precisely because of this layer of skin; this skin containing “thick-lined magic” possessed extremely high magical resistance, and casting magic on a Troll would significantly reduce its effectiveness.

He instantly figured out how to deal with the Troll, waving his wand.

Seeing Will gently wave his wand, Harry Potter felt that at this moment he somewhat understood what Slytherin meant by “elegance”.

“Aguamenti!”

With a wave of Will’s wand, a massive gush of clear water spewed out.

An arm-thick column of water surged forward, smashing into the Troll’s chest.

The raised splashes instantly obscured the Troll’s tiny head; with a head only the size of a cocoa bean, the Troll instantly didn’t know which direction to charge, and its speed slowed down immediately.

Poor Ron Weasley, who was running slower, got most of his body drenched by the splashing water.

You must know today was October 31st, and Ron Weasley, who had just been sweating profusely from running, instantly began to shiver.

However, seeing the Troll hindered, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley were overjoyed, pushing themselves a bit harder as they ran panting to the others’ side.

Meanwhile, its vision obstructed, the Troll wildly swung the club in its hands, continually smashing surrounding armor and sculptures, causing a rumbling noise throughout the corridor.

Seeing the timing was ripe, Will stopped the Aguamenti.

“Glacius!”

A pale blue chill spewed from the tip of Will’s wand, striking the drenched Troll.

Within just a few breaths of time, large sheets of ice froze across the Troll’s body.

Especially on the Troll’s head, which received Will’s special attention, that cocoa-bean-like head had already been wrapped by a thick layer of ice.

And even so, this Troll was still not knocked down, which was enough to show this thing’s formidable physical constitution.

Fortunately, the Troll was indeed as stupid as could be.

Because of the ice, its breathing became increasingly difficult, and then the Troll actually smashed its head straight into the corridor wall.

Will saw it clearly: the Troll’s head was almost entirely driven into its chest cavity by the strong mutual impact force.

Then the Troll collapsed onto the ice, and the entire corridor was covered by a thin layer of ice.

“Hoo… hoo… Let’s hurry and go, th-this place is too dangerous.” Harry Potter still felt his whole body burning hot, the breath he exhaled seeming to carry scorching flames, and only the cold air sucked into his lungs made him feel slightly better.

Meanwhile, Ron Weasley was shaking like a sieve, his teeth clattering away as he spoke as if possessed by Quirrell: “Y-y-yes indeed, this place is t-t-too cold, l-l-let’s hurry back.”

“Perhaps we’ll have to wait a moment before going back.” Neville Longbottom tugged at Will’s robe.

Did Will even need him to tug?

He had already heard the footsteps on the stairs.

Turning his head, he happened to see Professor McGonagall leading the way; her face was deathly pale at the moment, but she was visibly furious—
