Early the next morning, Will leisurely carried a small book trunk out of his dormitory.
The lantern pendants in the common room had already disappeared, and it was unknown who had lowered them.
Some Slytherin students stared at Will with hostile eyes, but Will treated them as if they were nothing.
Ignoring them, Will followed the long, automatically moving, and even potentially disappearing stairs to the Hogwarts dining hall.
For breakfast, Will preferred slightly charred sausages paired with ketchup-spread toast.
Part of the reason was that these things tasted good, and the other part was that this breakfast was quick to make.
However, at Hogwarts, he didn’t need to cook at all.
Breakfast at Hogwarts was very bountiful, and the House-elves had prepared a vast array of various dishes.
While reading “Detailed Explanation of Gamp’s Law of Elemental Transfiguration” and heavily chewing on a tenderly roasted chicken leg, Will suddenly had a Young Wizard sit down beside him.
During meal times, Will would not be completely engrossed in his book, and he looked with a peculiar gaze at Sylvia, who had sat down next to him.
“What is it?”
“The whole of Slytherin is saying that you were the one who hung Selwyn and the others up on the lanterns,” Sylvia lowered her voice to say.
“It was me, so what?” Will said indifferently.
“You are bringing trouble upon yourself!” Sylvia explained, “Behrens, I know you are a genius, but you must realize that most of the students in Slytherin come from Wizarding families in the Wizarding World. Doing this is undoubtedly making enemies for yourself. Besides, haven’t you noticed? You are already somewhat isolated.”
Around Will, aside from Sylvia, there wasn’t a single Young Wizard.
“I don’t care.” Will was unconcerned, as if Sylvia had just been telling him that eating too many chicken legs would make him fat.
He really didn’t care.
During his time studying at Hogwarts, no one dared to truly do anything to him.
After all, this was Dumbledore’s territory, and no family would have a death wish long enough to reach their claws in here.
And most importantly, he had a golden finger.
He only wanted to continuously grind levels during his time at Hogwarts; before Voldemort returned, he at least needed to grind enough to have the strength to protect himself.
Under the great power of eternal certification, Will couldn’t be bothered to waste time playing house with those little snakes.
Once his divine skill reached completion and he became the foremost figure of his generation, would these Pure-blood families still dare to harbor hostility toward him?
Sorry, but Will wasn’t an easy-going person like Old Dumbledore.
“You—” Sylvia’s small face flushed red.
Why was this fellow so obstinate?
“Alright, let’s not waste time on this matter. After breakfast, we still have to go to Transfiguration Class. Miss Lestrange, you wouldn’t want to be late on your first day of class, would you?” Will had no interest in this little girl.
How many years could he even stay at Hogwarts?
Seven!
Excluding the final year when Voldemort controlled Hogwarts, Will could only study properly here for six years.
How many days were left in those six years after deducting holidays?
Even if Will studied through Christmas and weekends, it would only be around 1,500 days!
Around 1,500 days!
How many magic books were there at Hogwarts?
Thousands upon thousands!
How much experience did Will need to grind?
Thousands upon thousands! Follow the newest chapters on g.com.
Even endless.
He needed to seize the time to study magic; how could he have the spare time to play house-style scheming games with Slytherin?
Sylvia speechlessly stared at Will, who was reading, and inwardly cursed: “Goodness, the damned Sorting Hat, why would it sort such an obvious Ravenclaw bookworm into Slytherin!”
Everything Will exuded from head to toe was entirely in the style of Ravenclaw.
Ten minutes later, “Ravenclaw newcomer Will” and Sylvia left the dining hall together, heading toward the Transfiguration classroom.
Hogwarts’ running, moving, and disappearing stairs caused Sylvia to suffer greatly; she had almost fallen just moments ago because of a disappearing staircase.
“I truly don’t know why Hogwarts bothered with these kinds of stairs!”
“I thought you knew very well. Hogwarts’ eccentric stairs are products of the Witch Hunts era. It’s said that back then, to resist the hunting of Muggles—in case they chased into the castle—Wizards could use these stairs to counterattack. Of course, the Witch Hunts were ended by the Muggle-Repelling Charm, so these stairs didn’t play a single role; on the contrary, they became a trouble for the vast majority of Hogwarts students.” Will explained while pulling Sylvia back.
“Ravenclaw over there, can you help us? We are lost, and we are going to be late for our Transfiguration Class!” Not far from Will, a red-haired Young Wizard sought help from Will.
The black-haired, bespectacled child beside him tugged at the red-haired Young Wizard’s sleeve: “Ron, how do you know he is from Ravenclaw?”
Indeed, these two were Harry and Ron, who had gotten lost because of the stairs.
“Harry, that guy practically has ‘Ravenclaw’ written on top of his head. Just think, aside from that bunch in Ravenclaw, who else would memorize so many boring things?” Ron said full of confidence; he was usually quite accurate at reading people.
“Oh, of course, follow me.”

Will wore a pleasant smile and thus led the few people to find the Transfiguration Class classroom.
“Oh, thank you, thank you very much. If not for you, we might have been late,” Harry said gratefully to Will.

“You’re welcome, we have Transfiguration Class too.” Will waved his hand.
Ron didn’t remember seeing this silver-gray-pupiled boy at the long table last night, though it was also possible he had been too engrossed in eating.
“You guys are also from Gryffindor… what is your na—”
“You few, please find a seat as soon as possible.” On the podium, Professor McGonagall interrupted Ron with a stern expression.
Ron and Harry sheepishly walked toward the back rows, while Sylvia followed Will to sit in the front row of the classroom.
Professor McGonagall glanced at the two of them and nodded slightly with satisfaction.

“Goodness, how could anyone dare to sit right under Professor McGonagall’s nose? He should have gone to Ravenclaw, how did he end up in Gryffindor?” Ron said to Harry beside him while taking out the pumpkin pasty from his pocket and chewing heavily.
“Perhaps he just loves to study.” Harry didn’t pay too much mind; he had attended six years of elementary school and had seen quite a few good students.
Before long, the two saw a bushy-haired girl and a plump little boy sit down beside them.
“Harry, look, that’s Longbottom. My parents and his grandmother chatted for quite a while in Diagon Alley previously.” At this point, Ron was convinced that Will was definitely in Gryffindor.
The students all arrived shortly after, and Professor McGonagall began the lecture.
“Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous spell in your Hogwarts coursework. Anyone who messes around in my class, I will ask them to leave and never allow them back in. I have warned you.”
“Goodness, our Head of House is truly terrifying,” Ron said.
Harry felt that Ron kept exuding that pumpkin scent, making him a bit hungry again.
“I will demonstrate something for you.”
As Professor McGonagall spoke, she waved her wand and turned the teacher’s desk into a pig.
Will, sitting in the front row, stared intently at the pig.
It oinked and trotted around the podium twice, showing no difference from a real pig.
But soon, Will’s silver-gray pupils flashed dimly as he activated the “Wizard’s Eye”.
He clearly saw the magic flow on the pig’s body, as well as the profound, bizarre, and intricate patterns.
Will dared to guarantee that when he previously turned a match into a needle, the patterns on it hadn’t been this intricate.
He could already wait no longer to begin systematic study of Transfiguration.
The students all were captivated by Professor McGonagall’s trick and couldn’t wait to start learning immediately.
Some people had already begun imagining themselves waving their wands to conjure a giant dragon; but they quickly realized that turning furniture into animals would still take a very long time.
“Everyone, before we start learning, I think you should firmly memorize Gamp’s Law of Transfiguration first. Alright, now which student can tell us what Gamp’s Law of Transfiguration is?” Professor McGonagall’s gaze swept across, and most of the students present buried their heads into their textbooks.
“What citrus law?” Ron felt a bit dizzy.
Hermione raised her hand high, and Will and Sylvia also raised their hands.
“Miss Granger.” Professor McGonagall could tell that Hermione was almost standing up.
“Gamp’s Law of Elemental Transfiguration is the basic law of Transfiguration established by the Transfiguration master and also the first Minister for Magic, Uric Gamp; this law defines the basic boundaries of Transfiguration, clarifies the areas where magic cannot reach, and also provides guiding principles for Wizards using Transfiguration.”
“Very good, it is clear that you have diligently previewed the lesson, Miss Granger. Five points to Gryffindor.” A trace of affirmation appeared on Professor McGonagall’s face.
Hermione Granger, a fine child.
“Yay!” Some Gryffindor Young Wizards beamed with joy.
“Then who can tell us about the specific rules of Gamp’s Law of Transfiguration?” Professor McGonagall stared at the few beaming Young Wizards.
Those few Young Wizards instantly lowered their heads.
Hermione’s hand remained held high.
Professor McGonagall swept her gaze across: “Hmm, Mr. Behrens, you answer.”
She didn’t want to appear overly biased; that was something Snape would do.
“1. The impossibility of creating food; 2. The unsustainability of biological forms; 3. The immutability of magical items; 4. The principle of absolute constancy of quantity; 5. The impossibility of material creation out of nothing. These are the basic rules of Gamp’s Law of Transfiguration; their detailed explanations are far too vast, with each rule having several or even dozens of academic detailed explanation papers. Please forgive my ignorance.”
Harry felt a bout of dizziness; he had never even heard of these things.
Could Will possibly call this ignorance?
“Hey, this guy is really amazing. I seriously suspect the Sorting Hat must have gone senile, sorting a Ravenclaw into Gryffindor.” Ron nudged Harry with his elbow.
But the next moment, both of them were dumbfounded.
“Very good, Mr. Behrens, what you said is extremely precise; as for those detailed explanations, that already far exceeds what someone of your age should know; ten points to Slytherin!” Professor McGonagall was very satisfied.
Will’s attitude towards studying was very upright, and she would never openly favor any house; strict fairness was her style.
Then…
Harry and Ron were so shocked their jaws almost dropped off.
Professor McGonagall continued lecturing in her stern style, “Very well, you now know Gamp’s Law of Transfiguration. In your future study and use of Transfiguration, you must firmly remember these laws of Transfiguration. You must know that behind every single law of Transfiguration lie countless accidents. So next, you are going to try to turn this match into a needle.”
The first Transfiguration Class was easy, and Will had already mastered the basics of Transfiguration long ago; turning a match into a needle was merely repeating homework.
“Splendid Transfiguration, Mr. Behrens, five points to Slytherin.”
Under Will’s guidance, Sylvia and Hermione also successfully turned their matches into needles near the end of class.
Even Neville successfully made his match thinner.
“I did it, I did it, thank you Will.”
“For helping a classmate, five points to Slytherin.” Professor McGonagall nodded in satisfaction.
Will Behrens was indeed different from other Slytherins.
In the end, Will single-handedly added 20 points for Slytherin, while Hermione added 10 points for Gryffindor.
“Goodness, that guy must be Slytherin’s secret weapon, and he even deliberately came to approach you, Harry. You must be careful.” As class ended, Ron muttered endlessly in Harry’s ear.
