Triggered another trait again?

Sheeran stared at the virtual small screen in front of him and found that this time it was a time-limited exchange trait.

Simply put, Sheeran needed to obtain guilt points from others within a specified time, and then use these guilt points to exchange for characteristic traits to permanently fix them.Full novel: Hogwarts: I Really Never Wanted to Be the Dark Lord — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

If he failed to accumulate enough guilt points or exchange any characteristic traits within the time limit, the task would be considered a failure.

Although there was no penalty, naturally there would be no reward either.

More work, more reward; no work, no reward.

Sheeran felt it was quite fair.

This anomaly appeared a few months ago.

Sheeran still hadn’t figured out the reason to this day, only knowing that some of his actions occasionally triggered traits.

These traits were very random.

Sometimes he had to choose one from multiple traits to become a fixed ability, and then upgrade the level by completing tasks.

Just like [Silver-tongued].

And there was another kind, just like the one in front of him: completing tasks to get rewards, and then using the rewards to exchange for the traits he wanted.

He glanced briefly and found that his current guilt points couldn’t even afford the cheapest trait, so he didn’t pay much attention to it and strolled into Ollivander’s Wand Shop.

The shop was very dim.

As soon as he stepped through the door, what he saw facing him were countless narrow boxes piled almost up to the ceiling, inside of which should be wands.

Professor McGonagall rested against the wall outside the shop for a long time before she barely managed to steady her emotions.

Even with her calm and serious temperament, facing the various impacts just now, her mind inevitably surged with emotions.

She turned her head to look into the shop and saw Mr.

Ollivander selecting a wand for Sheeran.

He seemed to have run into some trouble, making Sheeran try several wands in a row, none of which were suitable.

“Fussy, fussy…” Mr.

Ollivander muttered to himself as if no one else was around.

“How marvelous, to encounter two fussy customers in a single day.

This is the first time I’ve run into this in all these years.”

“Oh, try this one, twelve inches long, and the texture is very rigid.

Come on, give it a try.”

After quite a while, Sheeran finally walked out of Ollivander’s Wand Shop.

“You certainly took quite some time.” McGonagall’s gaze fell on the wand in Sheeran’s hand.

“It certainly looks like a good wand.”

“Yes, Professor McGonagall.

Twelve inches, ebony, dragon heartstring core.

Mr.

Ollivander said it’s best to be careful when using it.”

“Then you must study hard to master this wand.”

“I will, Professor.”

“Very good, very good, I can’t wait to see you wave it.

But for now, you’d better put it away first.”

McGonagall patted Sheeran on the shoulder.

“Hogwarts term starts on September 1st.

Remember to go to King’s Cross Station and board the train at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.”

“Oh, right, besides Mrs.

Hazel, don’t reveal anything about Hogwarts to anyone.”

McGonagall gave a stern warning.

After sending Sheeran back to the orphanage, McGonagall returned to Hogwarts.

Days of investigation and rushing around made her slightly tired, but her expression grew even more stern.

Sheeran’s last name, Mrs.

Hazel’s evaluation of Fabian Prewett, Hagrid’s exclamation…

These thoughts swirled and collided repeatedly in her mind, as if desperately trying to verify a certain fact.

But after the thoughts intertwined for a long time, she still couldn’t reach a final conclusion, which instead gave her a slight headache.

McGonagall vaguely felt that she had almost touched upon the truth, but was always missing the final step.

“Perhaps I should write a letter to Mrs.

Weasley and ask if Fabian used to date a Muggle girlfriend?”

This was the best method she could think of at the moment.

Molly Weasley, née Molly Prewett, was the biological younger sister of Fabian Prewett.

From a blood relationship perspective, she ought to be Sheeran’s aunt.

Perhaps she would know some past events about Fabian.

Having made up her mind, McGonagall waved her wand.

The quill on the desk moved automatically, writing a short letter on the stationery according to her will.

After writing it, McGonagall handed the letter to the owl, instructing it to deliver it to The Burrow.

Watching the direction of the owl leaving in the distance, McGonagall fell into deep thought.

…

Sheeran returned to the orphanage and was studying the things he had just bought.

Although these things looked shabby, they were all novel gadgets to him.

After fiddling with them for a while, he opened The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1, which was a must-buy textbook for enrollment, preparing to study it.

This enrollment textbook recorded some simple and practical minor spells.

But before he could look closely, he heard someone calling him from outside.

“Sheeran, Miss Granger is here to see you!”

Packing his things, Sheeran walked out of the dormitory.

Sure enough, he saw Hermione standing outside the orphanage door, stretching her head to look inside.

Seeing him come out, she raised her arm high and waved at him.

“Sheeran, over here!”

Sheeran jogged all the way to Hermione and asked, “Why are you here?”

“I want to apologize to you for last time.

We had agreed to treat you to dinner, but…”

“It doesn’t matter, your studies are more important.

And I have to thank you for your sandwich, it tasted really good.”

Hearing him say this, the little girl felt even more guilty.

Sheeran always thought of others like this.

He was simply too kind.

[Oh, sir.

I admire your linguistic art, Guilt Points + 17.]

Sheeran looked at the chattering screen floating in front of him, somewhat surprised.

He just wanted to comfort the little girl in front of him, what was wrong with him?

It was all the world’s fault.

“Besides apologizing, I also want to invite you to my house for cake.

My mom and dad aren’t home today, so we can eat a bit more.”

“You know, they always wouldn’t let me eat too much before.

Every time they said ‘Pay attention to your teeth’.

In their view, it seemed like everything in the world could be related to teeth.”

Hermione finished speaking in one breath and looked nervously into Sheeran’s eyes.

“Would you like to go?”

“Of course, thank you, Hermione.”

Perhaps because Sheeran agreed, or perhaps because under her repeated emphasis, he finally stopped calling her “Miss Granger”.

The little girl showed a brilliant smile.

“Then let’s hurry up and go!”
