Inside the ancient castle, Voldemort’s anger continued to rise as he stared at the question.
In his eyes, a wizard’s bloodline was undoubtedly proof of everything.
It represented the supreme authority of wizards.
Yet this Muggle not only completely disregarded the dignity of wizards, he wasn’t even the slightest bit interested in magic.
And this was no ordinary magic.
It was an exquisite form of magic he had never seen before!
The ability to use a person’s soul energy to heal the body itself.
Thinking about this made Voldemort both heartbroken and furious.
But when faced with the four answers, he still selected D.
This was the trick he used most often.
It had already been proven effective on Borgin and Slughorn, as well as poor Helena.
Playing hard to get.
That was the best technique for a great wizard to recruit followers.
…
In the Gryffindor common room, the three little ones immediately began a brainstorming session.
Ron was the first to ask,
“Harry, how exactly did you come to believe that you were a wizard?”
Harry shrugged.
“That’s easy. Hagrid came to Uncle Vernon’s house, opened the door with an umbrella, and then told me.”
“Harry, you’re a wizard.”
“Hagrid was so huge, there was no way he was an ordinary person. I believed him right away.”
Ron shook his head.
Anton’s situation was clearly different.
He turned to Hermione.
“What about you, Teacher’s Pet?”
Hermione’s face immediately darkened.
Why were boys this age always so childish?
Compared with these two idiots, Anton, who was mature and composed, was practically a rare species.
“Ron, giving people nicknames is boring and pointless.”
“I didn’t really believe it at first either.”
“But Headmaster Dumbledore wrote me a letter and explained everything to my family.”
Ron shook his head again.
That didn’t fit either.
Anton had already been given an explanation, yet he still refused to believe it.
He was simply born without any connection to magic.
If Ron hadn’t seen Anton’s future power first, he would never have believed that someone like this could become a powerful mage.
And one who didn’t even need a wand at that.
Ron thought for a moment.
“How about C? They’re all basically the same anyway.”
Hermione trembled with anger.
“C, Ron!”
“By Merlin’s longest pair of underpants!”
“The professors and Mr. Newt are all watching, and you actually chose C?!”
Harry reacted quickly and slapped the button corresponding to C.
Then he high-fived Ron.
“Great minds think alike.”
Seeing how outrageously ridiculous her teammates were being, Hermione could only shake her head helplessly.
“Harry, Ron.”
“If you two ever encounter another problem, don’t bother calling me.”
“I already regret being in the same house as you.”
“I think I’ll go ask Luna whether Ravenclaw has any vacant spots.”
….
In the hall of the school, the Heads of House and even the professors of various subjects had gathered together.
They stared at the options on the screen, scratching their heads.
Everyone turned toward the Muggle Studies professor, Charity Burbage, hoping to gain some inspiration from this Muggle expert.
“According to my years of research into Muggles, Mr. Anton’s previous life could be described as a rationalist among Muggles.”
“They are also called materialists. This group of people mostly…”
Seeing that Burbage was about to launch into an entire paper, Dumbledore quickly interrupted her.
“Professor Burbage, just give us the conclusion. Voldemort and Mr. Potter have already made their choices.”
“If we listen to your lecture as well, we’ll get nothing out of this.”
At Dumbledore’s command, Burbage answered seriously,
“Choose A. Most Muggles are kind and emotionally driven.”
“As long as you give them a beautiful story, they are willing to believe it.”
Dumbledore nodded and waved his wand, selecting option A.
As for the question, the chat group immediately erupted into heated discussion.
[Newt: I feel that if Anton’s previous life had come to Gryffindor, he probably would have ended up in Hufflepuff.]
[Newt: Forgive my foolishness, but I have no idea what to choose.]
[Voldemort: C. Hahahaha, Harry Potter, is this the wisdom of the Boy Who Lived?]
[Voldemort: Remember, when dealing with Muggles, you must combine kindness with authority. That’s how you earn their submission.]
[Grindelwald: Mocking him won’t change the fact that Harry once blew you to pieces, Tom.]
[Voldemort: You!!!]
[Grindelwald: The answer should be D, but Albus was obviously faster than me.]
As the three contestants settled on their answers, the screen began spinning rapidly.
At the center of the scene, Ancient One stood before the mocking Strange without saying a word.
Instead, she swung out her left palm and struck him directly in the chest.
With that single palm strike, Strange’s soul was knocked out of his body by Ancient One.
The transparent Strange stared at his own translucent hands in complete shock.
From the corner of his eye, he saw another version of himself.
The next second, this soul returned to his body.
As Strange’s soul reentered his body, even his voice began to tremble.
“What did you put in the tea?”
Ancient One calmly replied,
“I knocked your soul out of your body.”
Seeing that Strange still looked utterly disbelieving, Ancient One placed her hand directly on his head.
“Open your eyes.”
The next instant, Strange’s consciousness shot out.
It burst through Kamar-Taj and soared into the sky, flying straight into outer space.
Within the endless vacuum, he saw a butterfly.
He gently touched it with his finger, and the next second, his body split apart once again.
He arrived in a world of perfectly symmetrical scenery.
One second later, countless versions of his body continued flying outward.
They flew into a quantum world filled with enormous, multicolored spores, where everything was incredibly tiny.
In the next instant, his clothes transformed into countless hands that wrapped themselves around his body.
Ancient One’s voice slowly echoed out.
“This world is merely one among the infinite universes. And beyond us, there are countless other universes.”
As soon as Ancient One finished speaking, the world before Strange changed again.
He saw a gigantic, multicolored face.
Then his consciousness finally returned, bringing him back to the temple.
Strange stared blankly ahead, no longer possessing the certainty and arrogance he had shown before.
His voice was filled with shock as he looked at Ancient One.
“Teach me.”
[Chat Group]
[Grindelwald: Infinite dimensions! Infinite universes! And this Kamar-Taj sorcerer can send someone beyond the dimensions with a single palm strike!]
[Grindelwald: There is simply too much information. I can’t digest it all.]
[Snape: The knowledge possessed by this Kamar-Taj far exceeds ours. Neither of these two forms of magic has ever been recorded in any of our books.]
[Newt: Watching this makes me want to find a Portkey and go straight to Kamar-Taj. Unfortunately, I can’t bear to leave this screen.]
[Dumbledore: What powerful magic! What profound wisdom! It seems I’ll have to move up my schedule and increase our exchanges with the Kamar-Taj.]
[Congratulations, Harry Potter, on answering correctly. Random reward successfully drawn.]
[Congratulations, Harry Potter has received a Nimbus Two Thousand.]
….
Gryffindor common room.
With a loud thud, a wrapped flying broomstick dropped from the air, complete with a thoughtfully prepared bow.
Harry picked up the broomstick in confusion. Get faster updates on g.com.
“Nimbus Two Thousand? What’s that?”
Hearing Harry’s question, Ron suppressed his urge to complain and explained,
“You? Are you actually a wizard, Harry?!”
“The Nimbus Two Thousand is the newest and fastest flying broomstick, the official racing broom for Quidditch!”
“It’s every wizard’s dream!”
Seeing Ron’s eyes practically glowing, Harry handed the broomstick to him.
“It’s yours, Ron.”
“Without your wisdom, we never could have answered the question correctly.”
Ron immediately hugged the broomstick to his chest, his eyes almost filling with tears.
“Harry! You really are the Boy Who Lived!”
“A true friend!”
Hearing the two of them, Hermione nearly rolled her eyes into the ceiling.
“You two just got lucky! A blind cat happened to catch a dead mouse!”
“Who could have known that a single slap would really knock someone’s consciousness out of the galaxy?”
Ron clutched the broomstick and smugly said,
“Hermione, you’re jealous. Jealous of our friendship.”
“No, wait. We should call you Christine.”
Hermione immediately turned her head toward the screen.
She completely ignored the pair of brothers.
….
Inside the ancient castle, Voldemort was so furious that he nearly suffered a heart attack.
What kind of ridiculous answer was that?!
Who could have known that the answer really was a single slap that sent a person’s consciousness flying out of the galaxy?
Fortunately, the random reward was merely an insignificant flying broomstick.
If it had been the Elder Wand or a magical book from Kamar-Taj, then it would have been over.
No.
He had to seize this opportunity.
He couldn’t afford to get another question wrong.
With that thought, Voldemort looked back at the screen.
On the screen, Ancient One merely uttered two words when Strange voluntarily asked to become her student.
“No.”
The next second, Strange was blasted out of Kamar-Taj by Ancient One.
The sudden turn of events left everyone in the livestream room completely dumbfounded.
[McGonagall: Merlin above! What kind of absurd teaching method is this? You let an outstanding student in and then immediately kick him out?]
[Grindelwald: Even at Durmstrang, we merely send such students to detention.]
[Grindelwald: But I suspect this woman has her own reasons.]
[Grindelwald: Or perhaps she’s doing it for the greater good?]
[Albus: Shut up, Gellert. Don’t distract me from watching my student’s previous life.]
[Luna: I hope that mage changes her mind. Anton is so pitiful.]
The scene shifted back to Ancient One’s secret chamber.
Mordo, the mage who had originally led Strange inside, walked in from outside.
“Ancient One, Strange has been waiting outside for four hours.”
Ancient One calmly replied,
“Let him wait.”
“I won’t accept a disciple like that.”
Mordo said in astonishment,
“But, Ancient One, his magical talent is the highest I’ve ever seen.”
“No one can compare to him. Not even Kaecilius.”
Hearing Mordo mention Kaecilius,
Ancient One said,
“That is precisely what concerns me. Our temple doesn’t need a second Kaecilius.”
Seeing this scene, the people in the livestream room immediately descended into chaos.
