After a cold, mechanical notification sounded, information about the Eternal Blazing Sun spell also clearly emerged in Charles’s mind.

“The tip of the wand releases a scorching orb resembling the sun. After several seconds, it erupts with extreme light and heat, destroying and melting everything within its area of effect.”

“The Eternal Blazing Sun deals double damage to dark creatures, ghosts, dark wizards, and similar beings…”Full novel: Hogwarts : Unlimited Curses — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“The area covered by the Eternal Blazing Sun is related to the host’s magical power and mental strength. Once the host’s magic and spiritual power are sufficient to support it, it may be possible to summon a true sun that covers the entire sky!”

After reading this description, Charles couldn’t suppress the wild joy surging through his heart.

The magic of the Harry Potter world tended to focus on single-target attacks, and there was no automatic targeting.

Even the Killing Curse required the caster to aim.

If it missed, then it dealt absolutely no damage.

This kind of magic relied heavily on combat experience.

Although Charles had already mastered Lumos to perfection after using the deduction system, deduction was not the same thing as actual combat.

He had no confidence that he could definitely hit Dark.

Therefore, if he had deduced a single-target offensive spell, Charles would still have needed to find an opportunity to improve his accuracy.

But the Eternal Blazing Sun was different.

It was an extreme area-of-effect destructive spell.

As long as Dark was within the area of the explosion, he would definitely die!

With this kind of power, Charles didn’t believe that Protego could withstand it.

The killing intent Charles had suppressed for so long began spreading through his heart.

At this moment, after seeing Charles survive several bottles of Ascension Potion in succession, Dark became even more convinced that Charles’s “theory” was correct.

For wizards possessing the qualifications for ascension, increasing the concentration and potency of the Ascension Potion was the correct path toward ascension.

Dark felt that he had already seen through everything.

He became immersed in an extreme state of excitement and complete abandon.

His gaze fell upon the ingredients he had on hand.

He still had plenty of deadly poisons.

But the key problem was the green slime left behind by those ancient beings.

After using several portions of it to create Ascension Potions for Charles, the amount remaining had already decreased considerably.

If he continued experimenting like this, Dark felt that there wouldn’t be much left for him to use when creating his own Ascension Potion.

Therefore, after hesitating for a moment, Dark made a decision.

He poured all of the remaining poisonous herbs into the cauldron in one go.

Then he poured in all of the remaining green slime.

Very soon, an Ascension Potion more concentrated than any previous batch was produced.

Its nauseating stench spread throughout the entire underground chamber.

Dark held the bottle of potion and turned toward Charles.

There was a hint of guilt in his eyes.

“Charles, my friend, I’m sorry.”

“This batch of Ascension Potion is for me.”

“I’ve been pursuing this for far too long.”

“I don’t have time to wait anymore.”

“So this opportunity for ascension will go to me first.”

“You’re still young. You still have plenty of opportunities.”

“You already know the potion’s formula.”

“You can purchase the other herbs in places like Knockturn Alley.”

“R’lyeh.”

“Go search for R’lyeh.”

“You’ll definitely find it.”

“I, Dark Sed, will go ahead first.”

“I’ll wait for you on the other side of ascension!”

With that, Dark revealed an expression of bliss.

He raised the bottle and drank the entire batch of Ascension Potion in one gulp, waiting for his ascension to begin.

Seeing this, a trace of astonishment appeared in Charles’s eyes.

He had been planning to take advantage of Dark’s carelessness, create some distance, and kill him with the Eternal Blazing Sun.

But Dark had actually drunk the Ascension Potion himself?

Even the “stable” version of this potion had been enough to kill so many people.

Charles had deliberately deceived Dark and pushed him further and further toward increasing the potency and toxicity of the potion.

And now Dark had directly maximized the concentration.

It was probably more than ten times stronger than the potion he had previously given Charles.

Could anyone actually survive this?

Even if Godzilla drank it, he would probably be finished!

Sure enough, Dark’s body had already begun developing one swollen abscess after another.

Then his body seemed to begin melting as it twisted and transformed.

Charles moved his wrist and waved his wand.

The ropes binding him were easily sliced apart.

After taking one look at Dark’s current appearance, Charles felt a chill run down his spine and immediately ran toward the exit of the underground chamber.

Dark made no attempt to chase him.

Instead, a muffled voice emerged from his rapidly twisting body.

“My friend…”

“Why are you leaving?”

“I’m ascending!”

“I can feel it!”

“I’m truly ascending!”

“The scenery ahead is so beautiful.”

“Are you sure you don’t want to see it with your own eyes?”

By this point, Charles had already reached the entrance to the underground chamber.

The door was locked.

Charles hadn’t learned an unlocking spell.

But it didn’t matter.

He had the Laser Charm.

With a wave of his wand, a high-frequency laser burst forth, cleanly cutting an opening through the underground chamber’s door.

Hearing Dark’s voice, Charles turned his head.

In the short time it had taken him to reach the exit, Dark had already ceased to resemble a human being.

He had transformed into a grotesque, writhing mass of flesh.

Every chunk of flesh seemed to possess a will of its own, constantly twisting like tentacles and attempting to tear itself free from the mass.

Some of them had even begun growing their own deformed eyes and mouths filled with razor-sharp teeth.

Charles looked at him with disgust and raised his wand toward the center of the underground chamber.

“Dark, you know something?”

“From beginning to end, I never told you a single word of truth.”

“Ascension?”

“It was all a lie.”

“What awaits you isn’t the other side.”

“It’s the hell you deserve!”

Charles waved his wand.

A blazing orb of light floated from the tip of his wand and drifted toward the center of the underground chamber.

“Eternal Blazing Sun!”

The mass of flesh froze for a moment.

Then a crazed roar erupted from within it, as though countless voices had merged together into one.

“No!”

“You lied to me?!”

“You lied to me?!”

But by then, Charles had already turned around and sprinted out of the underground chamber without looking back.

The glowing orb floated above the grotesque mass that had once been Dark.

Then—

BOOM!

It erupted.

Extreme light.

Extreme heat.

Everything poured outward.

It was as though a blazing sun had appeared inside the underground chamber, annihilating everything in its path.

Every trace of evil within the underground chamber, Dark’s deranged body, and even his twisted spirit were all reduced to ash beneath that miniature sun.

Even after running dozens of meters away, Charles could still feel the waves of heat pouring from the entrance of the underground chamber.

A wave of dizziness washed over him.

There was only one thought remaining in his mind.

“This fucking magical-world welcome gift…”

“It’s finally over.”

“Finally over.”

However, perhaps it was only his imagination, but amid the overwhelming light and heat, Charles seemed to faintly hear an excited voice screaming.

“My friend!”

“Hahahaha!”

“I knew you were joking with me!”

“You didn’t lie to me!”

“I did it!”

“I really did it!”

After that, everything went black before Charles’s eyes.

He lost consciousness.
