“Me?”

“Yes, back then I liked you just like some schoolgirl with a crush…”

“Oh my god.”

The Deep’s somewhat exaggerated, teasing laughter came from the side.

“How am I only finding out about this now?

You should have told me sooner.”

“I…”

Starlight pursed the corner of her lips a little shyly.

“Otherwise we could have been having fun together long ago—but it’s not too late now, is it?”

Listening to The Deep’s words, Starlight, standing in front of the window, could clearly see his movements through the reflection on the glass.

As The Deep spoke, he casually pulled his pants right off, plopped down onto Homelander’s chair, and spread his legs toward her.

“Come on, what are you waiting for?

I think this is exactly what you want.”

“After all, who wouldn’t want to come taste their own idol’s milk?”

“I guarantee this will be the most wonderful night of your life so far~”

The Deep licked his lips, his expression brimming with confidence and smugness.

He even very eagerly thrust his hips toward Starlight, showing off his fish whip.

“Wodefa?!”

Seeing this scene, Starlight froze completely.

It was as if she had laid eyes on Medusa—she was petrified on the spot, standing motionless before the window like a statue, unable to believe her own eyes.

“Hey, baby, what are you waiting for?

Is it because it’s too big and it scares you…”

Just as The Deep was working so hard to display his “greatness” to Starlight.

Suddenly.

Starlight saw that, at some unknown point, two crimson little dots had appeared by The Deep’s feet.

Just like the infrared targeting of a gun.

The Deep clearly noticed this change too.

He looked out the window with a dumbfounded expression, then quickly came to his senses.

That wasn’t right.

They were dozens of stories up in the air—how could anyone outside possibly take aim in here, unless they were riding in a helicopter?

But then there couldn’t possibly be no sound at all.

Yet the moment The Deep looked toward the door, he understood everything in an instant.

Because on the conference room’s thick alloy door, two holes had been melted through at some unknown point, as if by intense heat.

This was a scene The Deep had witnessed countless times over the years.

It was a name burned deep into his very bones—Homelander!

Instinctively, The Deep’s first impulse was to spring up from the chair and pull his pants up.

But he was still a step too late.

A blinding laser shot out from beyond the door, drawing a straight line right through the conference room.

It not only split the alloy door clean in two down the middle, but the long table in the conference room wasn’t spared either, and even the floor was plowed with a deep furrow.

It had even nearly grazed his junk!

Gazing at the scene before him, The Deep felt his throat go dry.

Although he too was a superhero, with an equally formidable physique, seeing this still made his heart pound uncontrollably.

Because he knew that this seemingly astonishing power was nothing more than the result of the other man deliberately holding back.

If the man so wished, slicing the entire building in half would be a trivial matter.

Even among superheroes, there were gaps!

“Looks like I seem to have accidentally interrupted you, The Deep.”

Alex’s calm voice rang out, and immediately afterward that thick alloy door was kicked flying away with a single stomp.

The Deep instinctively covered his head with both hands and hurriedly explained.

“Mr.

Homelander, let me explain…”

“Explain?”

Alex’s tall, burly figure stood in the conference room doorway, blocking the light from the corridor behind him.

In The Deep and Starlight’s field of vision.

At this moment, nothing else could remain in their minds—only those eyes glowing with red light were so vivid and clear.

“Explain to me why you took off your pants and sat in my chair?”

“Explain why you’re showing off that earthworm-like thing of yours to the new teammate?”

Alex deliberately lowered his voice, his demeanor cold and his expression utterly unreadable.

“Are you dissatisfied with me, or with her?”

But the more he carried on like this, the more terror filled The Deep’s heart.

The cold sweat on his forehead made his whole body look like it had just been fished out of the water.

“No, no, no, sir.”

“I have no dissatisfaction with you, and I didn’t mean it—I, I was just trying to satisfy a fan’s wish.”

“She, she’s my fan.

She said her greatest wish was to give me a blowj—”

Watching Alex bear down on him step by step with an oppressive presence, looking down from above and scrutinizing him with those red eyes.

The Deep’s heart filled with dread, and he racked his brains for reasons to explain his behavior.

Beside them, Starlight stared in disbelief at The Deep in the chair, feeling as though all her years of worship for her idol had completely collapsed.

Since when was it that her greatest wish as a fan all these years had been to give him a blowjob.

“I…”

Starlight opened her mouth as if to say something, but Alex waved his hand at her, cutting her words off outright.

“The Deep, are you trying to deceive me with that waterlogged brain of yours?”

Alex let out a cold sneer, making the crimson in his eyes blaze even more brilliantly.

If you’re going to put on an act, naturally you have to perform it to the fullest.

Seeing this, The Deep felt a surge of regret.

Just a moment ago he’d been a bit too nervous and had instinctively lied to cover himself, forgetting that the other’s X-ray vision could observe the subtle changes in his body to judge whether he was lying.

“Thud.”

Under these circumstances.

So The Deep simply dropped to his knees, without even getting the chance to pull his pants up, kneeling straight down.

“S-sorry, sir, I shouldn’t have deceived you, nor should I have sat in your chair.”

“I, I was just a little too nervous just now, and instinctively blurted out a lie.”

“It’s all my fault—I was the one who wanted to force Starlight into serving me…”

The Deep knelt on the ground, not daring to even raise his head, let alone resist.

Others might not yet grasp it, but as members of The Seven, no one understood Homelander’s power better than they did.

It was no exaggeration to say that if the man wanted to kill him, he would be like a child—utterly powerless to resist.

On top of that, given the man’s status, even if he really did kill him, the Vought Corporation would absolutely not say a word.

At most they’d arrange a news story about him accidentally dying in the course of apprehending a criminal.

This was the gap!

Not just in power, but in status as well.

Alex looked at The Deep before him and silently shifted his gaze slightly away.

Not for any other reason, but because this guy was simply too much of an eyesore.

He hadn’t even thought to pull his pants up, just bare-assed like that, the skin still bearing the tan lines burned in by his swim trunks.

Had those been on some tanned hottie, Alex might just have let out a whistle and called it sexy.
